"Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang mengapa mahasiswa asing yang belajar di Jepang memutuskan untuk belajar di Universitas Kyushu, Jepang. Dengan melalui internasionalisasi pendidikan tinggi, Universitas Kyushu telah menarik para mahasiswa asing untuk belajar di sana. Adapun para mahasiswa asing memiliki alasan-alasan tertentu tentang mengapa mereka memutuskan untuk belajar di universitas tersebut. Dengan menggunakan penelitian metode kualitatif, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan kajian literatur untuk menganalisis keputusan para mahasiswa asing untuk belajar di sana dari sudut pandang embeddedness dan pilihan rasional (rational choice). Beberapa faktor seperti ketersediaan beasiswa, relasi dengan guarantor, biaya hidup yang murah, program studi yang berkualitas tinggi, lingkungan alam yang asri, dan kelengkapan fasilitas publik adalah beberapa alasan yang menarik para mahasiswa asing untuk belajar di sana. Mereka juga menerima saran dan bantuan dari hubungan pertemanan mereka yang mempengaruhi keputusan mereka untuk belajar di universitas tersebut.

This research will discuss why some foreign students studying in Japan decide to undergo their studies at Kyushu University. Thanks to the university's internationalization of higher education, Kyushu University has successfully attracted thousands of foreign students to study at the university. In this regard, foreign students have personal reasons for why deciding to study at the university. Using qualitative research methods, this research was conducted by way of interviews and a literature review to analyze the decisions of foreign students to study there from the perspective of embeddedness and rational choice. Factors such as the availability of scholarships, low cost of living, high-quality study programs, a well-preserved natural environment, and well-equipped public facilities are some of the reasons that attract foreign students to study there. They also receive recommendations and assistance from their colleagues (friends, academic supervisors, etc.) which influence their decision to study at the university."

"ABSTRAKBahasa Jepang merupakan salah satu bahasa yang paling diminati di dunia,ditandai dengan terus meningkatnya jumlah pelajar bahasa Jepang sertapermintaan di berbagai sektor yang membutuhkan kemampuan berbahasa Jepang.Untuk dapat menguasai suatu bahasa asing, diperlukan usaha-usaha belajar yangdidukung oleh motivasi. Skripsi ini berusaha mencari serta menjelaskankomponen-komponen yang membentuk serta faktor-faktor yang dapat memicumotivasi seseorang dalam mempelajari bahasa Jepang. Penelitian berupapenelitian kualitatif yang datanya diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan serta hasilkuisioner. Analisis dari skripsi berfokus pada komponen-komponen pembentukmotivasi belajar bahasa Jepang mahasiswa asing yang mengikuti program bahasaJepang di Universitas Nanzan periode 2015 ? 2016.

ABSTRACTThe increasing number of the Japanese learners and high demand in many sectorsthat requires Japanese communication skill make Japanese one of the mostfavorable languages in the world. To be able to learn and master a foreignlanguage, one must put extra efforts along the learning process supported bymotivation. This thesis tries to discover and explain the components that constructthe Japanese learning motivation in individuals. The research used qualitativeresearch method which data was collected from literature studies andquestionnaire. The analysis of this thesis is focused on the components thatconstruct the Japanese learning motivation identified among the internationalstudents who enrolled in the Japanese language program in Nanzan Universityduring 2015-2016 period."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang literasi informasi mahasiswa internasional pada Program BIPA di Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang mahasiswa BIPA yang dipilih dengan metode random sampling untuk diwawancara dengan pertanyaan yang merujuk pada teori literasi informasi Big6 yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis kemampuan literasi informasi informan dengan 6 tahap Big6 yaitu, definisitugas, strategi penelusuran informasi, lokasi dan akses, penggunaan informasi, sintesis, serta evaluasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa mahasiswa internasional program BIPA di FIB UI melakukan tahapan literasi informasi tanpa mereka sadari untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi yang timbul dari luar perkuliahan yaitu, kebutuhan informasi dasar, informasi tentang pekerjaan masing-masing, informasi tentang perbedaan bahasa kosakata dan informasi tentang hobi masing-masing informan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan literasi informasi setiap mahasiswa BIPA yang dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia informan, latar belakang kemampuan/pengalaman Bahasa Indonesia informan sebelum tinggal di Indonesia sebelum menjadi mahasiswa BIPA, dan lama tinggal di Indonesia.

This research aims to analyze information literacy skill of Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing BIPA students at Universitas Indonesia in accordance with their foreign language learning need, Bahasa. Einsberg 2004 asserted that information literacy skill is important in foreign language learning. This can be seen from the purpose of foreign language learning comprising of communication, culture, relation, comparison and community which increases the need of information literacy learning to overcome the problems concerning the learning. In order to support the need, the collaboration between information literacy and the use of Bahasa by BIPA students is necessary. Lecture curricula for foreign students would be more up to date if it is adjusted to information need of the students. BIPA students are foreign students who study Indonesian language as their foreign language or it can be called as Indonesian as Foreign Language IFL. Information literacy skill of BIPA students will be analyzed using Big6, consisting of problem defining stage, information finding strategy, location and access, information use, synthesis and evaluation. This research is using qualitative approach with case study method. Data for this research is collected through interviews, observation and literature study. Research informants were 6 six people selected using random sampling. They consisted of two students from South Korea and one student from Slovakia, Japan, Netherland and Vietnam. Most existing researches discuss English as foreign language second language EFL ESL, but no research on information literacy related to Indonesian as foreign language second language. Therefore, this research is going to fill the gap between the previously conducted researches on information literacy related to language skill."
