Laporan ini menganalisa tentang bagaimana masing-masing perusahaan memiliki ketergantungan terhadap perusahaan-perusahaan lain dalam menciptakan format video dan cakram padat. Pada akhir laporan, kami menjelaskan tentang bagaimana Sony, JVC, dan Philips bisa mengurangi ketergantungan tersebut dengan cara mengukuhkan legitimasi kognitif dan sosio-politikal.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh persepsi mengenai kemampuan mengenali peluang dengan self-efficacy terhadap motivasi berwirausaha pada mahasiswa perguruan tinggi program magister. Penelitian dilakukan pada 211 orang mahasiswa program magister manajemen dengan menggunakan model persamaan struktural. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh langsung variabel self-efficacy terhadap variabel motivasi berwirausaha lebih kecil daripada pengaruh tidak langsug self-efficacy terhadap motivasi berwirausaha melalui variabel persepsi mengenai kemampuan mengenali peluang. Hasil ini sekaligus memperkuat hasil-hasil penetitian sebelumnya bahwa persepsi terhadap kemampuan mengenali peluang sebagai faktor kognitif berperan positif dalam mempengaruhi minat seseorang untuk berwirausaha. Dengan demikian, persepsi terhadap kemarnpuan mengenali peluang lebih berperan daripada self-efficacy dalarn mendorong seseorang untuk berwirausaha.
Saran yang diajukan untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah: (1) mengingat besarnya pengaruh persepsi mengenai kemampuan mengenali peluang terhadap pilihan karir usaha mandiri, perlu diberikan pelatihan-pelatihan atau materi mengenai kewirausthaan di sekotah-sekolah, (2) penelitian dapat dilakukan pada mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi lain balk negeri maupun swasta, sehingga dapat diperoleh gambaran yang lebih komprehensif, (3) penelitian mengenai pengaruh kreativitas, pngetahuan sebelurnnya (prior knowledge) dan faktor kognitif seperti peran mental skema terhadap persepsi mengenai kemampuan mengenali peluang perlu dilakukan mengingat dalam penelitian ini yang diuji hanyalah kewaspadaan (allertness), (4) penelitian lanjutan mengenai hubungan yang sating mempengaruhi antara perspesi rnengenai kernampuan mengenali petuang dan self-eficacy motivasi berwirausaha dan (5) Teknik wawancara mendalarn dan focus group discussion dapat digunakan untuk melengkapi hasil penelitian, karena dalam penelitian ini kedua hal tersebut belum dilakukan.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of perception of opportunity recognition ability and self-efficacy to entrepreneurial motivation on university students of magister program. This study administered the measure of structural equation modelling to 211 students of magister management program. Results showed that the direct influence of self-efficacy variable is smaller than the indirect influence of self-efficacy to entrepreneurial motivation through variable of perception of opportunity recognition ability. The result is strengthening the prior result that perception of opportunity recognition ability as cognitive factor had positive role in influencing people's interest to entrepreneurship. Thus, perception of opportunity recognition ability has more important role than self-efficacy in pursuing individual to become an entrepreneur.
Suggestions for future research are: (1) since the important role of perception of opportunity recognition ability to entrepreneurial motivation, it is recommended to have trainings and entrepreneurial material program at schools, (2) study could be conducted on student of the other private and state universities, in order to obtained more comprehensive output, (3) it is needed to study about the role of creativity, prior knowledge and other cognitive factors such as schema mental to opportunity recognition because of the only factor of allertness that has been examined in this study, (4) further research to study mutual-relationship of perception of opportunity recognition and self-efficacy, and (5) depth interview and focus group discussion techniques could be used to add the results of this study.

"Kontribusi UKM pada perekonomian Indonesia mencapai 60%. UKM memiliki kekuatan dan keterbatasan yang berbeda dengan perusahaan besar. Tujuan utama dari studi ini adalah untuk mencari tahu cara memaksimalkan kinerja pemasaran UKM dengan menganalisis dimensi entrepreneurial marketing dan kelompok strategi pemasaran. Berdasarkan data dari 130 UKM di Indonesia, studi ini berhasil mengidentifikasi tujuh dimensi entrepreneurial marketing dan lima kelompok UKM berdasarkan strategi pemasarannya. Dengan menggunakan profile deviation pada concept of fit, ditemukan bahwa kelompok UKM pemasar tradisional yang dikombinasikan dengan orientasi proaktif akan menghasilkan pertumbuhan pasar yang maksimum, sedangkan kelompok UKM pemasar masal dengan orientasi yang terfokus pada pelanggan, akan menghasilkan profit yang paling maksimum.

SME contribute to 60% of Indonesia’s GDP, with its strengths and limitations, SME differ from established companies. The aim of this study is to analyse how to maximise SME marketing performance by combining its entrepreneurial marketing dimensions and marketing strategy clusters. Based on 130 Indonesia SMEs, this study identified seven entrepreneurial marketing dimensions and five marketing strategy clusters. The traditional marketers cluster combined with proactive orientation will get the maximum market growth, while the mass marketer cluster combined with customer focus orientation will result in maximising profitability."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kontinjen fit antara strategi bisnis dan
ketidakpastian lingkungan, dan efeknya pada penghindaran pajak perusahaan.
Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menguji peran Efektivitas Pengawasan Dewan
Komisaris (BME) atas kontinjen fit antara strategi bisnis dan ketidakpastian
lingkungan, dan perannya dalam pengaruh kontinjen fit strategi bisnis terhadap
Penghindaran Pajak Perusahaan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan ukuran baru yaitu
ukuran Penghindaran Pajak dan Indeks Ketidakpastian Lingkungan yang terbukti
secara statistik lebih baik dibandingkan ukuran lain.
Menggunakan data dari perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia
untuk periode 2009-2012, studi ini menemukan bahwa dalam kondisi yang tidak
pasti, kemungkinan perusahaan memilih strategi prospector lebih tinggi dari
probabilitas memilih strategi analyzer. Namun studi ini tidak berhasil
menunjukkan bahwa probabilitas perusahaan memilih strategi defender lebih
tinggi dibandingkan probabilitas memilih strategi analyzer. Penelitian ini juga
menemukan bahwa perusahaan yang cenderung memilih strategi prospector pada
kondisi yang sangat tidak pasti (kontinjen fit antara strategi prospector dan
ketidakpastian lingkungan) memiliki tingkat penghindaran pajak yang lebih tinggi
dibandingkan dengan analyzer dan defender.
Selain itu, dalam ketidakpastian lingkungan yang tinggi, tingkat
penghindaran pajak strategi defender lebih rendah daripada strategi analyzer.
Selanjutnya, studi ini juga menemukan bahwa ketidakpastian lingkungan
memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dan positif dengan tingkat penghindaran pajak.
Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa BME memiliki efek positif, tidak hanya
pada kontinjen fit antara strategi dan ketidakpastian lingkungan, tetapi juga pada
pengaruh kontinjen fit prospector terhadap penghindaran pajak dibandingkan
dengan analyzer dan defender. Oleh karena itu, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa
pilihan strategi yang fit dengan ketidakpastian lingkungan dapat mempengaruhi
tingkat penghindaran pajak perusahaan

ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the contingent fit between business strategy and
environmental uncertainty, and its effect on corporate tax avoidance. This study
also aims to examine the role of Board Monitoring Effectiveness (BME) on
contingent fit between business strategy and environmental uncertainty, and its
role on the relation of contingent fit of business strategy to Corporate Tax
Avoidance. This study develops new measures of Tax Avoidance and
Environmental Uncertainty Index, that statistically better than other measures.
Using data from Indonesian listed companies for the period from 2009 to
2012, this study finds that under highly uncertain conditions, the probability of
companies favoring prospector strategy is higher than the probability of choosing
analyzer strategy. The study fails, however, to demonstrate that the probability of
a firm choosing the defender strategy is higher than the probability of selecting
analyzer strategy. The study also finds that companies inclined to pursue the
prospector strategy under highly uncertain conditions (contingent fit between
prospector strategy and environmental uncertainty) have a higher level of tax
avoidance than that of the analyzer and defender strategies.
Moreover, in a highly uncertain environment, the defender strategy
precipitates a lower level of tax avoidance than the analyzer strategy.
Furthermore, the study also finds that environmental uncertainty has a significant
and positive correlation with the level of tax avoidance. This study reveals that
BME has positive effect, not only, on the contingent fit between strategy and
environmental uncertainty, but also on the effect of contingent fit between
business strategy with environmental uncertainty on tax avoidance of prospector
relative to the analyzer and defender. Therefore, the findings suggest that a
strategy choice that fits with environmental uncertainty could affect the level of
corporate tax avoidance"

Pengukuran yang paling banyak digunakan dalam mengukur keberhasilan dari strategi mereka adalah dengan laporan keuangan seperti rasio-rasio penjualan dan ROI. Jika kita kaji lebih dalam lagi, masih banyak cara untuk mengukur performa dari perusahaan itu, seperti balance scorecard sebagai alat ukur dari keberhasilan perusahaan. Dalam metode ini perusahaan juga bisa mengukur performa perusahaan terhadap pembeli, proses bisnis internal, dan pertumbuhan perusahaan dalam mendapatkan ilmu baru dibidangnya. Dalam studi kasus ini penulis akan membahas lebih dalam tentang bagaimana balance scorecard membantu perusahaan dalam mempertajam tujuan dari persusahaan dalam perspektif yang berbeda.

In these days, companies are more competitive than in the past of planning their strategic objective and measure the performance of the strategy. There is a traditional tool to measure the performance of a company, financial measure, was the only assessment for a company to find out its performance of the year by assessing its financial variables that support financial growth such as ROI, sales turnover and many more. There are a few numbers of measuring companies` performance from different perspective other than financial measures only. Using balance scorecard as a measurement tool for companies can help them to assess other three additional perspectives; customers, internal business processes, and learning and growth. In this report, balance scorecard helped a company to specify objectives of companies in four different perspectives."
