"Hubungan antara pertumbuhan penduduk dan pertumbuhan ekonomi telah menjadi perdebatan yang panjang. Hal ini yang menyebabkan kesimpulan sebelumnya terbagi menjadi beberapa kelompok yaitu kelompok yang berpendapat bahwa keduanya memiliki hubungan positif, negatif, netral, dan ambigu Becker, Gary S., Glaeser, Edward L., Murphy, Kevin M. 1999. dan Bloom, Canning, Sevilla, J. 2003. Namun pembahasan mengenai hubungan keduanya masih menarik karena perbedaan kesimpulan penelitian terdahulu disebabkan oleh perbedaan model penelitian yang digunakan sehingga topik tersebut memiliki tantangan tersendiri untuk menentukan kesimpulan mana yang berlaku di Indonesia. Latar belakang demografi yang beragam di Indonesia mengindikasikan bahwa variabel pertumbuhan penduduk tidak sepenuhnya mampu menggambarkan hubungan sebenarnya antara variabel kependudukan dan perekonomian tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengestimasi dampak pertumbuhan penduduk secara lebih mendalam yaitu dengan menggunakan pendekatan demografi melalui variabel tingkat kelahiran, migrasi dan kepadatan penduduk terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi antar provinsi di Indonesia tahun 1985 - 2015. Penelitian ini mengikuti metode dalam Islam 1995 yang memodifikasi model MRW 1992 dalam data panel. Metode penelitian menggunakan Fixed Effect dari data panel, mencakup 26 provinsi di Indonesia periode 1985 - 2015.Dengan mengunakan variabel demografi untuk mengambarkan variabel pertumbuhan penduduk, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa hubungan antara pertumbuhan penduduk dan pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia adalah netral. Dengan kata lain, pertumbuhan penduduk bukan merupakan komponen utama dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Hasil penelitian ini juga mendapatkan bahwa investasi modal fisik, modal manusia dan perubahan demografi dapat mempercepat konvergensi pertumbuhan ekonomi.

The relationship between population and economic growth had been in a long argue. The last conclusion divided into some groups that stated both of these variable have a positive, negative, neutral, and ambiguous relation Becker, Gary S., Glaeser, Edward L., Murphy, Kevin M. 1999 dan Bloom, Canning, Sevilla, J. 2003. But, the study of the relation between these two still interests to be conducted, because there is a different conclusion due to the distinct research model which applied in it, therefore this topic have a challenge to decide in what kind of the conclusion does Indonesia will have. The variation of demographic backgrounds in Indonesia indicate that population growth is not entirely could be described the exact relation between population and economic variables. This study aimed to estimate population growth collectively by using demographic approaches, change variables, migration, and population density on inter provincial economic growth in Indonesia from 1985 to 2015. This research followed Islam methods 1995 which modifies model MRW 1992 in the data panel. The research method used Fixed Effect from panel data, including 26 provinces in Indonesia within 1985 ndash 2015 period. By applying the demographic variable to describe population growth, this research concluded that the relation between population growth and economic growth in Indonesia is neutral. In the other word, population growth is not a main component in the economic growth improvement. This study also revealed that investments, human capital and demography can accelerate the convergence of economic growth. "

"Penelitian ini mendalami hubungan antara kompetensi digital (IP-TIK) dan rasio penduduk bekerja (RPB) di 34 provinsi Indonesia, dengan faktor-faktor seperti upah minimum provinsi, PDRB-HK per kapita, inflasi, dan kepadatan penduduk. Data diperoleh dari BPS dan Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis regresi model ekonometrika dengan metode Fixed Effect Model, hasil penelitian menunjukkan IP-TIK berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan RPB, di mana peningkatan 1% (relatif) IP-TIK berhubungan dengan peningkatan 0,1138% (absolut) RPB. PDRB-HK per kapita dan kepadatan penduduk juga positif signifikan, sementara UMP dan inflasi negatif signifikan. Terdapat variasi regional di mana IP-TIK signifikan di luar Jawa dengan peningkatan 1% (relatif) IP-TIK berhubungan dengan peningkatan 0,0908% (absolut) RPB, namun tidak signifikan di Jawa. Dari komponen IP-TIK, hanya komponen penggunaan yang signifikan, dengan peningkatan 1% (relatif) berhubungan dengan peningkatan 0.05154% (absolut) RPB.

This study explores the relationship between digital competency that is represented by Information and Communication Technology Development IndekX (ICT-DI) and Employment-to-Popultaiton Ratio (EPR) in 34 provinces of Indonesia, considering factors such as the provincial minimum wage, GRDP per capita, inflation, and population density. Data were obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics, Republic of Indonesia) and the Ministry of Manpower, Republic of Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach and regression analysis with an econometric model employing the Fixed-Effect Model method, the results show that ICT-DI has a positive and significant relationship with EPR, where a 1% (relative) increase in IP-TIK is associated with a 0.1138% (absolute) increase in EPR. GRDP per capita and population density are also significantly positive, while the minimum wage and inflation are significantly negative. There are regional variations where ICT-DI is significant outside Java, with a 1% (relative) increase in ICT-DI is associated with a 0.0908% (absolute) increase in EPR, but it is not significant in Java. Among the components of ICT-DI, only the “use” component is significant, with a 1% (relative) increase associated with a 0.05154% (absolute) increase in EPR."
