"Increasingly graduates, and anyone who is entering employment, need an individual digital presence to stand out and showcase themselves to secure their first professional role. This book takes an employability approach to encourage those currently studying, or about to enter the world of work, to develop a set of skills that enables them to recognise and deliver an effective digital presence, firstly for themselves and then for the organisations who would employ them. It does not assume any prior technical knowledge and emphasises the value and benefits of creating a presence to actively participate in the digital economy.

"Penjaja makanan informal menggunakan ruang kota dengan cara yang bermacam-macam. Dengan sifatnya yang informal, penjaja makanan perlu melakukan adaptasi terhadap berbagai macam ruang kota yang memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda. Oleh karena itu saya mencoba untuk mencari tahu apa yang dilakukan penjaja makanan terhadap ruang kota dengan teori dasar seperti affordances dan tactics. Penelitian ini akan menemukan bagaimana persepsi penjaja makanan terhadap ruang kota dan apa yang dapat dilakukannya terhadap elemen-elemen ruang kota yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini diharapkan membuka wawasan terkait efektifitas ruang kota dengan sudut pandang penjaja makanan informal.

Informal mobile street vendors might use urban spaces with various ways. With its informal properties, mobile street vendors might have to adapt for different kinds of urban spaces with various properties. With that in mind, I tried to explore what might mobile street vendors do with urban spaces based on theory of affordance, strategy, and tactic. This research will find the perception of mobile street vendors to urban sapces and what they might do to urban elements they faces. The purpose of this research is to give insight related to effectivity of existing urban spaces from the perspective of informal mobile street vendors."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang strategi Humas BNN di dalam mengimplementasikannya. Di dalam membentuk kredibilitas BNN melalui media massa dengan mengelola relasi dan mengembankan strategi, mengembangkan jaringan dengan media massa.
Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) sebagai institusi yang menangani penyalahgunaan narkoba dalam bidang pemberantasan, rehabilitasi, pencegahan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. BNN mempunyai visi misi untuk melaksanakan Pencegahan Pemberantasan Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Gelap Narkoba (P4GN) bersama instansi terkait dan komponen masyarakat. Visi misi BNN yang mulia tersebut masih ada persepsi negatif dari BNN.
Salah satu yang menunjukkan negatifnya persepsi tentang BNN adalah dari contoh kasus penangkapan Raffi Ahmad (RA). Sebagaimana dapat dilihat di media konvensional seperti koran dan TV serta media sosial twitter. Sebab dari kasus penangkapan tersebut, masyarakat mempetanyakan kinerja BNN atas penangkapan RA.
Konsep yang di pakai oleh penulis adalah strategi humas, humas pemerintahan dan media relation. Maka penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data dari wawancara, studi dokumen dan studi kepustakaan. Nara sumber yang di pakai dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagian Humas dan Sekretaris Utama BNN.
Hasil penelitian menyarankan Humas BNN perlu meningkatkan media relations dalam konteks kehumasan, di dalam fungsi humas dan manajemen komunikasi dan isu di BNN.

This thesis discusses about BNN public relation strategy in implementing it. To made BNN be credibility in mass media with managing relationships and elicits strategies, developing a network with the mass media.
National Narcotics Board (BNN) as institutions that deal in the field of combating drug abuse, rehabilitation, prevention and community empowerment. BNN has a vision to carry out the mission of the Prevention and Eradication of Illicit Drug Abuse (P4GN) with relevant agencies and community components. BNN is a noble vision and mission is still a negative perception of BNN.
The one that shows the negative perception of BNN is a case of catching Raffi Ahmad (RA). As can be seen in conventional media such as newspapers and TV as well as social media twitter. Because of these arrests, the public questioned BNN performance over the arrest of RA.
Concepts in use by the writer is public relations strategy, media relations and public relation position in government. So this research is descriptive qualitative research design. The data collected from interviews, document studies and literature studies. Resource persons are in use in this study is the Public Relations and Secretary BNN.
The results for public relations BNN need to improve media relations in the context of public relations, in the public relations and communication management functions and issue on BNN.

"Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi Public Relations (PR) dalam membangun citra Lembaga Legislatif, khususnya Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI) dilatarbelakangi rendahnya kepercayaan publik terhadap DPR, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh berbagai survei opini publik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi Humas dalam membangun citra positif DPR RI serta media komunikasi yang digunakan. Teori yang digunakan meliputi Public Relations, Excellence Theory, dan konsep citra. Dengan paradigma post-positivisme, penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus tunggal tertanam. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala biro humas, kepala biro pemberitaan, dan wartawan eksternal. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi, didukung dengan data sekunder dari jurnal, artikel, dan buku yang kemudian diverifikasi melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Public Relations DPR RI lebih berfokus pada pengelolaan informasi kelembagaan daripada membangun citra publik secara menyeluruh. Meski Demikiran, DPR RI memiliki beberapa strategi komunikasi untuk memperbaiki citra lembaganya, seperti program parlemen remaja, parlemen kampus, dan pemanfaatan media sosial seperti Twitter, Facebook, dan Instagram. Namun, penerapan Excellence Theory dalam praktik kehumasan DPR RI menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan partisipasi dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis dan kurangnya keselarasan harapan dengan pimpinan puncak. Upaya membangun citra positif DPR RI juga dihadapkan pada tantangan seperti keterbatasan kontrol atas narasi media, rendahnya keselarasan harapan dengan pimpinan puncak.

This study analyzes the Public Relations (PR) strategies employed in building the image of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), given the low public trust in the institution according to opinion surveys. The research focuses on the strategies and media used by the DPR RI Public Relations Office. Using a post-positivism paradigm, the study employs a qualitative single embedded case study approach. Research subjects include the head of the PR office, head of the press bureau, and external journalists. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations, complemented by secondary data from journals, articles, and books. The findings reveal that DPR RI's PR function is more oriented towards managing organisational information rather than enhancing the overall public image. Nevertheless, DPR RI employs several communication strategies to improve its institutional image, such as youth parliament programs, campus parliament initiatives, and the use of social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. However, the application of the Excellence Theory in DPR RI's PR practices faces challenges such as limited participation in strategic decision-making and a lack of alignment in expectations with top leadership."
