Stage I non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a localized disease without metastasis; therefore, it can be treated effectively with local therapies. Pulmonary resection is the most frequent treatment, performed as pulmonary wedge resection, segmentectomy, lobectomy, or pneumonectomy.
