Pharmacist Internship Programme was held in Corporate Business Development PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk. in Cempaka Putih. The objective of this internship was to know the role and responsibility of pharmacist in pharmaceutical industry, particularly in coorporate business development, understand the business development role in the sustainability of the growth of pharmaceutical companies, and learn the business development stage in a pharmaceutical company. This section will create and develop new products of PT Kalbe Farma, Tbk, then evaluate and explore the potension of the business. The specific assignment was about the development of a database of equivalent words of symptoms checker in Kalcare health website. This assignment aimed to understand the role of a pharmacist on a business project in pharmaceutical industry, for the example was Kalcare health website."

Di samping itu, terdapat tugas khusus yang berjudul “Analisis Telat Rekaman Tablet Antasida X di Departemen Quality Control Periode Januari – Juni 2013”. Tugas khusus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase kumulatif telat rekaman pada periode Januari-Juni 2013 produk yang memiliki pesentase pareto terbesar pada periode Januari-Juni 2013 dan mengetahui penyebab telat rekaman pada produk yang memiliki persentase telat rekaman tertinggi pada periode Januari-Juni 2013.

PKPA activity is intended that students can get knowledge and insight about implementation of CPOB aspects at PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk. and to understand the roles and duties of pharmacist at the pharmaceutical industry. Beside that, there is specific assignment titled “Analizing Later Record of Antasida X Tablet at Quality Control Department Period January – June 2013. This spesific assignment aims to determine the percentage of cumulative late record in January - June 2013 the product that has the largest pareto percentage in the period January - June 2013, and find out the cause of late record on a product that has the highest percentage of late record in the period January - June 2013."

"Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk. dilaksanakan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa calon Apoteker mengenai peran apoteker dalam kaitannya dengan produksi obat serta penerapan CPOB di industri farmasi dengan cara melakukan peninjauan langsung ke industri farmasi dan membandingkan kenyataan yang terjadi di lapangan dengan teori – teori yang diperoleh selama masa perkuliahan. PKPA dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Juni – 16 Agustus 2013. Hasil pengamatan selama menjalani PKPA, dapat disimpulkan bahwa PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk. telah menerapkan seluruh aspek Cara Pembuatan Obat yang Baik (CPOB), sehingga produk – produk yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi standar keamanan, dan mutunya. Apoteker dengan kompetensi yang dimilikinya berperan di dalam penyelenggaraan dan pelaksanaan program-program kerja yang tepat dalam rangka memajukan bidang perindustrian farmasi di Indonesia. Sementara itu, tugas khusus yang diperoleh selama PKPA di PT. Kalbe Farma, Tbk bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami prosedur sistem pengolahan Water for Injection dan pelaksanaan program sanitasi sistem WFI.

Pharmacist Internship Program at PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk was aimed to give the students about the role of pharmacists in relation to drug production and implementation of GMP in the pharmaceutical industry by way of direct observation in the pharmaceutical industry and compare the fact that the field and the theory that gained during the lectures. PKPA was held on 17 June to 16 August 2013. As the student doing the internship there, it can be concluded that

PT . Kalbe Farma Tbk . has implemented all aspects of Good Manufacturing Practice ( GMP ) , so that all of the products have to meet safety standards , and quality. Pharmacists with its competence plays a role in the organization and execution of work programs appropriate in order to advance the field of pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia . Meanwhile , a special task obtained during the PKPA in PT . Kalbe Farma, Tbk., aims to identify and understand the procedures for Injection Water treatment systems and the implementation of sanitation programs WFI systems. "
