Alih kode dalam iklan audiovisual telepon pintar : tipe dan sikap masyarakat terhadap alih kode = Code switching in audiovisual smartphone advertisements : types and society attitudes
"ABSTRAK
Studi ini melakukan penelitian alih kode yang terjadi di dalam iklan audio visual telepon pintar. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua cara metode kualitatif. Pertama, melakukan analisis tipe alih kode yang diambil dari 20 iklan audio visual telepon pintar yaitu Samsung, Oppo, dan Vivo. Kedua, untuk mengetahui pendapat masyarakat umum mengenai alih kode dalam iklan, menyebarkan kuesioner dalam bentuk terbuka dan tertutup. Penemuan berdasarkan tiga merek telepon pintar, hasil menunjukan bahwa tipe alih inter-sentential terjadi dengan sebanyak 52%. Kedua HD , AI , dan Selfie adalah kata terminologi yang digunakan sebagai bentuk motivasi dari alih kode. Kemudian, hampir 70% masyarakat setuju dengan adanya alih kode di dalam iklan karena memberikan dampak positif yaitu masyarakat mudah mengingat iklan tersebut dan secara tidak langsung dapat belajar bahasa inggris. Terakhir, alih kode yang terjadi di dalam iklan tidak hanya bersifat persuasif melainkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan kepada penonton.
ABSTRACT
This present study conducts code switching research that occurs in audiovisual smartphone advertisements. This paper uses two ways of qualitative methods. First, the type of code switching analysis was taken from 20 audiovisual smartphone advertisements, namely Samsung, Oppo, and Vivo because code switching mostly occurs in these three brands smartphone. Second, public opinion finding about code switching in advertisements, distributing questionnaires in forms of close ended and open ended. The findings across brands smartphone that the type of inter-sentential switching occurs with as much as 52%. Furthermore, HD, AI, and selfie are the terminology words as the motivation of code switching. Then almost 70% of the people agree with the code switching in advertisements because it has a positive impact, that is, people easily remember the advertisement and indirectly can learn English. Finally, the code switching that occurs in advertisements is not only persuasive but also can provide knowledge to the viewers."

Penelitian ini meneliti tentang persepsi dan kebutuhan bahasa Inggris mengenai Bahasa Inggris untuk Tujuan
Khusus pada siswa kelas 11 SMA Negeri 116 Ragunan. Hal ini dikarenakan para siswa di sekolah tersebut
adalah atlet profesional remaja. Perbedaan kebutuhan bahasa Inggris dengan rata-rata siswa SMA lain
menjadikan penelitian ini signifikan. SMA Negeri 116 Ragunan memberlakukan kurikulum terbaru di
Indonesia, Kurikulum 2013, yang bisa dikombinasikan dengan tujuan khusus para siswa. Metode yag
digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dan
wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi bahasa Inggris para siswa masih rendah di empat
aspek (mendengar, membaca, menulis, dan berbicara), namun yang terendah adalah kecakapan berbicara.
Penting bagi para guru untuk mempersiapkan siswanya dengan kecakapan yang paling mereka butuhkan dan
memenuhi perubahan kurikulum di Indonesia.
ABSTRACT
This study investigates English language perception and needs for English for Specific Purpose of 11th grade
students at 116 State High School Ragunan, since the students are teenage professional athletes. The
difference English need with the average high school students’ need make this study significant. The school
is also applying the latest Indonesian curriculum, Kurikulum 2013 which can be combined with the specific
purpose of the students. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, using closed-questionnaire
and interview. The result shows that the students’ perception of English is still low in four aspects (listening,
reading, writing, and speaking), but the lowest is speaking skill. It is important for the teachers to provide

A Study of the development of phonological awareness in Indonesian first graders = Studi tentang perkembangan kesadaran fonologis pada anak Indonesia kelas satu sekolah dasar
"[ABSTRAK
Jurnal ini berisi tentang laporan penemuan dari sebuah studi tentang kesadaran fonologis dari 30 anak Indonesia kelas satu sekolah dasar. Para partisipan diuji kemampuannya dalam mengidentifikasi panjang silabel, tes penggabungan kata, deteksi silabel, membalikkan silabel pada nonkata, membalikkan fonem pada nonkata, dan memilih gambar dengan rima yang sama. Ditemukan bahwa kesadaran silabel seperti yang diujikan pada tugas identifikasi panjang silabel, deteksi silabel, dan membalikkan silabel pada nonkata, merupakan tes yang cukup mudah bagi para partisipan, sedangkan tugas membalikkan fonem pada nonkata didapati sebagai yang paling sulit. Hasil dari penemuan studi ini tenyata berhubungan dengan metode pengajaran membaca di Indonesia. Hasil studi ini kemudian dibahas dalam kaitannya dengan fonotatik bahasa Indonesia dan metode pengajaran membaca di Indonesia yang lebih menekankan pada pengajaran silabel. Dikarenakan penelitian tentang ortografi Bahasa Indonesia terbilang sedikit, studi ini merupakan awal yang baik untuk meningkatkan dan memperluas penelitian literasi Bahasa Indonesia selanjutnya.

Participants were tested on identifying syllable length, blending task, syllable detection, reversing syllable in nonwords, reversing phoneme in nonwords, and choosing picture with the same rime. It was found that syllabic awareness as assessed by the identifying syllable length, syllable detection, and reversing syllable in nonwords, was relatively easy for Indonesian students while reversing phoneme in nonwords found to be the most difficult task. These findings were turned out to be related to the methods of teaching reading in Indonesia. Due to the findings, these results are then discussed in relation to the Indonesian phonotactics and teaching of reading in Indonesia, which put more emphasize in syllable. Perbandingan relasi kuasa antar gender dalam film Frozen dan Maleficent = Comparison of power relation between genders in Frozen and Maleficent films
"[ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini melanjutkan diskusi tentang kebebasan perempuan dan perubahan persepsi perempuan sebagai
makhluk yang lemah dan tidak independen. Penelitian ini menganalisis beberapa adegan dan dialog tertentu
dalam film Frozen dan Maleficent dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dengan menggunakan teori
film mis-en-scene untuk menemukan bagaimana hubungan kekuasaan antar gender dalam film baru Disney
berubah dibandingkan dengan film-film sebelumnya. Proses analisis akan menentukan apakah Disney telah
mengubah ideologi karakter wanita dalam film dikarenakan posisi perempuan di era sekarang ini. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media mulai menerima ideologi baru tentang kesetaraan gender di mana karakter
perempuan tidak lagi tunduk dan bergantung pada laki-laki.ABSTRACT This research continues the discussion about women independence and change of perception of women as weak
and dependent. This research analyzes certain scenes and dialogues in Frozen and Maleficent films using
analytical descriptive method by examining the mis-en-scene (theory of film) in order to find how power relation

has shifted the ideology of female characters in films due to the position of women in today‟s era. The result
shows that media starts to accept new ideology of gender equality where female characters are no longer

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat keadaan para tokoh ibu yang berperan sebagai orang
tua tunggal di dalam novel For One More Day karya Mitch Albom (2006). Fokus dari
jurnal ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana stereotip terhadap ibu tunggal khususnya d
wilayah Amerika Serikat sebagai latar novel tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua teori,
yaitu teori Kate Millet tentang aspek pratiarki dalam tulisannya yang the Theory of Sexual
Politics dan teori representasi oleh Stuart Hall. Ditemukan bahwa ibu yang berperan
sebagai orang tua tunggal mengalami diskriminasi hampir di seluruh aspek patriarki. Hasil
penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam analisis terhadap ibu tunggal dalam karya sastra dan isu
perempuan pada umumnya untuk memahami mengapa isu ini terus berulang dari satu masa

Penelitian ini menjelaskan sebuah cerita tentang kehidupan wanita di dalam lirik lagu Survivor oleh Destiny Child (2001). Yang didiskusikan dari penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana kehidupan wanita direpresentasikan ke dalam lirik lagu Survivor melalui Analisis Wacana gramatikal dan lexical aspek. Teori Sumarlam akan menjadi kunci untuk menganalisis lirik lagu Survivor berdasarkan kategori gramatikal dan lexical aspek. Hasil temuan dari penelitian menunjukan meskipun para wanita terkadang mengalami kesulitan dalam menjalani hubungan, namun mereka dapat mengatasi hidup yang sulit dengan bertahan agar mendapatkan kebebasan dan juga bisa menjadi wanita yang mandiri. Penelitian ini dikontribusikan ke dalam analisis teks mengapa di dalam lirik lagu survivor menjelaskan fakta bahwa wanita itu sebenarnya kuat ABSTRACT This research describes a story about woman‟s life in the song lyrics ?Survivor‟ by Destiny Child (2001). The main discussion is about how woman‟s life is represented in the song lyrics ?Survivor‟ through discourse analysis grammatical and lexical aspect. "[ABSTRAK
Makalah ini menganalisis diskriminasi terhadap anak perempuan dalam masyarakat Tiongkok pada novel The Black
Isle. Poin-poin utama dalam makalah ini adalah faktor penyebab dan dampak negatif dari diskriminasi terhadap anak
perempuan. Argumen-argumen dan tulisan dari Kristina Göranson (2010) dan Peter N. Stearn (2006) merupakan
acuan dasar dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tradisi dan keyakinan kuno
masyarakat Tiongkok merupakan faktor inti terjadinya diskriminasi terhadap anak perempuan. Akibat dari
diskriminasi tersebut dianalisis berdampak negatif pada tingkah laku anak perempuan yang didiskriminasi dan juga
keluarganya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel sering sekali membahas isu-isu yang terjadi di dunia nyata
agar dapat dijadikan pembelajaran bagi para pembacanya.ABSTRACT This paper analyzes daughter discrimination among Chinese people in The Black Isle novel. The main points of this
paper are the factors and the negative impacts of daughter discrimination. Kristina Göranson (2010) and Peter N.
Stearn (2006) arguments and writings are the framework of this study. The findings show that Chinese?s old
traditions and beliefs are the core factors of daughter discrimination, and as a result daughter discrimination leads to
negative impacts for the discriminated people?s behaviors and their families. This study shows that novels often
bring issues based on situation in the real world that can be learned in order to avoid it.;This paper analyzes daughter discrimination among Chinese people in The Black Isle novel. The main points of this

Kecantikan adalah hal yang sangat penting dalam dunia perempuan. Tidak ada parameter yang pasti untuk mengukur kecantikan, akan tetapi tolak ukur kecantikan dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai macam hal seperti lingkungan, budaya, pandangan sosial, dan media. Hal - hal tersebut seringkali menyebabkan perempuan terjebak dengan tolak ukur tersebut dimana media memberikan pengaruh yang sangat besar dalam konstruksi kecantikan. Makalah ini akan membahas mengenai bagaimana kecantikan dikonstruksi dalam video klip oleh Calvin Harris yang berjudul "Summer" (2014). Penelitian ini akan mencari jawaban apakah ada tolak ukur dalam menilai kecantikan, dan faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi makna dan konsep dari kecantikan yang terdapat dalam masa kini.ABSTRACT Beauty is a very important thing for women world. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat stereotip yang berkembang di Amerika tentang perempuan Latin dan perempuan pirang yang digambarkan dalam film seri Transformers, yakni Tranasformers dan Transformers: Dark of The Moon. Masing-masing film memiliki karakter perempuan, dimana film pertama memiliki karakter perempuan Latin dan film kedua memiliki karakter perempuan pirang. Stereotip yang berkembang tentang perempuan Latin dan perempuan pirang memengaruhi representasi dan gambaran mereka sebagai perempuan di Amerika. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis komparatif dan metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang menggunakan media populer yakni film. ABSTRACT This study is to cognize the stereotypes that exist in America toward Latina and Blonde which are represented in the Transformers film series, the Transformers and the Transformers: Dark of The Moon. Each of these two films has a female main character, in which the first film uses a Latina woman and the second film uses a Blonde woman. Stereotypes that thrive toward Latina and Blonde influence the representation and the image of these women in American films. Penggunaan bahasa Inggris memiliki tujuan tertentu dan maksud yang berkaitan dengan tujuan dari penulis untuk menghasilkan karya-karya sastra yang baik dan penerbit yang ingin memasarkan produk ini. Penelitian ini ingin menggali alasan dari produser Teenlit menggunakan judul bahasa Inggris daripada bahasa Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan analisis produksi, penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada sudut pandang produsen, yaitu editor dan penulis Gramedia Pustaka Utama. Siapakah pihak yang memiliki kekuatan untuk memutuskan judul dan apa pertimbangannya adalah fokus dari penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebenarnya para produsen tidak hanya mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor komersial atau ekonomi pada judul Teenlit tetapi juga fungsi estetika yang sesuai dengan tema dari keseluruhan cerita dari Teenlit itu sendiri. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman tentang fenomena hibridisasi bahasa yang terkandung dalam Teenlit paling Indonesia.ABSTRACT The use of the English language has a specific purpose and intent related to the purpose of the writers to produce good literature works and publishers who want to market these products. This study is to investigate the reasons of the teenlit?s producers using English titles rather than Indonesian. By using production analysis, this study focuses only on the producers? point of views, which are the Gramedia Pustaka Utama?s editor and authors. Who has the power to decide the title and what the considerations are the focus of this study. The findings of this study show that actually the producers not only consider the commercial or economic factors of the teenlit?s title but also the aesthetic function that matches the theme of the whole story of the teenlit itself.
