Ineffective health management is a problem in mentally ill patient if not handled will harm to clients, families, communities, and even the government.The aim of this study was to identify the effect of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) on Inefective health management and identfy adherance, acceptance, and commitment in the regimen to achieve independent self care. The research approach used in this study was case study conducted on 5 respondents consist of mentally ill patient with Ineffective health management. Measurement used the MARS (Medication Adherence Rating Scale). The analysis result showed, after the client were given ACT and nursing intervention, the adherence increased 71% (14 points), the acceptance ability and commitment increased into 70% on five clients with Ineffective health management. Medication adherence, acceptance and commitment level were lower on the younger clients, client who gets stigma from family and client with lack of family support. Nursing care and ACT were recommended as the basic management of mentally ill patient with Ineffective health management and Orem's theory as an approach in increasing self care."
Domestic violence is one of the trigger problems of mental disorders in women which resulted in low self-esteem. General nursing intervention and specialist therapy of nurses such as cognitive therapy (CT) given to the client in order to change from the negative into positive automatic thoughts and logotherapy is therapy can be used to discover the meaning of the client's life. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of CT and logotherapy on signs and symptoms of chronic low self-esteem in clients who experience domestic violence. the method used in this paper was a case report on four women clients who were victims of domestic violence who experienced chronic low self-esteem using Meleis Transition Model approach. The result showed that the four clientshad a decrease signs and symptoms of low self-esteem in all aspects as well as had an increase capacity after getting CT and logotherapy as nursing interventions actions. the combination of CT and logoherapy is very relevant and appropriate for women victims of domestic violence with low self-esteem
