Public transportation such as buses, trains, planes, and other modes of transport are facilities that should be accessible to all groups, including people with disabilities. Public transportation infrastructure and modes must prioritize the Universal Design Principle concept to accommodate all types of passengers. The Universal Design Principle is an approach in design that ensures infrastructure and modes of transportation can be accessed, used, and enjoyed by as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. This research discusses the influence of infrastructure and transportation mode accessibility on the level of public transportation use by people with disabilities at Manggarai Station. The objectives of this study are to analyze the characteristics of people with disabilities, analyze the level of accessibility, and identify factors that affect the accessibility of infrastructure and transportation modes for people with disabilities at Manggarai Station. This research uses a cross-sectional study design, with a mixed-method approach conducted in June-July 2024. The variables studied include respondent characteristics (age, gender, and type of disability), level of accessibility, and influencing factors based on the universal design principle. Data collection methods include online and offline questionnaires, as well as observation and measurement. Data is processed using SPSS version 24. The results show that the majority of people with disabilities using the infrastructure and KRL (electric rail) transportation at Manggarai Station are aged 31-35 years (31; 30.4%), female (65; 63.7%), and have speech impairments (36; 35.3%). The level of accessibility of infrastructure and KRL transportation for people with disabilities at Manggarai Station is considered high, with 94 respondents (92.15%) feeling that the infrastructure and KRL transportation at Manggarai Station adequately meet their needs. The highest-rated aspect of KRL infrastructure and transportation based on Universal Design is Equitable Use, where 96 respondents (94.11%) feel it is adequate. The lowest-rated aspect is Size and Space for Approach and Use, where only 72 respondents (70.58%) feel it is sufficient. All Universal Design factors significantly influence the level of KRL transportation use. The most dominant factor influencing the level of KRL transportation use is Low Physical Effort, while the weakest aspect influencing it is Size and Space for Approach and Use."

Accessibility in educational environments for people with different abilities is an urgent matter since the number is increasing day by day. Their disabilities have a strong relation with the physical environment. So, it is important to remove the physical barriers by applying the principles of universal design. It is not only people with different disabilities who will be pleased by this, but also everyone in general. However, the educational environment in Indonesia is still not accessible for people with disabilities. It becomes the main reason why they cannot have a proper education and life.
The focus of this writing is about the provision of linkage facilities in the educational environment. It is very important for the mobility of the users. It helps them to move around and travel from one place to another. Harvard University will set the parameters about this research since they have a very good linkage facility for students, faculties, employees, and even visitors in their campus area. It will be used to evaluate the provision of linkage facility in Universitas Indonesia Campus in Depok.
Based on the analysis, the linkage facility in Universitas Indonesia Campus is inaccessible for people with different abilities. It restricts them to move around easily and independently. However, it has potential to become accessible by applying the design standards and technical guidelines that has been set by the government. The minor changes in the design will give a big impact about the level of accessibility for each element on linkage facility. Then, an accessible educational environment in Universitas Indonesia can be realized and everyone with diverse abilities can enjoy it.
