"ABSTRAK
Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) merupakan sindrom penurunan fungsi ginjal dalam mengatur keseimbangan cairan dan elektrolit tubuh, serta eksresi zat sisa metabolisme secara tiba-tiba, yang ditandai dengan penurunan fungsi ginjal dalam beberapa hari. Dalam patofisiologinya,terdapat 3 jenis AKI yaitu AKI pra-renal, intrinsik, dan post-renal. Salah satu penyebab AKI adalah kondisi Ischemia Reperfusion Injury (IRI). IRI merupakan kondisi kerusakan jaringan yang disebabkan aliran darah balik ke jaringan setelah terjadi iskemia (anoksia, hipoksia). Iskemia yang terjadi pada jaringan ginjal menyebabkan berbagai kondisi yang berakibat pada stres oksidatif dan inflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil BUN dan kreatinin pada tikus model Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury. Sebanyak 24 ekor tikus jantan galur Sparague Dawley yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok yaitu kelompok normal (sham), iskemia 15 menit, 30, dan 45 menit. Setiap kelompok terdiri atas 6 tikus dengan berat badan antara 150-200gram. Induksi Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury dilakukan dengan metode bilateral renal pedicle clamping. Pengamatan dilakukan sebelum dilaksanakan perlakuan atau jam ke 0 serta di jam ke 24, 48, dan minggu kedua setelah induksi melalui kadar kreatinin serum dan kadar BUN serum. Data diolah secara statistik secara SPSS dengan one way ANOVA method. Induksi Ischemia Reperfusion Injury selama 15 menit menyebabkan peningkatan kadar serum kreatinin dan BUN pada jam ke 24 (p<0,05), 48 (p<0,05) serta penurunan pada minggu ke 2 (p>0,05). Sedangkan pada Induksi Ischemia Reperfusion Injury selama 30 menit, peningkatan kadar serum kreatinin kadar BUN baru terjadi di jam ke 48 (p<0,05) serta penurunan di minggu ke dua (p>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, induksi Ischemia Reperfusion Injury menyebabkan peningkatan kadar kreatinin dan BUN pada 24 jam setelah reperfusi serta penurunan pada 14 hari setelah reperfusi

ABSTRACT
Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) is a syndrome of decreased kidney function in regulating the body's fluid and electrolyte balance, as well as sudden excretion of metabolic waste, which is characterized by a decrease in kidney function within a few days. In its pathophysiology, there are 3 types of AKI namely pre-renal, intrinsic, and post-renal AKI. One of the causes of AKI is the condition of Ischemia Reperfusion Injury (IRI). IRI is a condition of tissue damage caused by blood flow back to the tissue after ischemia (anoxia, hypoxia). Ischemia that occurs in kidney tissue causes various conditions that result in oxidative stress and inflammation. This study aims to determine the profile of BUN and creatinine level as a biochemical marker for kidney disease in Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury rat model. A total of 24 Sparague Dawley male rats were divided into 4 groups: normal (sham), ischemic 15 minutes, 30, and 45 minutes. Each group consists of 6 rats weighing between 150-200 gram. Induction of Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury is performed using bilateral renal pedicle clamping method. Observations were made before the treatment or the 0th hour and at 24, 48, and the second week after induction through creatinine serum levels and BUN serum levels. The data is processed statistically by SPSS with the one way ANOVA method. Induction of Ischemia Injury Reperfusion for 15 minutes caused an increase in serum creatinine and BUN levels at 24 hours (p <0.05), 48 (p <0.05) and replacement at week 2 (p> 0.05). Whereas in the induction of Ischemic Reperfusion Injury for 30 minutes, the increase in serum BUN creatinine levels occurred at 48 hours (p <0.05) and decreased in the second week (p> 0.05). Based on these results, the induction of Reperfusion Ischemia Injury caused an increase in creatinine and BUN levels 24 hours after reperfusion and decreased 14 days after reperfusion."

"Latar Belakang: Rambut memiliki berbagai fungsi, salah satunya sebagai perkiraan usia individu. Kanitis, atau uban, merupakan tanda penuaan yang muncul pada rambut yang umumnya terjadi pada dekade ke-4 kehidupan. Kanitis prematur (KP) merupakan istilah munculnya kanitis sebanyak 5 helai rambut sebelum usia 25 tahun pada ras Asia. Etiologi penyakit KP belum sepenuhnya dipahami dan dianggap sebagai kelainan multifaktorial. Defisiensi mikronutrien tertentu, meliputi besi dan seng, diperkirakan berperan dalam munculnya KP. Oleh karena itu, diperkirakan kadar besi dan seng dalam serum dan rambut dapat mencerminkan risiko terjadinya KP pada seseorang.
Tujuan: Menganalisis perbedaan rerata kadar besi dan seng rambut dan serum KP dibandingkan populasi sehat dan menganalisis korelasi antara kadar besi dan seng rambut dan serum pasien KP dengan derajat keparahan KP.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi observasional analitik dengan desain kasus kontrol dan dilakukan matching jenis kelamin dan usia. Populasi target penelitian adalah pasien KP dan individu sehat yang diambil dengan metode consecutive sampling berdasarkan kriteria penerimaan dan penolakan. Analisis statistik yang sesuai dilakukan untuk membuktikan hipotesis penelitian. Nilai p<0,05 dianggap signifikan secara statistik.
Hasil: Diantara 32 sampel kelompok KP, 7 orang mengalami KP ringan, 14 orang mengalami KP sedang, dan 11 orang mengalami KP berat. Diperoleh perbedaan kadar seng rambut yang bermakna secara statistik antara kelompok KP dengan kelompok sehat (184,03 vs. 231,83; p=0,01). Perbedaan parameter lainnya ditemukan tidak bermakna secara statistik. Tidak ditemukan adanya korelasi yang bermakna secara statistik antara kadar besi dan seng serum maupun rambut terhadap kejadian atau derajat keparahan KP. Data tambahan, ditemukan korelasi positif lemah antara indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dengan derajat keparahan KP (rρ= 0,392; p=0,026). Riwayat KP keluarga merupakan faktor risiko KP (aOR 14,829; 95% IK 3,073–71,566, p=0,001). Setiap penurunan 1 unit (µg/g) kadar seng rambut, kemungkinan mengalami KP meningkat (aOR 1,007; 95% IK 1,001–1,013, p=0,022).
Kesimpulan: Kadar seng rambut pada kelompok KP lebih rendah dan berbeda bermakna secara statistik dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol sehat, namun tidak ditemukan perbedaan rerata yang bermakna pada parameter lainnya. Tidak ditemukan korelasi antara kadar besi dan seng rambut dengan serum, maupun dengan derajat keparahan KP.

Background: Hair has various functions, one of which is an estimate of an individual's age. Canities, or gray hair, is a sign of aging that appears on the hair and generally begins to occur in the 4th decade of life. Premature canities (PC) is a term for the appearance of gray hair as much as 5 strands of hair before the age of 25 years in Asian ethnicity. The etiology of PC is not fully understood and is considered a multifactorial disorder. Certain micronutrient deficiencies, including iron and zinc, are thought to play a role in the development of PC. Therefore, it is predicted that iron and zinc levels in serum and hair can reflect a person's risk of developing PC.
Aim: To analyze the difference in mean serum and hair levels of iron and zinc between subjects with PC and healthy controls and to assess their correlation with the severity of PC.
Method: This study is an analytic observational study with a case-control design and matched according to age and gender. The target population of the study was patients with PC and healthy individuals who were recruited by consecutive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Appropriate statistical analysis was performed to prove the research hypothesis. A p-value of <0.05 is considered statistically significant.
Results: Among the 32 subjects of the PC group, 7 subjects had mild PC, 14 subjects had moderate PC, and 11 subjects had severe PC. There was a statistically significant difference in hair zinc levels between the PC group and the healthy controls (184.03 vs. 231.83; p=0.01). Differences in other parameters were found to be not statistically significant. There was no statistically significant correlation between serum and hair iron and zinc levels on either the incidence or the severity of PC. A weak positive correlation between body mass index (BMI) and the severity of PC (rρ= 0.392; p= 0.026) was obtained. Family history of PC is a risk factor for PC with an aOR 14,829; 95% CI 3.073–71,566, p=0.001. In addition, for every 1 µg/g decrease in hair zinc levels, the probability of experiencing PC increased (aOR 1.007; 95% CI 1.001–1.013, p=0.022).
Conclusion: Hair zinc levels in the PC group were lower and statistically significant compared to the healthy controls but no significant difference was found in other parameters. There was no correlation between hair iron and zinc levels with serum, nor with the severity of PC.

Penelitian yang membahas hubungan antara seng dan derajat keparahan akne masih terbatas dengan hasil yang tidak konsisten antara satu penelitian dengan penelitian yang lain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian potong lintang komparasi untuk menilai hubungan asupan seng dan konsentrasi seng serum dengan derajat keparahan akne vulgaris berdasarkan kriteria Indonesian Acne Expert Meeting. Dilakukan penilaian asupan seng dan pemeriksaan konsentrasi seng serum terhadap 60 pasien akne vulgaris di Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo. Analisis data asupan seng terhadap derajat keparahan akne menggunakan uji T tidak berpasangan sedangkan analisis data konsentrasi seng serum terhadap derajat keparahan akne menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Pada penelitian ini, asupan seng pada seluruh subjek berada dibawah nilai Angka Kecukupan Gizi Indonesia dan rerata asupan seng pada kelompok akne ringan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok akne derajat sedang berat. Konsentrasi seng serum pada kelompok akne ringan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok akne derajat sedang berat. Ditemukan perbedaan yang bermakna antara asupan seng pada kelompok akne derajat ringan dengan kelompok akne derajat sedang berat, dan konsentrasi seng serum antara kelompok akne derajat ringan dengan kelompok akne derajat sedang berat.

ABSTRACT
Zinc recently known to have an effect on reducing the severity of acne, but this finding was still inconsistent between one study to another. A comparation cross sectional study was conducted to assess the association of zinc intake and serum zinc level with the severity of acne based on Indonesian Acne Expert Meeting criteria. A total of 60 acne patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital were selected. Data analysis on zinc intake on acne severity using unpaired T test while zinc serum concentration on acne severity with Mann Whitney test. In this study, zinc intake in all subjects was below the Indonesian Recommended Daily Allowance and mean of zinc intake in mild acne group was higher compare to the moderate severe acne group. Zinc serum level in mild acne group was higher compare to the moderate severe acne group. There was a significant difference between zinc intake in mild and moderate severe acne group, and zinc serum level between mild and moderate severe acne group.

"Latar Belakang: Tingginya angka kejadian kanker paru menyebabkan diperlukan pemanfaatan suatu penanda biologis spesifik kanker paru untuk menilai progresifitas penyakit. Transforming growth factor-β adalah protein yang disekresi untuk meregulasi proliferasi, diferensiasi dan kematian dari berbagai jenis sel. Semua jenis sel kekebalan termasuk sel B, sel T, sel dendritik dan makrofag mensekresi TGF-β. Jenis TGF-β yang terbanyak adalah TGF-β1. Diperlukan pengukuran kadar TGF-β1 serum darah tepi sebagai faktor prognostik pada kanker paru khususnya KPKBSK stage lanjut
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi perbandingan dengan disain potong lintang pada pasien kanker paru yang telah tegak diagnosis dan bersedia diambil serum darah tepi untuk pemeriksaan kadar TGF-β1 serum menggunakan Human TGF-β1 Quantikine ELISA kit dari R D. Kadar TGF-β1 serum diukur pada 68 subjek yang terdiri dari 30 subjek kelompok kanker paru dan 38 subjek kelompok bukan kanker paru.
Hasil: Kadar TGF-β1 serum pada kelompok kanker paru meningkat signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok bukan kanker paru (median; min-max) (3601.85; 2006.87-14995.25 pg/mL vs 2510.11; 646.31-5584.07 pg/mL) (P = 0.000). Tidak ditemukan hubungan antara kadar TGF-β1 serum dengan jenis kelamin, umur, riwayat merokok, gejala klinis, gambaran bronkoskopi, jenis sitologi/histopatologi, KPKBSK stage lanjut, dan status tampilan umum. Median Survival Time (95% CI) TGF-β1 < 3601.85 pg/mL adalah 9.7 (2.4-16.9) bulan sedangkan TGF-β1 ≥ 3601.85 pg/mL adalah 16.7 (7.7-25.7) bulan. Over all survival TGF-β1 13.3 (5.8-20.8) bulan
Kesimpulan: Kadar TGF-β1 serum meningkat pada kelompok kanker paru dibandingkan kelompok bukan kanker paru. Kadar TGF-β1 serum belum dapat digunakan sebagai marker prognostik kanker paru.

Beckground: The high incidence rate of lung cancer leads to the utilization of a specific biological marker of lung cancer to assess disease progression. Transforming growth factor-β is a secreted protein to regulate the proliferation, differentiation and death of different cell types. Types of immune cells are B cells, T cells, dendritic cells and macrophages secreting TGF-β. The most common type of TGF-β is TGF-β1. Therefore, measurement of serum level of TGF-β1 as a prognostic factors in lung cancer, especially advanced stage NSCLC, to assess progressivity of lung cancer is needed. Method: This study is a comparative study with cross-sectional design in lung cancer patients who had been diagnosed and were willing to be taken for examination of peripheral blood serum levels of TGF-β1 using the Quantikine Human TGF-β1 ELISA kit from R&D system. TGF-β1 serum levels were measured in 68 subjects consisted of 30 subjects with lung cancer group and 38 subjects controlled group.
Result: Serum level of TGF-β1 in lung cancer group increased significantly higher than control group (median; min-max) (3601.85; 2006.87-14995.25 pg/mL vs. 2510.11; 646.31-5584.07 pg/mL) (P = 0.000). There was no association between serum level of TGF-β1 with gender, age, smoking history, clinical symptoms, bronchoscopy, cytology/histopathology, advanced stage of NSCLC, and performance status. Median Survival Time (95% CI) TGF-β1 <3601.85 pg/mL was 9.7 (2.4-16.9) months while TGF-β1 ≥ 3601.85 pg/mL was 16.7 (7.7-25.7) months. Over all survival TGF-β1 13.3 (5.8-20.8) months.
Conclusion: Serum level of TGF-β1 is higher in the lung cancer group compared to controlled group. Serum TGF-β1 levels can not be used as a prognostic markers of lung cancer."

"Defisiensi besi selama kehamilan adalah salah satu defisiensi gizi yang prevalensinya tetap tinggi di dunia yaitu mencapai 70%. Berat badan kurang merupakan salah satu faktor risiko terjadinya defisiensi besi selama kehamilan. Feritin adalah protein cadangan zat besi yang disintesis oleh hati dan dapat meningkat selama peradangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kadar feritin serum dengan indeks massa tubuh pada perempuan hamil trimester 1. Disain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi potong lintang. Penelitian dilakukan di Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Kramat Jati, Jakarta selama bulan Oktober 2013. Pengambilan subyek dilakukan dengan cara consecutive sampling. Empat puluh tujuh perempuan hamil trimester 1 didapatkan memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Didapatkan rerata usia 27,79±4,85 tahun, diantara subyek penelitian 5 orang (10,6%) memiliki berat badan kurang, 25 orang (53,2%) berat badan normal dan 17 berat badan lebih (36,2%). Nilai tengah asupan zat besi 23,21 (8,4 ̶ 36,80) mg/hari. Asupan zat besi menunjukkan 66% subyek memiliki asupan zat besi kurang dari Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG) Indonesia. Nilai tengah kadar feritin serum 58,1 (4,9 ̶ 139,8) μg/L dan 6,4% subyek tergolong status feritin rendah. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh korelasi positif tidak bermakna antara kadar feritin serum dengan indeks massa tubuh pada perempuan hamil trimester 1 (r=0,097, p=0,52).

Iron deficiency during pregnancy is one of nutritional deficiency with high prevalence in the world, reaching up to 70%. Underweight is one of the main risk factors for iron deficiency during pregnancy. Ferritin is an iron storage protein which synthesized in the liver and can be increased during inflammation. The aim of this study was to find out the correlation between serum ferritin levels and body mass index (BMI) in pregnant woman in their first trimester. The design of the study is cross-sectional. Data collection was conducted at Kramat Jati Primary Health Care, Jakarta during October 2013. Subjects were obtained by consecutive sampling method. A total of 47 pregnant women in their first trimester subjects had met the sudy criteria. The mean of maternal age was 27,79±4,85 years, among them are 5 underweight (10,6%), 25 normal weight (53,2%) and 17 overweight (36,2%). Median of iron intake was 23,21 (8,4 ̶ 36,80) mg/day. Intake of iron showed 66% of the subjects had intake of iron less than Indonesian recomended dietary allowance (RDA). Median of serum ferritin levels was 58,1 (4,9 ̶ 139,8) μg/L, while 6,4% of the subjects were catagorized as low ferritin status. No significant correlation was found between serum ferritin levels and BMI in pregnant women in their first trimester (r=0,097, p=0,52)."
