"The anodizing process was conducted in an Al7xxx aluminum alloy with silicon carbide which yielded a non-uniform thickness of anodic film with cavities, micro-pores and micro-cracks within it. This phenomenon occurred due to the presence of Silicon Carbide (SiC) particles within the Aluminum Matrix Composite (AMC), which impedes the initiation and growth of the protective anodic alumina oxide layer. Therefore, cerium sealing has been considered as the cheapest and simplest post treatment to remedy the poor anodic alumina oxide film in order to further enhance the corrosion resistance in aggressive circumstances. This paper examined the protection effect of an integrated layer which was composed of an anodized oxide layer and cerium deposits on an Al7075/SiC composite. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) was used to examine the corrosion protection effect and the corrosion behavior of an integrated layer in 3.5% sodium chloride (NaCl) solution at room temperature. In this study, anodizing of Al7075/SiC was carried out in a sulfuric acid H2SO4 solution at current density values of 15, 20, and 25 mA/cm2, respectively at room temperature, 0oC and -25oC for 30 minutes. Subsequently, cerium sealing was conducted in a cerium choloride plus hydrogen peroxide (CeCl3.6H2O + H2O2) solution at room temperature and pH 9 for 30 minutes. The best protection effect was found for Al7075/SiC, anodized at 0oC. Field Emission-Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM) examination confirmed that the enhancement of corrosion resistance was due to the cerium deposit formed on the entire surface of the oxide anodized layer."

"Prospek play reservoar dengan konsep sub thrust fault merupakan hal baru di cekungan Kutai. Cekungan Kutai merupakan cekungan sedimen tersier terluas dan terdalam di Indonesia. Cekungan ini masih memiliki banyak potensi reservoar hydrocarbon yang belum ditemukan dan harus terus dieksplorasi. Evaluasi prospek merupakan salah satu tahapan penting dalam eksplorasi hydrocarbon.
Analisis sekat patahan dilakukan untuk menguji integritas jebakan pada prospek. Pemetaan geometri persebaran reservoar prospek menggunakan metode analisis spectral decomposisi.
Tujuan tesis ini adalah untuk menyelidiki sebaran reservoar beserta keutuhan jebakan dengan menggunakan analisis Spektral Dekomposisi dan dengan menganalisis throw, transmsibility, dan juxtaposisi. Analisis patahan menentukan area leaking dan sealing pada bidang patahan.
Dalam penelitian ini juga dilakukan analisis zona frekuensi rendah dimana anomali amplitudo diamati pada frekuensi rendah dan dibandingkan dengan amplitudo pada frekuensi pertengahan dan frekuensi tinggi. Analisis amplitude digunakan untuk membedakan kemungkinan lithologi dan fluida pengisinya. Anomali amplitudo terlihat pada frekuensi rendah dan menghilang pada frekuensi tinggi.
Metode dekomposisi spektral yang digunakan adalah Continous Wavelet Transform (CWT) dengan menggunakan wavelet Morlet, Short Term Fourier Transform (STFT) dan Generelized Spectral Decomp (GSD).
Hasil proses dekomposisi spektral pada frekuensi rendah (10 Hz) menunjukkan potensi area reservoar baru di kedalaman 1500-2500 ms. Hasil analisis sekat patahan juga memperlihatkan potensial jebakan di bawah sub thrust Patahan 2. Peta dari berbagai proses tersebut kemudian di-overlay untuk melihat peta resiko prospek eksplorasi di daerah penelitian.

The prospect of a play reservoir with the concept of sub thrust fault is new in the Kutai basin. The Kutai Basin is the widest and deepest tertiary sedimentary basin in Indonesia. This basin still has many hydrocarbon reservoir potentials that have not yet been discovered and must be explored. Prospect evaluation is one of the important stages in hydrocarbon exploration.
Analysis of fault seal is done to test the unity of the trap to the prospect. Geometry mapping of prospect reservoir distribution is defined by using spectral decomposition analysis method.
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the distribution of reservoirs and trap integrity by using Spectral Decomposition analysis and by analyzing the throw, transmissibility, and juxtaposition. Fault analysis determines the area of leaking and sealing in the fault plane.
In this study also carried out low frequency zone analysis where amplitude anomalies is able to be observed at low frequencies and compared with amplitude at mid frequency and high frequency.
Amplitude analysis is used to distinguish lithological possibilities and fill fluid. Amplitude anomalies are seen at low frequencies and disappear at high frequencies. The spectral decomposition method used is Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) using Morlet wavelets, Short Term Fourier Transform (STFT) and Generelized Spectral Decomp (GSD).
The results of the spectral decomposition process at low frequencies (10 Hz) show the potential of the new reservoir area at a depth of 1500-2500 ms. The results of fault seal analysis also show potential trap under sub thrust Fault 2. Maps of the various processes are then overlaid to see the risk map of exploration prospects in the research area.

"Proses anodisasi pada aluminium menghasilkan struktur fenomenal berupa oksida logam yang terkenal dengan istilah Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO). AAO sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan daya adhesi pada proses pelapisan selanjutnya baik pada aluminium dan paduannya maupun komposit aluminium. Hal tersebut terjadi akibat adanya ikatan saling kunci antara lapisan oksida hasil anodisasi (AAO) dengan pelapis berikutnya. Morfologi pori pada AAO dapat dengan mudah dimodifikasi melalui perubahan parameter anodisasi. Namun, sayangnya penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya belum menyediakan informasi apapun mengenai pengontrolan diameter pori. Sedangkan seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa perbedaan aplikasi yang diinginkan membutuhkan diameter pori yang berbeda pula.
Oleh karena itu guna mendapatkan diameter pori dengan ukuran tertentu maka pemilihan parameter proses anodisasi yang tepat sangatlah penting. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, dalam penelitian ini akan dihasilkan persamaan empiris yang dapat memprediksi ukuran diameter dan densitas pori AAO yang terbentuk hasil anodisasi dengan berbagai parameter tertentu agar dapat digunakan dalam aplikasi yang sesuai.
Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah pengembangan persamaan empiris yang menggambarkan hubungan konsentrasi oksalat, tegangan dan waktu anodisasi terhadap diameter pori. Namun penelitian ini juga menganalisis mekanisme pembentukan, karakteristik, dan ketahanan korosi lapisan terintegrasi pada Al7075/SiC. Serta menganalisis pengaruh konsentrasi, temperatur, dan resistivitas larutan elektrolit, dan tegangan anodisasi terhadap diameter dan densitas pori AAO pada aluminium foil.
Proses anodisasi Al7075/SiC dilakukan dalam larutan asam sulfat 16% H2SO4 dengan rapat arus 15, 20, 25 mA/cm2 pada 25, 0, -25oC selama 30 menit. Selanjutnya dilakukan proses sealing dalam larutan CeCl3.6H2O + H2O2 pada temperatur ruang dengan pH 9 selama 30 menit. Proses anodisasi pada aluminium foil dilakukan dalam larutan 3 M H2SO4 + 0,5 M; 0,7 M; dan 0,9 M H2C2O4, dan 0,3; 0,5; 0,7 M H2C2O4 selama 40-60 menit. Proses anodisasi dilakukan pada tegangan konstan 35, 40, dan 45 V untuk larutan asam oksalat dan 15 V untuk larutan campuran.
Pengamatan dan evaluasi morfologi lapisan pori hasil anodisasi dilakukan menggunakan alat FE-SEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope), ketahanan korosi material diinvestigasi menggunakan pengujian polarisasi dan EIS, sedangkan analisa kualitatif terhadap morfologi pori (diameter dan densitas) pada AAO menggunakan perangkat lunak ImagePro. Pengembangan persamaan empiris menggunakan metode derajat terkecil dan permukaan respon.
Proses terintegrasi yang diaplikasikan pada komposit Al7075/SiC pada temperatur anodisasi 0 oC menghasilkan terbentuknya deposit bulat kaya cerium dengan diameter 64 nm ( 3 nm) yang menutupi seluruh permukaan lapisan oksida dan rongga secara efektif. Proteksi terintegrasi anodisasi dan pelapisan cerium meningkatkan ketahanan korosi hingga 4 order perbesaran dibandingkan tanpa perlindungan akibat terjadinya ikatan saling kunci antara kedua lapisan tersebut.
Peningkatan konsentrasi larutan elektrolit asam oksalat, temperatur, tegangan dan waktu celup anodisasi dalam larutan 0,3; 0,5; dan 0,7 M mengakibatkan peningkatan diameter pori permukaan pada AAO. Sedangkan, penambahan asam sulfat dalam asam oksalat menghasilkan pori dengan morfologi diameter pori yang jauh lebih halus dan densitas pori yang jauh lebih besar. Secara umum, densitas pori hanya tergantung pada diameter pori hasil anodisasi, dimana peningkatan diameter pori menghasilkan densitas pori yang semakin menurun. Persamaan empiris hubungan antara tiga faktor anodisasi (konsentrasi asam oksalat, tegangan, dan waktu anodisasi) dengan diameter pori hasil dari penelitian ini adalah : Dp = 0,140625 MVt + 0,33125 MV ? 523542 Mt + 35,64583 M ? 0,04006 Vt + 0,685764 V +1,792431 t ? 42,5053 (derajat terkecil) dan Dp = 33,3 ? 236,3 M ? 1,453 V + 0,3942 t + 7,60 MV (metode derajat satu)

Anodizing process in aluminum produces a phenomenal structure in form of metal oxide which is known as Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO). AAOis a very useful morfology to improve the adhesion properties for further coating in aluminum alloy and composite aluminum. This phenomenon is related to the presence of interlock bond between AAO and the next layer. The AAO morphology can be modified simply by varying anodizing parameters.
Therefore, selecting appropriate parameters plays an important role in order to obtain the desired pore size. Unfortunately, the preliminary studies did not provide any information on controlling the pore size and density (through increasing/decreasing the concentration of sulfuric acids, voltage, and duration of anodizing to determine pore diameter and density).
For that purpose, in this research some empirical models were built to predict the pore size produced by anodizing process in various parameters. The grand design if this research aims to develop empirical equations which predict the relationship between oxalic acid concentration, anodizing voltage and time to the pore diameter. However, this research also aims to analyze the formation mechanism and of the integrated layer on Al7075/SiC, as well as the enhancement of corrosion resistance resulted from the integrated layer. Moreover, the influence of various anodizing parameters, i.e. resistivity, concentration, temperature, and type of electrolyte on pore characteristics of AAOis also conducted in this study.
Anodizing process of Al7075/SiC was conducted in 16% H2SO4 solution in current densities 15, 20, 25 mA/cm2 at25, 0, -25oC for 30 minutes. Subsequently, cerium sealing process was carried out in CeCl3.6H2O+H2O2 at room temperature and pH 9 for 30 minutes. Anodizing of aluminum foil were carried out in 0,3; 0,5; 0,7M H2C2O4 solution and a mixture solution of 0.5M, 0.7M, and 0.9M H2C2O4 and 3M H2SO4 for 40-60 minutes. Anodizing processes were performed under potentiostatic conditions with constant potentials of 35, 40, and 45V for oxalic solution and 15 V for a mixture solution.
Morphology of AAO layer observations were performed using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) FEI Inspect F50, while the corrosion resistance of materials were investigated by means of polarization and EIS, and qualitative analysis of pore characteristics (pore diameters and densities) accomplised by ImagePro software.
The development of empirical equations using least square and response surface methods Integrated protection by conducting anodization at 0oC prior to cerium sealing in Al7075/SiC leads tothe formation of cerium spherical deposit in the diameter of 64 nm ( 3nm) which effectively covered most of the surface of oxide film as well as cavity. Moreover, this integrated protection enhanced four orders magnification of corrosion resistance than that of bare composite due to interlock bonding between the layers.
The increasing of electrolyte concentration and temperature, as well as voltage and duration of anodizing in 0.3; 0.5; dan 0.7 M oxalic acid leads to the increasing of pore diameter in AAO surface. While, the addition of sulfuric acid in oxalic acid provides much smaller pore diameters and higher pore densities at lower voltages than single electrolyte of oxalic acid. In general, pore density is only dependent on pore diameter, which decreases with the increases of pore diameter. The empirical equations built in this research are : Dp = 0,140625 MVt + 0,33125 MV ? 523542 Mt + 35,64583 M ? 0,04006 Vt + 0,685764 V +1,792431 t ? 42,5053 (least square) and Dp = 33,3 ? 236,3 M ? 1,453 V + 0,3942 t + 7,60 MV (first order model)

Latar belakang: Siler dapat meningkatkan sealing ability Tujuan: Menganalisis dan membandingkan sealing ability pengisian saluran akar dengan siler bioceramic dan resin metakrilat. Metode: Tiga puluh gigi dengan saluran akar tunggal, dipreparasi dengan ProTaper Next, dibagi dalam dua kelompok secara acak; Masing-masing grup diisi dengan gutaperca berlapis, untuk kelompok 1 menggunakan Siler Bioceramic SB dan kelompok 2 Siler Resin-Metakrilat SRM . Pengukuran kebocoran dengan tinta india pada daerah sepertiga apikal apeks yang dipotong secara melintang, kemudian dilihat dengan mikroskop stereo. Hasil: Kelompok siler bioceramic menunjukkan celah tepi yang lebih sedikit jika dibandingkan dengan siler resin-metakrilat. Kesimpulan: Sealing ability pengisian saluran akar menggunakan siler bioceramic SB lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siler resin-metakrilat SRM .
ABSTRAK
Background Sealer may increase sealing ability. Purpose To compare and analyze sealability of obturation using the bioceramic sealer and methacrylate resin based sealer. Methods thirty single rooted teeth were prepared using ProTaper Next and divided randomly into two groups the first group was obturated with Bioceramic Sealer SB while the second group was obturated with methacrylate resin based sealer SRM . Each group used coated gutta percha as a core material. Apical third marginal adaptation was evaluated by observing the dye penetration between the obturation material and the root canal walls on cross sectioned samples. Results SB Showed the least microleakage in the apical third marginal adaptation, followed by SRM. Conclusion Obturation of root canal using bioceramic sealer has the best sealing ability at the apical third, compared to SRM."

"ASBTRACT
Purpose: We developed a microwave energy-based scissors device (MWCX) that is capable of performing cutting and coagulation using 2.45 GHz microwave energy. This paper aims to present the concept of the device and assess the basic functions including the hemostasis, cutting, and sealing abilities.
Methods: Seven beagle dogs were used in our experiments. In six dogs, we measured the coagulation time (CT), lateral thermal injury (LTI), bursting pressure (BP). The dogs were then subjected to re-laparotomy 1 week later to allow us to investigate the results. In one dog, the same factors and the quantities of smoke and mist emitted were compared to those observed when using a Harmonic Focus (HF) device.
Results: At 60 W, the MWCX could cut and seal small (5 s, diameter 1-2 mm) and medium-sized (10 s, 3-4 mm) vessels with complete hemostasis. The liver (length 2 cm) was cut for 30 s. Harvested vessels were sealed for 10 s (artery, 17 times; vein, six times). The mean BP was 887. 8 ± 41.5 mmHg in the medium arteries and 457.2 ± 118.0 mmHg in veins, with a mean diameter of 4.5 ± 1.3 mm. In a comparative study, the MWCX showed similar results to the HF with regard to the CT, BP and LTI, and emitted less smoke and mist.
Conclusion: The MWCX showed similar levels of functionality and safety to HF, as well as the advantages offered by the use of microwave energy. Microwave devices might be used in the majority of applications for which traditional energy devices are used."

"Latar Belakang: Pengisian saluran akar dengan teknologi terbaru siler premixed kalsium silikat pozolan dengan aktivasi ultrasonik dapat mengurangi porositas pengisian saluran akar. Reaksi pozolan menghasilkan siler dengan daya alir yang lebih baik dengan waktu pengerasan yang lebih cepat, terlebih dengan aktivasi ultrasonik yang akan mengurangi terbentuknya porositas dan meningkatkan kerapatan siler terhadap dinding saluran akar. Tujuan: Menganalisis perbedaan kerapatan siler berbasis kalsium silikat dan siler berbasis kalsium silikat pozolan dengan aktivasi ultrasonik dan tanpa aktivasi ultrasonik terhadap dinding saluran akar. Metode: Evaluasi kerapatan siler berbasis kalsium silikat dan kalsium silikat pozolan dengan aktivasi ultrasonik dan tanpa aktivasi ultrasonik terhadap dinding saluran akar pada 32 gigi premolar rahang bawah yang sudah diekstraksi yang dilihat dari persentase volume porositas pengisian saluran akar menggunakan dengan teknologi 3 dimensi Mikro-CT. Hasil: Siler berbasis kalsium silkat pozolan yang diaktivasi ultrasonik menunjukkan kerapatan siler saluran akar terhadap dinding saluran akar terbaik. Kesimpulan: Kerapatan siler berbasis kalsium silikat pozolan terhadap dinding saluran akar lebih baik dibandingkan siler berbasis kalsium silikat. Kerapatan siler yang diaktivasi ultrasonik terhadap dinding saluran akar juga lebih baik dibandingkan dengan yang tidak diaktivasi ultrasonik.

The latest technology of premixed calcium silicate pozzolan sealer with ultrasonic activation can reduce the porosity of root canal filling. Pozzolan reaction allows the sealer with better flow capacity with faster hardening time, especially with ultrasonic activation which will reduce the formation of porosity and increase sealing ability of root canal filling. Objective: Analyzing differences in sealing ability of calcium silicate-based sealers and calcium silicate pozzolan-based sealers with ultrasonic activation and without ultrasonic activation with 3D Micro-CT analysis. Methods: 32 samples of single rooted lower premolar were given root canal filling using gutta percha and calcium silicate-based sealers and with or without ultrasonic activation. Sealing ability was evaluated by measuring total porosity of the root canal filling. Group 1: calcium silicate-based sealer without ultrasonic activation, group 2: calcium silicate-based sealer with ultrasonic activation, group 3: calcium silicate pozzolan-based sealer without ultrasonic activation, and group 4: calcium silicate pozzolan-based sealer with ultrasonic activation. Result: Ultrasonic activated calcium silicate pozzolan-based showed the best sealing ability with lowest porosity. Conclusion: Calcium silicate pozzolan-based sealers have better sealing ability compared to calcium silicate-based sealers. The ultrasonic activated sealer groups also showed better sealing ability compared to the one that was not activated by ultrasonic."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan sealing dua macam sealer, dengan liquid eugenol dan sealer tanpa eugenol sebagai perekat gutta-percha pada penutupan saluran akar. Enam puluh delapan saluran akar lures dari gigi-gigi yang baru dicabut, dipreparasi secara konvensional sampai 1 mm dari apeks dengan file no. 60. Foramen apikal ditembus dengan file no.25 untuk mendapatkan keseragaman diameter. Tiga puluh akar gigi diisi gutta-percha dengan sealer AH-26 (tanpa eugenol), dan 30 lainnya dengan gutta-percha dengan sealer proco-sol (mengandung eugenol). Empat saluran akar diisi dengan gutta-percha saja sebagai kontrol positif, 4 saluran akar lain dibiarkan kosong dengan apeks yang ditutup sticky wax sebagai kontrol negatif. Kebocoran pengisian saluran akar diukur dengan dye penetration tinta Petikan hitam, dengan interval waktu rendaman 1 dan 15 hari setelah pengerasan sealer 48 jam. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan Stereo mikroskop untuk melihat kebocoran vertikal dan horisontal. Hasil penelitian dengan tes Anova menunjukkan kemampuan sealing Proco-Sol lebih rapat secara bermakna. Waktu rendaman 1 dan 15 hari ternyata tidak mempengaruhi besar kemampuan sealing. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik pada penelitian ini ialah bahwa Proco-Sol memberikan kwalitas penutupan lebih rapat dibanding sealer AH-26."

"Kontaminasi bakteri pada tumpatan sementara dapat menyebabkan kegagalan perawatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan sealing ability tumpatan sementara berbasis zinc oxide eugenol dan non-eugenol. Dua puluh gigi premolar yang telah diekstraksi ditumpat 4 bahan tumpatan sementara zinc oxide yang berbeda lalu direndam selama 5 hari dalam methylene blue 1% dan diuji penetrasi pewarna dengan skoring menggunakan alat stereomikroskop Nikon SMZ800, Japan (perbesaran 63x). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sealing ability pada tumpatan sementara zinc oxide non-eugenol lebih baik dibandingkan zinc oxide eugenol.

Bacteria contamination on temporary filling can cause treatment failure. The aim of this study was to evaluate the sealing ability of zinc oxide eugenol and noneugenol based temporary filling by dye penetration test using scoring. Twenty extracted maxillary premolar were filled with 4 different temporary filling, then immersed in 1% methylene blue solution for 5 days and evaluated under stereomicroscope Nikon SMZ800, Japan (63x). Results showed that sealing ability of zinc oxide non-eugenol based temporary filling was better than temporary filling based of zinc oxide eugenol."

Latar Belakang: siler polidimetilsiloksan merupakan siler baru yang berpotensi
menutup saluran akar lebih baik. Tujuan: membandingkan tingkat kerapatan
pengisian di sepertiga apeks antara teknik kon tunggal (KT) dan downpackbackfill
(DB) menggunakan siler polidimetilsiloksan. Metode: empat puluh gigi
premolar bawah dibagi menjadi dua kelompok KT dan DB. Setelah pengisian
saluran akar, sampel diinkubasi, dilapisi cat kuku, direndam dalam tinta India, lalu
dibuat transparan dengan metode Robertson. Kebocoran di sepertiga apeks
dievaluasi dengan mikroskop stereo. Hasil: skor kebocoran terendah (0-0,5 mm)
dimiliki oleh kelompok KT dan skor kebocoran tertinggi (>1 mm) dimiliki oleh
kelompok DB. Kesimpulan: teknik kon tunggal memberikan tingkat kerapatan
yang lebih baik dibandingkan downpack-backfill, walaupun secara statistik perbedaan antar keduanya tidak signifikan. ABSTRACT
Background: polydimethylsiloxane sealer is a brand new sealer that potentially
has a better sealing ability to the root canal. Aim: to compare the apical sealing
ability in one third apex between single cone (SC) and downpack-backfill (DB)
technique using polydimethylsiloxane sealer. Methods: fourty extracted human
manibular premolars devided into two group, SC and DB. After obturated with
polydimethylsiloxane sealer, samples were stored in incubator, coated with nail
varnish, immersed in India ink, and then specimens were cleared using
Robertson?s technique. The apical dye penetration was evaluated using a
stereomicroscope. Result: the lowest leakage score (0-0,5 mm) was found in SC
group and the highest score(>1 mm) in DB group. Summary: single cone
technique exibited better sealing ability rather than downpack-backfill technique, although no statistical significant difference between this two techniques. ;Background: polydimethylsiloxane sealer is a brand new sealer that potentially
has a better sealing ability to the root canal. Aim: to compare the apical sealing
ability in one third apex between single cone (SC) and downpack-backfill (DB)
technique using polydimethylsiloxane sealer. Methods: fourty extracted human
manibular premolars devided into two group, SC and DB. After obturated with
polydimethylsiloxane sealer, samples were stored in incubator, coated with nail
varnish, immersed in India ink, and then specimens were cleared using
