"Obesitas dan resistensi insulin pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dapat menyebabkan hiperlipidemia dan komplikasi pada sistem kardiovaskular. Metformin digunakan sebagai lini pertama terapi diabetes melitus tipe 2 dan dapat diberikan secara tunggal maupun kombinasi dengan golongan sulfonilurea. Namun beberapa studi menyatakan adanya peningkatan risiko penyakit kardiovaskular pada penggunaan terapi kombinasi metformin-sulfonilurea sedangkan penggunaan terapi kombinasi ini cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengunaan terapi metformin maupun terapi kombinasi metformin-sulfonilurea terhadap profil lipid pasien DM tipe 2 yang berkaitan erat dengan penyakit kardiovaskular. Desain studi yang digunakan adalah cross sectional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yakni consecutive sampling. Seluruh subjek yang diikutsertakan telah mengonsumsi metformin n=38 atau kombinasi metformin-sulfonilurea n=51 selama minimal 1 tahun dan berpuasa selama 8 jam sebelum pengambilan darah untuk pengujian profil lipid. Profil lipid yang terdiri dari kadar kolesterol total, kadar HDL, kadar trigliserida dan kadar LDL diukur dari sampel darah subjek. Alat pengukur profil lipid menggunakan metode enzimatik. Hasil pengujian kolesterol total, kadar HDL, kadar trigliserida dan kadar LDL menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pada kelompok metformin lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok terapi kombinasi metformin-sulfonilurea namun tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang bermakna p>0,05 untuk tiap komponen yang diukur. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metformin dapat menghasilkan profil lipid yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan penggunaan terapi kombinasi metformin sulfonilurea, meskipun tidak berbeda secara statistik.

Obesity and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients can cause hyperlipidemia and complications in the cardiovascular system. Metformin is used as a first line therapy of type 2 diabetes mellitus and can be administered only or in combination with sulfonylurea group. However, some studies suggest an increased risk of cardiovascular disease in the use of combination metformin sulfonylurea therapy while the use of combination therapy is quite high. This study conducted to determine the effect of metformin therapy and metformin sulfonylurea combination therapy on lipid profile of type 2 DM patients which relate to cardiovascular disease. The study design was cross sectional with sampling technique is consecutive sampling. All subjects who were enrolled had taken metformin n 38 or a combination of metformin sulfonylurea n 51 for at least 1 year and fasted for 8 hours prior to blood sampling for lipid profile testing. Lipid profile consisting of total cholesterol level, HDL level, triglyceride level and LDL level were measured from blood samples of the subjects. Lipid profile was analyzed by enzymatic methods. Results of total cholesterol, HDL levels, triglyceride levels and LDL levels testing showed that the average in the metformin group was better than the metformin sulfonylurea combination therapy group but did not show a significant difference p 0.05 for each measured component. Therefore it can be concluded that the use of metformin can produce a better lipid profile compared with the use of a combination of metformin and sulfonylurea, although not statistically different."

"[ABSTRAK
Latar belakang. Individu dewasa di masyarakat menunjukkan perubahan pola makan dan kurang aktivitas sehingga berisiko untuk menderita hiperkolesterolemia dan obesitas. Hiperkolesterolemia dapat diatasi dengan terapi nutrisi. Minyak bekatul mengandung zat aktif yang bekerja secara sinergis dan telah terbukti dari penelitian sebelumnya berperan dalam pengendalian lipid yaitu gamma-oryzanol, fitosterol, dan derivat vitamin E (tokotrienol dan tokoferol). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai perbaikan profil lipid pada pemberian minyak bekatul dengan jumlah yang berbeda tanpa merubah pola makan subyek. Metode. Uji klinis, desain paralel, alokasi acak selama 4 minggu pada laki-laki usia 19-55 tahun, kolesterol total 200-300 mg/dl, dan IMT 20-30 kg/m2. Subyek diambil secara konsekutif dan dibagi menjadi kelompok 45 ml/hari dan kelompok 15 ml/hari minyak bekatul. Sebelum perlakuan dilakukan wawancara data demografi, aktifitas fisik dan pemeriksaan antropometri. Asupan makan dinilai sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Pemeriksaan laboratorium profil lipid dilakukan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan 4 minggu.
Hasil. Dari total 20 subyek (10 subyek kelompok 45 ml/hari dan 10 subyek kelompok 15 ml/hari) didapatkan karakteristik yang setara antara kedua kelompok menurut usia, tingkat pendidikan, status gizi, aktivitas fisik, kebiasaan merokok, riwayat hiperkolesterolemia keluarga, antropometri dan profil lipid. Asupan makanan meliputi asupan energi, karbohidrat, protein, lemak dan serat sebelum perlakuan tidak berbeda bermakna antara kelompok. Asupan lemak setelah perlakuan berbeda bermakna antara kedua kelompok dikarenakan perbedaan pemberian jumlah minyak.
Setelah perlakuan selama 4 minggu, didapatkan penurunan kolesterol total secara statistik berbeda bermakna antara kedua kelompok (p=0,049). Pada kelompok 45 ml/hari kadar kolesterol total turun sebanyak 14% dan pada kelompok 15 ml/hari terjadi penurunan kadar kolesterol total 7,8%. Penurunan LDL dan trigliserida serta peningkatan HDL secara statistik tidak berbeda bermakna antara dua kelompok (p >0,05). Pada penelitian ini tidak terjadi perubahan berat badan yang bermakna pada kedua kelompok.
Kesimpulan. Konsumsi minyak bekatul 45 ml/hari menyebabkan perbaikan profil lipid yang lebih baik dibandingkan konsumsi minyak bekatul 15 ml.hari.

Background. Adult individuals in Indonesian society showed changes in diet pattern and lack of physical activity that increasing risk for hypercholesterolemia and obesity. Hypercholesterolemia would be treated with nutritional therapy. Rice bran oil contains active substances (gamma-oryzanol, phytosterols, and derivatives of vitamin E (tocotrienols and tocopherols) that work in synergy and have been proven on previous research controlling lipid profil. This study aimed to assess the lipid profile improvement in intake of rice bran oil with different amounts without changing the eating patterns of the subjects.
Methods. It was parallel and randomized clinical trial for 4 weeks in male with 19-55 years of age, total cholesterol level 200-300 mg/dl, and BMI of 20−30 kg/m2. All subjects were recruited consecutively and classified into two groups that received 45 ml/day or 15 ml/day rice bran oil for 4 weeks. The demographic data interviews, physical activity and anthropometric examination were taken before intervention. Food intake were assessed before and after intervention. Laboratory test of lipid profile performed before and after 4 weeks of treatment. Results. A total of 20 subjects consisting of 10 subjects with 45 ml/day rice bran oil and 10 subjects with 15 ml/day had obtained similar characteristics in age, education level, nutritional status, physical activity, smoking, family history of hypercholesterolemia, BMI and lipid profiles. "Menopause adalah proses alami dimana ovarium tidak lagi menghasilkan estrogen. Akibatnya akan mengganggu metabolisme tubuh, salah satunya adalah metabolisme lipid. Pada wanita pascamenopause, akan terjadi peningkatan kadar kolesterol total, LDL, trigliserida, penurunan kadar HDL, dan hsCRP sebagai biomarker inflamasi. Penelitian sebelumnya pada tikus OVX menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak kulit buah delima yang mengandung asam elagat dapat berperan sebagai selective estrogen receptor modulators SERMs.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstak kulit delima dapat memodifikasi metabolisme lipid dan hsCRP pada wanita pascamenopause sehat. Penelitian ini merupakan studi uji klinik dengan desain paralel acak tersamar ganda dengan plasebo sebagai kontrol terhadap 30 wanita pascamenopause sehat. Subyek dirandomisasi untuk mengkonsumsi plasebo n=16 atau kapsul ekstrak kulit buah delima n=14 sebanyak 2.200 mg/hari selama 8 minggu.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sedikit kecenderungan perbaikan nilai kadar kolesterol total p = 0,282 , LDL p = 0,599 , HDL p = 0,441 , Trigliserida p = 0,329 dan hsCRP p = 0,215 dibanding plasebo. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kapsul ekstrak etanol kulit buah delima dapat memperbaiki kadar profil lipid dan hsCRP pada wanita pascamenopause sehat.

Menopause is a natural process in which the ovaries no longer produce estrogen and consequently will interfere with the metabolism of the body. One of the process affected is lipid metabolism. In postmenopausal woman, there is a decrease in HDL levels, elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides and hsCRP as inflammatory biomarkers. Previous study in the rats showed that pomegranate peel extract which contain ellagic acid can act as selective estrogen receptor modulators SERMs.
This study was aim to investigate wether it can modify lipid metabolism and hsCRP in healthy potsmenopausal woman. This is a randomized, double blind, parallel, clinical trial in 30 healthy postmenopausal woman. Subject were randomized to take placebo capsules n 16 or the pomegranate peel extract capsules n 14 2200 mg day equal 50 mg ellagic acid per day for 8 weeks. Pomegranate peel extract is shown to have a good safety profile as shown by hematology parameters and clinical symptoms.
The results showed slight improvement in total cholesterol p 0,282, LDL p 0,599, HDL p 0,441, Triglyserida p 0,329 dan hsCRP p 0,215 compared to placebo. Thus it can be conclude that capsules of pomegranate peel extract can modified lipid metabolism and hsCRP in healthy postmenopausal woman.

"Latar Belakang. Aktivitas fisik yang kurang aktif merupakan salah satu faktor risiko terjadinya dislipidemia. Pegawai perkantoran merupakan pekerjaan dengan aktivitas fisik rendah. Program wellness diketahui dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fisik dan kebugaran kardiorespirasi di tempat kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan program wellness terhadap kepatuhan menjalankan latihan fisik aerobik dan perubahan profil lipid darah pada pegawai pemerintah.
Metode. Desain penelitian ini adalah randomized controlled trial RCT yang dilakukan selama 6 minggu. Sebanyak 30 orang subjek penelitian yang merupakan pegawai pemerintah dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok. Kelompok perlakuan n=15 mendapat program wellness secara intensif sedangkan kelompok kontrol n=15 hanya mendapat edukasi. Dinilai tingkat kepatuhan menjalankan latihan fisik aerobik serta kadar profil lipid antara dua kelompok.
Hasil. Kelompok perlakuan lebih patuh menjalankan latihan fisik aerobik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol OR=42,2, IK95 5,1-346,9 . Terdapat perbedaan rerata kadar kolesterol total sesudah perlakuan yang bermakna antara kelompok perlakuan 181,4 23,1 dan kontrol 183,5 25,3 dengan nilai p=0,011. Tidak ada perbedaan rerata bermakna pada kadar High Density Lipoprotein, Low Density Lipoprotein dan trigliserida sesudah perlakuan antara kedua kelompok.
Simpulan. Program wellness dapat meningkatkan kepatuhan menjalankan latihan fisik aerobik dan menurunkan kadar kolesterol total dalam darah.

Background. Lack of physical activity is a risk factor for dyslipidemia. Office workers are jobs with low physical activity. Wellness programs are known to increase physical activity and cardiorespiratory in the workplace. This study aims to know the effect of a wellness program implementation on the aerobic physical exercise adherence and blood lipid profile change of the government employee.
Methods. This study is randomized controlled trial RCT design that was conducted for 6 weeks. A total of 30 subjects who are government employees is allocated into 2 groups. Intervention group n 15 received intensive wellness program while control group n 15 only get education. Adherence to exercise and lipid profile levels between two groups were compared.
Result. Intervention group was more adherent to do aerobic exercise than control group OR 42,2, CI95 5,1 346,9 . There was a significant mean difference of total cholesterol level after intervention between intervention group 181,4 23,1 and control group 183,5 25,3 with p value 0,011. There were no significant mean difference p 0.05 in High Density Lipoprotein, Low Density Lipoprotein and triglycerides levels after intervention in both group.
Conclusion. Wellness programs can enhance aerobic exercise adherence and decrease blood total cholesterol level.

"ABSTRAK
Modernisasi kota-kota besar di Indonesia terutama Jakarta meningkatkan jumlah
perempuan bekerja dengan pcrubahan terhadap gaya hidup terutama dalam jumlah
dan komposisi asupan makanan. Hal tersebut bila disertai dengan mulai
meourunnya honnon estrogen pada perempuan di awal masa klimakterlum,
dikhawatirkan telah teljadi perubahan profil lipid dan distribusi lemak. Tujuan
pcnalitian ini adalah diketahuinya asupan total energi dan asupan makronutrien
serta profit lipid karyawati di awal rna.- klimakterium yaitu usia 35-45 tahun,
serta hubungannya dengan ukuran lingkar pinggang. Stodi ini adalah studi potong
lingtang yang dilakukan di Poliklinik Departemen Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata RJ.
Sebanyak 66 orang karyawati menandatangani lembar persetujuan menjadi
subyek pcnelitian, dengan 52 orang (78,8%) subyek menyelesaikan studi ini.
Pengumpulan data ditakukan dengan wawancara, pcngukuran antropometri dan
pcaitaian asupan makanan menggunakan merode food record 3x24 jam.
Dilakukan juga pemeriksaan tahoratorium untuk mengukur kadar kolesterol LDL,
HDL dan trigliserida serum. Rerata ulruran lingkar pinggang subyek adalah 84,8 ±
9,42 em dengao sebagian besar subyek (67,3%) tennasuk dalarn kategori lebih.
Rerata asupan total energi subyek penelitian adalah 1571 ± 303,2 kkal, dengan
sebagian besar subyek tennasuk dalarn kategori cukup jika dibandingkan dengan
kebutoba energi total. Rerata asupan makronutrien untuk karbohidrat adalah 213,7
± 40,73 gr (54,7 ± 6,24 o/oE), sera! 11,2 ± 4,52 gr, protein 54,0 ± 13,25 gr (13,7 ±
1,89 %E), lemak 56,0 ± 17,76 gr (31,6 ± 5,62 %E), SAFA 25,8 ± 8,84 gr (14,6 ±
3,44 %E), MUFA 14,1 ± 5,07 gr (8,0 ± 2,02 %E), PUFA 12,3 ± 5,85 gr (6,9 ±
2,84 %E) dan kotesterol 242,2 ± 118,36 mg per hari. Berdesarkan aujuran asupan
oleh PERKENI, asupan kaibohidrat, protein, MUF A dan PUF A sebagian besar
subyek dikategorlkan cukup. Sementara asupan lemak, SAP A dan kotesterol
sebagian besar subyek dikategorikan lebih dan asupan serat kurang. Kadar
kolesterol LDL, HDL dan trigliserida subyek berturut-turut adalah 126,3 ± 29,71
m8fdL, 58,2 ± 9,46 mg/dL dan 84,7 ± 35,81 mg/dL. Kadar ko1esterol LDL dan
trigliserida serum sebagian besar subyek dalam kategori normal. Kader kolesterol
HDL serum seluruh subyek dahun kategori normal. Tidak terdapat hubungan
bermakna antara jumlah asupan energi total dan masing-masing makronutrien
terhadap ukuran lingkar pinggang. Namun terdepat korelasi derajat lemak
antara kadar trigliserida serum dan ukuran lingkar pinggang.

Abstract
Modernization on some major cities in Indonesia specially Jakarta bas raised the
number of working women from year to year, and alter their !!restyle including
their total nutrition intake and macronutrient composition. Accompanied with
decreasing estrogen level in early climacteric women, there was big concern that
there had been alteration on lipid profile and fat distribution among these women.
The aim of the study was to evaluate daily intake of total energy, macronutrients
and lipid profile among healthy female government employee on early
climacteric phase (aged 35-45 years), and their association with waist
circumference. This cross sectional study took place in Cultural and Tourism
Department of Republic Indonesia. Sixty six women have provided consent,
while 52 subjects (78.8%) have completed the study. Data collection were
conducted from interviews, anthropometric measurements and dietary assessment
using 3 x 24 hours food record. Serum triglyceride, LDL, HDL cholesterol level
were assessed as well. Mean value of waist circumference was 84.8 ± 9.42 em,
and categorized as high, as well as on the majority of subjects (67.3 %).Mean
value and standard deviation of to!al energy intake was 1571 ± 303,2 kcal, and
categorized as moderate. The mean intake value of carbohydrate was 213,7 ±
40,73 g (54,7 ± 6,24 %E), fiber 11,2 ± 4.52 gr, protein 54.0 ± 13.25 g (13.7 ± 1.89
%E), fut 56.0 ± 17.76 g (3L6 ± 5.62 %E), SAFA 25.8 ± 8.84 gr (14.6 ± 3.44
%E), MUFA 14.1 ± 5.o7 gr (8.0 ± 2.02 %E), PUFA 12.3 ± 5.85 gr (6.9 ± 2.M
%E) and cholesterol 242.2 ± 118.36 mg!day. Based on PER.KENI
recommendation for macronutrient intake, majority of subject's intake of
carbohydrate, protein, MUFA and PUF A were categorized as moderate, the intake
of daily fat, SAFA and cholesterol were high, and all subject's intake of fiber was
low. Subject's serum LDL and HDL cholesterol level were 126.3 ± 29.71 mg/dL
and 58.2 ± 9.46 mg/dL respectively, while serum triglyceride level was 84.7 ±
35.81 mg!dL. Majority of subject's lipid profile categorized as normal. No
significant associations were found among total energy as well as macronutrients
with waist circumference. Nevertheless, there was weak significant association
between triglyceride serum level and waist circumference."

"Asupan serat pada penyandang DM tipe 2 maupun orang sehat di Indonesia rendah, meskipun berbagai penelitian membuktikan bahwa serat bermanfaat dalam memperbaiki profil lipid. Uji klinis acak menyilang ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan serat makanan terhadap profil lipid penyandang DM tipe 2 usia 20−64 tahun, dengan kadar serum kolesterol total >150 mg/dL, atau kolesterol LDL >100 mg/dL, atau kadar HDL < 45 mg/dL, atau trigliserida >150 mg/dL.
Setiap subyek penelitian menjalani dua macam perlakuan diet selama 3 minggu, dengan wash out selama 1 minggu: diet DM sesuai rekomendasi PERKENI dengan makanan selingan berserat 5,88 g/hari. Dilakukan wawancara karakteristik demografi, pengukuran tinggi dan berat badan, penilaian asupan zat gizi dengan metode food record 3 x 24 jam serta pemeriksaan profil lipid sebelum dan setelah perlakuan.
Rentang usia subyek penelitian 47-61 tahun, sebagian besar subyek adalah perempuan, dan tingkat pendidikan rendah, serta tingkat aktivitas fisik ringan, dengan status gizi obes I sebanyak 66%. Subyek dapat mengonsumsi makanan selingan berserat sebanyak 90% dari anjuran. Makanan selingan berserat dapat ditoleransi dengan baik, tanpa ada keluhan yang berarti. Sebagian besar subyek penelitian tidak dapat mengikuti anjuran diet DM nya, terutama dalam hal asupan protein, lemak, dan serat. Terlihat penurunan yang bermakna pada kadar serum kolesterol total (p=0,03) dan trigliserida (p=0,04) setelah konsumsi makanan selingan berserat.
Kesimpulan: diet DM dengan konsumsi serat sebagai makanan selingan sebesar 5,88 g/hari menurunkan kadar serum kolesterol total dan trigliserida serum dibandingkan dengan diet DM pada penyandang DM tipe 2. Penelitian lanjutan dianjurkan dengan menambah serat dalam makanan selingan.

Dietary fiber intake of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) patients and general Indonesian population were lower than recommendation, despite proven beneficial effect of dietary fiber on serum lipid profile. This randomized cross-over clinical trial aims to investigate the effect of 5,88 g/day fiber snack supplementation for 3 weeks on serum lipid profile among 20−64 years old T2DM patients with either serum concentration cholesterol total >150 mg/dL, cholesterol LDL >100 mg/dL, cholesterol HDL <45 mg/dL, or triglyceride >150 mg/dL.
Every subject underwent two treatments for 3 weeks with 1 week wash out: 5.88 g/day dietary fiber in snack bars integrated in diabetic diet recommended by Indonesian Diabetic Association (PERKENI). Assessments of sociodemographic, body height and weight, dietary intake using food record 3x24 hours method during study period, and lipid profile before and after intervention were performed.
Subjects age ranged 47-61 years, majority was female, low educational level, sedentary physical activity, and 66% obese. Subjects managed to consume 90% of the dietary fiber snack bars, without experiencing any side effects. Majority of subjects could not follow their diabetic dietary regimen, especially consumption of protein, fat and fiber. There were significant decreases total cholesterol (p=0.03) and triglyceride (p=0.04) serum concentrations after consumption of dietary fiber in snack bars.
Conclusion : diabetic diet with 5.88 g/day fiber snack decreases total cholesterol and triglyceride serum concentrations compared to diabetic diet alone in patients with T2DM. Further study to increase the amount of fiber in snack is proposed.

"ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Berdasarkan obervasi di lapangan, banyaknya kendaraan dan emisi yang dihasilkan dari kendaraan bermotor yang melintas di jalan bebas hambatan, dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan terutama adanya gangguan metabolisme profil lipid.

Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan kadar profil lipid terhadap pekerja PT X yang terpajan dan yang tidak terpajan PM2.5 tahun 2014.

Metode: Studi cross sectional yang di lakukan pada area PT X. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Didapatkan sebanyak 45 responden yang terpajan dan 14 responden yang tidak terpajan PM2.5. Peneliti melakukan pengukuran PM2.5 di dalam dan di luar ruangan area kerja PT X selama 7 hari di 5 lokasi dan pengambilan sampel darah para responden pada satu waktu. Uji statistik dilakukan dengan T-Test dan Chi-square.

Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pekerja yang terpajan PM2.5 mempunyai peluang 5,74 kali lebih besar memiliki kadar kolesterol tidak normal dibanding pekerja yang tidak terpajan dan peluang 4,58 kali lebih tinggi untuk memiliki kadar trigliserida tidak normal dari pada yang tidak terpajan. Adanya hubungan antara umur pekerja dan masa kerja dengan kadar trigliserida yang dimilikinya dengan masing-masing p-value 0,0001 dan 0,001.


ABSTRACT
Background: Based on the field observation, the number of vehicles and the emissions resulting from motor vehicles passing on the highway, can cause health problems, especially metabolic disturbances in lipid profile.
Objective: Knowing the differences in the levels of lipid profile of workers who exposed and non-exposed to PM2.5 in 2014.

Method: Cross-sectional study undertaken in the area of PT X. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Obtained by 45 respondents 14 respondents exposed and non-exposed to PM2.5. Researchers conducted PM2.5 measurements inside and outside the work area room PT X for 7 days at 5 locations and sampling blood of the respondents collected at one time. Statistical test performed by T-test and Chi-square.

Result: The results of this study indicate that workers who exposed to PM2.5 had a 5.74 times greater chance of having abnormal cholesterol levels than non-exposed workers and 4.58 times higher odds of having abnormal triglyceride levels than those not exposed. There is relationship between the worker's age and years of service with its triglyceride levels with respective p-values of 0.0001 and 0.001.

Conclusion: There are difference in the proportion of cholesterol levels among workers exposed to PM2.5 non-exposed workers.

"Latar Belakang: Sudah diketahui bahwa peningkatan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) merupakan indikator peningkatan profil lipid. Dengan adanya penelitian terbaru dari Ashwell yang menyatakannya bahwa Rasio lingkar perut tinggi badan (RLP-TB) lebih sensitif terhadap kasus dislipidemia dari pada indeks massa tubuh. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin mengetahui korelasi rasio lingkar perut tinggi badan dan indeks massa tubuh terhadap profil lipid pada pekerja di PT.E yang bergerak di Industri Migas.
Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan studi korelasi, menggunakan data sekunder hasil medical check-up pekerja tahun 2013 dan 2014. Berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi didapatkan data sebanyak 130 orang untuk tahun 2013 dan 69 orang untuk tahun 2014.
Hasil Penelitian: Dari total 199 subyek, didapatkan RLP-TB (r: 0.186 dan r: 0.334) memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi yang relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan IMT (r: 0.180 dan r: 0.319) pada parameter metabolik kolesterol dan trigliserid, namun pada HDL, IMT memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi lebih baik (r: -0.328) daripada Rasio Lingkar Perut dan Tinggi Badan (r: -0.291). Namun perbedaan koefisien korelasi tersebut relatif tidak besar sehingga dapat dikatakan Rasio Lingkar Perut-Tinggi Badan tidak lebih baik sebagai prediktor profil lipid dibandingkan dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh.

Background: It is already known that increasing Body Mass Index is an indicator of increasing lipid profile. The latest research from Ashwell has revealed that the Waist circumference – height ratio is more sensitive than body mass index on dyslipidemia. Therefore, the researchers wanted to determine the correlation of Waist circumference – height ratio and body mass index to lipid profile on PT. E workers who running the business in oil and gas.
Methodology: This is a correlation study used secondary data from employee medical check-up data on years 2013 and 2014. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, obtain a 130 subject for year 2013 and 69 subject for year 2013.
Research result: From the 199 subject, obtain a Waist circumference – height ratio (r: 0.186 and r: 0.334) has relative high correlation coefficient to cholesterol and triglyceride compared by Body mass index (r: 0.180 and r: 0.319), but body mass index has good correlation coefficient (r:-0.328) with HDL rather than Waist circumference – height ratio (r: -0.291). But, the differentiation of correlation coefficient between Body Mass Index and Waist Circumference-Height ration is not significant. The conclusion is Waist Circumference-Height Ratio is not better than Body Mass Index as a profile lipid predictor

"Dadap Duri atau Erythrina subumbrans adalah salah satu tanaman yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Sumatera Barat dalam pengobatan diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol 70% daun Dadap Duri terhadap profil lipid tikus yang diinduksi pakan tinggi lemak dan streptozotocin dosis rendah. Pada penelitian ini, sebanyak 24 ekor tikus jantan galur Wistar dikelompokkan menjadi enam kelompok (n=4). Satu kelompok normal tidak berikan perlakuan sedangkan lima kelompok lainnya (negatif, metformin, dan tiga kelompok variasi dosis ekstrak etanol daun Dadap Duri) diinduksi dengan pakan tinggi lemak dan streptozotocin dosis rendah. Kelompok negatif diberikan 0,5% CMC, kelompok positif diberikan metformin dosis 90 mg/200 gBB secara per oral, dan tiga kelompok variasi ekstrak etanol 70% daun dadap duri dosis 50 mg/200 gBB, 100 mg/200 gBB, dan 200 mg/200 gBB secara peroral. Tikus diinduksi oleh pakan tinggi lemak dengan komposisi pakan standar : tallow : sukrosa : mentega (50:20:20:10) selama 28 hari lalu diinjeksikan streptozotocin dosis 40 mg/kgBB dan nikotinamid 110 mg/kgBB secara i.p. Titik pengambilan sampel untuk pengujian profil lipid yakni sebelum diberikan pakan tinggi lemak, setelah diberikan pakan tinggi lemak, setelah diinduksi streptozotocin, dan setelah diberikan ekstrak. Dosis III EEDD serupa dengan metformin dalam mempengaruhi profil lipid (p>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, EEDD memiliki pengaruh terhadap profil lipid hewan model.

Dadap Duri or Erythrina subumbrans is one of the plants used by the people in West Sumatera for Diabetes Mellitus treatment. This study aimed to determine the effect of 70% ethanol extract of Dadap Duri leaves on the lipid profile of rats induced by a highfat diet, streptozotocin, and nicotinamide. In this study, 24 male Wistar rats were grouped into six groups (n=4). One group as normal group was not treated, while the other five groups (negative, metformin, and three groups of varying doses of EEDD) were induced with a high-fat diet, streptozotocin, and nicotinamide. The negative group was given 0.5% CMC, the positive group was given metformin at a dose of 90 mg/200 gBW orally, and three groups of variations of 70% ethanol extract of Dadap Duri leaves doses of 50 mg/200 gBW, 100 mg/200 gBW, and 200 mg/200 gBW respectively. A high-fat-diet-induced rat with standard feed composition: tallow: sucrose: butter (50:20:20:10) for 28 days and then injected with streptozotocin at 40 mg/kg BW and nicotinamide 110 mg/kgBW by i.p. The sampling points for testing the lipid profile as follow before being given a high-fat diet, after being given a high-fat diet, after being induced by STZ+NA, and being given the extract. Dose III EEDD is similar to metformin in influencing the lipid profile. Based on these results, EEDD affects the lipid profile of animal models."

"Sirosis hati SH merupakan tahap akhir dari penyakit hari kronik yang ditandai dengan fibrosis hati dan mikro maupun makronodul. Penyakit hati kronik mempengaruhi metabolisme lipid sehinga menggangu profil lipid pasien. Adanya kerusakan hati dideteksi dengan penilaian fungsi hati di mana salah satu penilainnya adalah analisis kadar albumin serum. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar profil lipid dan apakah terdapat korelasi antara profil lipid dengan fungsi hati albumin pada pasien SH.
Penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional pada 73 penderita SH 56 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan didapatkan dari rekam medis Laboratorium Patologi Klinik RSCM. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan uji Kolmogorov Smirnov menunjukkan kadar kolesterol total, kolesterol HDL, kolesterol LDL, dan trigliserida rata-rata 158.07, 39.05, 94.07, dan median 92 dan dengan uji Pearson menunjukkan korelasi antara kolesterol total, kolesterol HDL, kolesterol LDL dan albumin semua.

Cirrhosis is an end stage of chronic inflammatory liver disease with fibrosis and micro or macro nodule. Chronic liver disease affects lipid metabolism and disrupts patient rsquo s lipid profile. Cirrhosis can be detected by assessing liver function, one of which is analyzing serum albumin. The aim is to study the lipid profile in patients with cirrhosis and to determine the correlation between serum lipid profile and serum albumin in patients with cirrhosis.
Design of the study is cross sectional, 73 patients with cirrhosis 56 men and 17 women were obtained from the medical records of the Laboratory Clinical Pathology RSCM. The results of the study were analyzed with Kolmogorov Smirnov test showed serum total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride mean of 158.07, 39.05, 94.07 and median of 92 , Pearson test showed a correlation between total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and albumin all.
