Melalui penulisan tesis ini pada dasarnya penulis mencoba menemukan pnnsip-prinsip yang mendasari adanya kebutuhan akan hak-hak azasi manusia. Bagaimana keterkaitan antara konsep gambaran manusia dengan tuntutan-tuntutan atau hak-hak azasi itu? Dan bagaimana menempatkan hak azasi manusia di dalam konteks yang sesuai? Jawaban terhadap masalah itulah yang hendak dikemukakan lewat tesis ini.
