"Bayi prematur sulit untuk mencapai kemampuan minum akibat imaturitas sistem pencernaannya. Kondisi ini menyebabkan perawatan yang lebih lama di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas gabungan stimulasi oromotor dan pemberian nonnutritive sucking terhadap kecepatan minum bayi mencapai fullfeed, peningkatan volume minum, peningkatan berat badan, dan kesiapan minum bayi prematur. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah randomized control trial dengan desain paralel yang melibatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 52 bayi prematur. Responden yang mendapatkan stimulasi oromotor dan pemberian nonnutritive sucking sebanyak 26 bayi prematur (kelompok intevensi) dan yang mendapatkan perawatan rutin RS sebanyak 26 bayi prematur (kelompok kontrol). Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi rerata kecepatan minum bayi mencapai fullfeed pada kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (10,04, 9,73, p<0,001), Peningkatan berat badan yang signifikan pada kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (2,392,2,204,p< 0,001), dan terdapat rerata peningkatan volume minum pada kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (33,65, 29,9, p<0,001). Intervensi stimulasi oromotor dan pemberian nonnutritive sucking dapat menjadi alterrnatif tindakan perawat untuk mengatasi masalah kesulitan minum pada bayi prematur.

Premature babies find it difficult to achieve the ability to drink due to the immaturity of their digestive system. This condition leads to a longer stay in the hospital. This study aims to determine the combined effectiveness of oromotor stimulation and non-nutritive sucking on the speed of feeding babies to reach full feed, increasing drinking volume, increasing body weight and readiness to drink premature babies. The design of this study was a randomized control trial with a parallel design involving a sample of 52 premature infants. Respondents who received oromotor stimulation and nonnutritive sucking were 26 premature babies (intervention group) and 26 premature babies who received routine hospital care (control group). The results of the study identified that there was an increase in the speed of infant feeding reaching full feed in the intervention and control groups (10.04, 9.73, p<0.001), weight gain in the intervention and control groups (2,392.2,204, p<0.001), there was an increase in volume drinking in the intervention and control groups (33.65, 29.9, p<0.001). and an increase in drinking readiness after the intervention in the intervention and control groups showed an increase (10.04% ,9.73%). Oromotor stimulation and the provision of nonnutritive sucking can be an alternative action for nurses to overcome the problem of drinking difficulties in premature infants."

"Latar belakang: Keterampilan minum oral merupakan proses yang kompleks dalam perawatan bayi prematur di ruang perawatan intensif neonatus. Peningkatan keterampilan minum oral melibatkan peran serta ibu melalui pembentukan dyadic interaction untuk mengoptimalkan nutrisi bayi prematur Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh Model Intervensi Keperawatan Berfokus Nutrisi terhadap keterampilan minum oral, grafik pertumbuhan bayi prematur, dyadic interaction, dan pengetahuan ibu. Metode: Penelitian mixed methods dengan pendekatan sekuensial eksploratori. Tahap I merupakan studi deskriptif kualitatif eksploratif pada 12 perawat neonatus. Tahap II adalah penyusunan model melalui analisis dan sintesis hasil penelitian tahap I dengan melibatkan tiga pakar. Tahap III adalah validasi model melalui penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Hasil: Teridentifikasi tujuh tema pada penelitian tahap I, yang selanjutnya dijadikan dasar menyusun tiga konsep model pada penelitian tahap II. Tiga konsep model tersebut meliputi: (1) Menciptakan lingkungan terapeutik untuk stimulasi keterampilan minum oral; (2) Membentuk interaksi ibu dengan bayi prematur untuk mengoptimalkan pemberian nutrisi; dan (3) Melibatkan peran serta ibu dan keluarga dalam persiapan perawatan bayi prematur dengan ketidakmampuan minum oral di rumah. Perangkat model yang dihasilkan adalah modul, buku kerja, dan selebaran. Analisis GLM Repeated Measure menunjukkan perbedaan keterampilan minum oral (p value < 0,001), berat badan (p value 0,64), panjang badan (p value 0,72), lingkar kepala (p value 0,28), dyadic interaction (p value < 0,001), pengetahuan ibu (p value < 0,001). Simpulan: Model Intervensi Keperawatan Berfokus Nutrisi efektif meningkatkan keterampilan minum oral, dyadic interaction, pengetahuan ibu, namun belum bermakna terhadap grafik pertumbuhan. Saran: Model Intervensi Keperawatan Berfokus Nutrisi dapat diimplementasikan di ruang perawatan intensif neonatus.

Background: Oral feeding skills are a complex process in the care of premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. Improving oral feeding skills involves maternal participation through the formation of dyadic interaction to optimize optimize premature infant nutrition. Objective: The study aimed to analyse the impact of the Nutrition-Focused Nursing Intervention Model on oral feeding skills, growth charts of premature infants, dyadic interaction, and maternal knowledge. Method: This mixed-methods study used a sequential exploratory approach. Stage I was an exploratory descriptive qualitative study involving 12 neonatal nurses. Stage II involved developing a model through analysis and synthesis of the results from Stage I, with input from three experts. Stage III was a model validation through quasi-experimental research. Result: Seven themes were identified in Stage I, which became the basis for developing three model concepts in Stage II. The three model concepts included: (1) Creating a therapeutic environment for stimulating oral feeding skills; (2) Forming interactions between mothers and premature infants to optimize the nutrition; and (3) Involving mothers and families in preparing for the care of premature infants with oral feeding disabilities at home. The resulting model tools included a module, workbook, and leaflet. GLM Repeated Measures analysis showed differences in oral feeding skills (p-value < 0.001), body weight (p-value 0.64), body length (p-value 0.72), head circumference (p-value 0.28), dyadic interaction (p-value < 0.001), and maternal knowledge (p-value < 0.001). Conclusion: The Nutrition-Focused Nursing Intervention Model effectively improved oral feeding skills, dyadic interaction, and maternal knowledge, but did not significantly affect growth charts. Suggestion: The Nutrition-Focused Nursing Intervention Model can be implemented in neonatal intensive care units."

"Kelahiran prematur atau bayi yang lahir sebelum usia kehamilan 37 minggu merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap morbiditas dan mortalitas bayi. Bayi prematur yang lahir kurang dari usia kehamilan 34 minggu memiliki pola menghisap-menelan-bernafas yang tidak terkoordinasi dengan sempurna. Koordinasi dan keterampilan menghisap merupakan faktor penting dalam mencapai pemberian oral yang aman dan sukses pada bayi prematur. Intervensi stimulasi oral dapat diterapkan untuk mendukung perkembangan refleks menghisap dan menelan serta mengurangi lama waktu transisi dari pemberian minum melalui enteral ke oral. Karya ilmiah ini memberikan gambaran mengenai proses asuhan keperawatan pada bayi prematur dan efektifitas penerapan Oromotor Stimulation (OMS) selama 8 hari perawatan. Pemberian stimulasi dilakukan 15-30 menit sebelum pemberian minum dengan durasi selama 15 menit. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan Oromotor Stimulation (OMS) efektif dalam meningkatkan berat badan dan kesiapan minum secara oral. Setelah diberikan intervensi, berat badan bayi meningkat dengan rata-rata kenaikan 24,2 gram/hari. Hasil evaluasi objektif menggunakan instrumen Premature Oral Feeding Readiness Assessment Scale (POFRAS) menunjukkan peningkatan skor dari 23 menjadi 34 yang berarti bayi memiliki kesiapan minum per- oral yang baik.

Premature birth or infants born before 37 weeks of gestation is a global health problem that has a high risk of infant morbidity and mortality. Premature infants born less than 34 weeks of gestation have a pattern of sucking-swallowing-breathing that is not perfectly coordinated. Coordination and sucking skills are important factors in achieving safe and successful oral administration of preterm infants. Oral stimulation interventions can be used to support the development of sucking and swallowing reflexes and to reduce the transition time from enteral to oral feeding. This scientific work provides an overview of the process of nursing care for premature infants and the effectiveness of Oromotor Stimulation (OMS) for 8 days. Stimulation is given 15-30 minutes before feeding with a duration of 15 minutes. Evaluation results show that Oromotor Stimulation (OMS) is effective in increasing body weight and readiness to oral feeding. After being given the intervention, the baby's weight increased with an average increase of 24.2 grams/day. The results of an objective evaluation using the Premature Oral Feeding Readiness Assessment Scale (POFRAS) instrument showed an increase in score from 23 to 34 which means that the infant has good oral feeding readiness.
