ABSTRAK
Biodiesel dan biobutanol merupakan contoh sumber energi alternatif pengganti bahan bakar cair yang bersifat karbon netral dan mempunyai beberapa keunggulan dari segi lingkungan apabila dibandingkan dengan bahan bakar fosil. Biodiesel dapat diperoleh dari tanaman, dan juga mikroalga melalui proses ekstraksi. Sedangkan biobutanol dapat diperoleh melalui proses fermentasi. Research on the oil contents of microalgae i.e. Botryococcus braunii, Nannochloropsisand Spirulina platensisof different cultivation time have been done at Research Center for Marine and Fishery Product Processing and Biotechnology(RCMFPPB) Laboratory, Slipi, Jakarta. Air asam tambang (AAT) merupakan salah satu dampak negatif dari kegiatan
pertambangan yang dapat menyebabkan masalah lingkungan dan memerlukan
penanganan yang efisien dan efektif. Pemanfaatan mikroalga dalam remediasi atau
fikoremediasi merupakan sebuah alternatif pengolahan AAT, namun memiliki
keterbatasan aplikasi. Kendala pada aplikasi fikoremediasi AAT adalah karateristik dari
