"Praktik residensi merupakan pendidikan profesi untuk membentuk perawat spesialis. Kompetensi yang harus dicapai oleh seorang mahasiswa dalam praktik residensi medikal bedah adalah manajemen kasus dengan menggunakan teori keperawatan, penerapan praktik berdasarkan bukti dan proyek inovasi, Asuhan keperawatan dalam konteks neurosains menggunakan model adaptasi Roy, yang terdiri dari 1 kasus kelolaan utama dan 30 kasus resume. Dalam penerapan praktik berdasarkan bukti digunakan format BJH-SDS untuk skrining disfagia pada pasien stroke. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa BJH-SDS dapat menilai disfagia pada pasien stroke. Proyek inovasi yang diterapkan adalah Pengembangan Media Edukasi perawatan Brain Tumor Craniotomy. Hasil penerapan media edukasi ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan pasien tentang persiapan pre operasi dan post operasi meningkat dengan signifikan setelah pemberian edukasi.

Practice residency is a professional education to form specialist nurses. Competency that must be achieved by a student in medical practice residency is case management using nursing theory, application of evidence-based practices and innovation projects, nursing care in the context of neuroscience using Roy's adaptation model, which consists of 1 main case and 30 cases of resumes. In the application of evidence-based practice, the BJH-SDS format is used for screening dysphagia in stroke patients.

The results show that BJH-SDS can assess dysphagia in stroke patients. The innovation project implemented is the Development of Brain Tumor Craniotomy Education Media Care. The results of the application of this educational media show that the knowledge of patients about preoperative and postoperative preparation increased significantly after the provision of education."

"Peran perawat spesialis diperlukan untuk peningkatan kualitas pelayanan asuhan keperawatan yang kompleks dan akurat sebagai pemberi asuhan keperawatan tingkat lanjut kasus neurosain, pendidik, advokat, serta agen pembaharu melalui penerapan evidence based nursing (EBN) dan proyek inovasi. Asuhan keperawatan tingkat lanjut menggunakan teori Adaptasi Roy yaitu pengelolaan pasien meningitis tuberkulosis sebagai kasus utama dan 30 resume gangguan sistem neurologi. Teori Roy banyak bertujuan meningkatkan perilaku adaptif dan mengubah perilaku inefektif. Diagnosis keperawatan yang paling banyak ditemukan pada pasien gangguan sistem neurologi adalah ketidakefektifan perfusi jaringan serebral dan hambatan mobilitas fisik. Penerapan EBN dilakukan pada pasien stroke yang mengalami disfagia. Pasien diberikan latihan menelan shaker exercise hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan menelan dan tidak terjadi aspirasi. Proyek inovasi kelompok menerapkan Pengembangan Media Edukasi Perawatan Pasien Brain Tumor Craniotomy. Penerapan proyek inovasi meningkatkan pengetahuan pasien, keterampilan pasien latihan napas dalam dan mobilisasi setelah operasi, dan menambah kepercayaan diri perawat saat memberikan edukasi. Pengalaman praktik residensi diharapkan menambah kompetensi dan peran perawat spesialis di lahan klinik.

The application of innovation projects increases patient knowledge, the skills of patients in deep breathing exercises and mobilization after surgery, and increases nurse confidence when providing education. The residency practice experience is expected to increase the competency and role of specialist nurses on the clinic grounds."
