"Skripsi ini membahas bagaimana sikap bahasa pelajar SN/IA di Depok, Jawa Barat. terhadap teen/it Indonesia yang menggunakan judul Berbahasa Inggris. Sebelum simpulan terhadap topik dipaparkan, tcrlebih dahulu dibahas mengenai latar belakang yang berkaitan Brat mempengaruhi sikap bahasa para pelajar tcrsebut dibahas. Metode yang digunakan pada penyusunan penelitian ini adalah mctode penelitian lapangan langsung sederhana dengan cara menycbarkan angket kepada S6 pelajar SMA di Depok sebagai data primer yang kemudian diolah dan dikaitkan dengan teori-teori yang berkaitan. Responden pada penclitian ini dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu ,.kelompok dengan latar belakang pendidikan berbasis standar intlernasional dan kelompok dengan latar belakang pendidikan bet-basis standar nasional. Pernilihan dua macam kelompok responden ini bertujuan untuk mclihat apakah ada perbedaan hasil yang didapatkan pada kcdua kelompok tcrsebut. Sikap bahasa yang didapatkan dari para responden merupakan sebuah hasil dari pengalaman dan proses pembelajaran yang kemudian membentuk sebuah sikap terhadap suatu bahasa, dalam hat mi bahasa Inggris. Untuk mendapatkan hasil penelitian yang diharapkan, latar belakang responden dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris banyak ditanyakan melalui angkct yang mereka isi dan dijabarkan pada skripsi ini sebagai dasar perolehan sikap bahasa mereka. I.atar belakang ini kemudian dikaitkan terhadap topik yang disampaikan sebagai salah satu contoh kasus bagaimana bentuk sikap bahasa para responden. Sebagai hasil akhir penelitian ini diperolch kecendenmgan responden untuk memilih teen/it Indonesia dcngan judul bcrbahasa Inggris dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan judul Berbahasa Indonesia.

This research shows on how language attitudes of SMA's student in Uepok. West Java, are toward Indonesian teenlit which uses the English titles. Prior to the conclusion, the respondent's background that influence the student's language attitudes will be depicted and then analyzed. The method used in this research is the field study by giving the questionnaire to 86 SMA students in L)epok as the primary data source to he analyzed and then connected to the relevant theories. the respondents in this research arc divided into two groups: the group with the international education standard background and the one with national education standard background. The purpose to choose these two groups is to know whether there is any different result. The language attitudes of the respondents are the result of experiences and learning process'. In order to get the expected result, the respondents' backgrounds in the process of learning English are frequently asked in the questionnaire. The respondents' background is then connected to the topic as the case study on how the language attitudes arc shown. As a result of this research, there arc more respondents who prefer to choose Indonesian teenlit with English titles than the ones with use the Indonesian titles."

"Pesan herantai merupakan sejenis pesan yang menginstruksikan pembacanya untuk menyalin dan menyebarkan isi pcsan kepada orang lain. Sejak ditemukannya tcknologi pesan singkat (SMS) dan surat clektronik (E-mail), kepopuleran pesan berantai semakin meningkat. Tidak sedikit pembaca pcsan bcrantai yang terbujuk untuk melakukan tindak penerusan pesan, k valaupun isi pcsan herantai yang diterima tersebut tidak berguna atau tidak masuk akal sekalipun. Penelitian ini membahas tenting strategi-strategi yang ditarapkan dalam berbagai pesan berantat dalam membujuk pembaca pesan untuk meneruskan pesan tersehut kepada orang lain dan persamaan-persamaan yang terdapat dalam setiap pcsan herantai. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap lima contoh pcsan herantai vang berhedalcngan menggunakan metode analisis 1vacana kritis dan analisis genre. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penerapan bcrbagai macam strategi persuasi di dalam suatu pesan herantai dan adanya persamaan_persamaan dalam fungsi bagian-bagian teks pesan-pesan berantai yang berbeda. Hasil penclitian tersebut diharapkan dapat mcmbantu meningkatkan sikap kritis masyarakat dalam menghadapi pcsan-pesan bcrantai sebelum memutuskan untuk melakukan penerusan pcsan tersebut.

Chain message is a message that contains a request/ instruction towards the reader to copy and circulate the message. The invention of E-mail and cellular phone's short message service gives rise to the popularity of such messages among the people of 21'' century. Surprisingly, although some messages contain useless or irrational information, many people keep forwarding every chain message they have received toward their friends, relatives, or even total strangers.

This research focuses on what kind of strategies applied in the chain messages that can persuade people to do the instruction to forward the messages and whether there is any similarity between different kinds of chain messages. The research analyzed live samples from different kind, of chain message by using the method of critical discourse anztysis and genre analysis.

The result of the research indicates that there is a tendency to combine different kinds of persuasion strategies in each single chain message and there are some similarities in the function of each part of the text among different chain messages. By acknowledging the different kinds of persuasion strategies applied in chain messages and the functions of each part of the messages, it can help to improve the critical minds of the society in facing chain messages before deciding whether it is necessary to forward the messages."

"This thesis aims to portray students' attitude toward bahasa Indonesia and English. In addition it tries to find out their motivation in studying those two subjects. Therefore, some hypotheses were proposed. The objects of this research were senior high school students in Bandarlampung. 109 students were taken to be the samples. The data were collected through questionnaires which consist of 56 questions of attitude aspect and 43 questions for motivation aspect. Likert scale was used to measure those two aspects. The data collected were then analyzed by using product moment to see the correlation between attitude and motivation with student's achievement. Simple regression was applied to seek the influence of attitude and motivation toward bahasa Indonesia and English subjects. To sum tip toward bahasa Indonesia students have favourable feeling as well as toward English. I lowever, they have low motivation of learning toward those two languages.
