"Sebagai sebuah jenis sepatu, sneakers tidak hanya menonjolkan aspek fungsional, sneakers memiliki penjelasan kultural tentang hubungan antar pengguna dan sepatu itu sendiri. Tulisan ini fokus pada proses anggota Indo Sneaker Team memperoleh pengetahuan tentang keaslian sneakers. Pada kerangka situated learning dijelaskan bahwa anggota melakukan tatap muka langsung dengan community of practice untuk melakukan pembelajaran dalam konteks yang sesuai. Legitimate Peripheral Participation dalam komunitas tersebut sangat menentukan pengetahuan yang dimiliki anggota kelompok tentang asli atau tidaknya sebuah sneakers. Latar belakang budaya individu membentuk skema-skema pengetahuan yang kemudian menjadi daya motivasi belajar mengidentifikasi keaslian sepatu sneakers, di dalamnya terdapat proses trial and error dan Parallel Distributed Processing. Pendekatan connectionism dimanfaatkan untuk melengkapi pendekatan kognitif melebihi dari deskripsi mengenai apa yang diketahui sekelompok orang, tetapi juga menambahkan proses pembentukan pengetahuan dengan bagaimana keinginan tersebut terbentuk. Etnografi membantu saya dalam mendapatkan data pengetahuan tentang keaslian sneakers dan motivasi belajar mengidentifikasikan sneakers asli.

As a type of shoes, sneakers not only emphasize the functional aspects, sneakers have a cultural explanation of the relationship between the user and the shoes itself. This paper focuses on the process of how the Indo Sneaker Team members gaining knowledge about the authenticity of sneakers. In situated learning frame, it is explained that members engage in face to face contact within the community of practice to do learning in a suitable context. Legitimate Peripheral Participation in the community will determine the group members' knowledge about whether or not a pair of sneakers is genuine. The Individuals cultural background shape the knowledge schemes which later become the motivating power of learning to identify the authenticity of sneakers, in which there is a trial and error process and Parallel Distributed Processing. The connectionism approach, used to complement the cognitive approach, exceeds the description of what a group of people knows, but also adds to the process of forming knowledge with how the desire is formed. Ethnography assisted me in obtaining knowledge data about the authenticity of sneakers and the motivation to learn to identify authentic sneakers."

"Sebagai institusi pendidikan berbasis agama di Indonesia, proses belajar di dalam pondok pesantren tidak hanya terjadi secara satu arah namun didalamnya juga terdapat keterlibatan para santri secara aktif. Tulisan ini berfokus pada proses pemaknaan dan pembentukan reflexive identity para santri PPTQ Al-Hakmiah sebagai bentuk dari proses belajar untuk menjadi seorang santri. Dalam konteks ini pendekatan connectionsim penulis gunakan untuk menjelaskan proses pemaknaan dari definisi santri yang khas oleh setiap santri yang didasari oleh keberagaman latar belakang sosial budaya. Proses belajar yang terjadi di dalam pondok pesantren merupakan apa yang disebut sebagai legitimate peripheral participation dimana hal ini sangat menentukan cara mencapai tujuan belajar yang bervariasi, porses belajar ini tentu saja tidak luput dari trial and error dengan adanya kecenderungan centripetal dan centrifugal yang memotivasi santri untuk terus melakukan proses pembelajaran di dalam pondok pesantren. Dengan mewawancarai santri yang belum memiliki pengalaman belajar di pondok pesantren, penelitian ini mencari tahu bagaimana mereka menghadapi perbedaan kebudayaan untuk mencapai tujuan belajar yang telah mereka maknai.

As a religion-based educational institution in Indonesia, the learning process in Islamic boarding schools does not only occur in one direction but also includes the active involvement of santri. This paper focuses on the process of interpreting and forming the reflexive identity of the PPTQ Al-Hakmiah students as a form of the learning process to become a santri. In this context, the writer uses the connectionsim approach to explain the process of meaning from the typical santri definition by each santri based on the diversity of socio-cultural backgrounds. The learning process that occurs in Islamic boarding schools is what is referred to as legitimate peripheral participation where this greatly determines how to achieve varied learning goals, this learning process of course does not escape trial and error with the existence of centripetal and centrifugal tendencies that motivate students to continue carry out the learning process in Islamic boarding schools. By interviewing students who do not have experience studying in Islamic boarding schools, this study seeks to find out how they deal with cultural differences to achieve the learning goals they have defined."
