Melalui uraian aspek naratif film serta dengan teori efektivitas komunikasi dari Joseph DeVito, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa komunikasi yang terjalin antara imigran Aljazair dan warga Kanada dalam film adalah suatu komunikasi yang tidak efektif.
