"[ABSTRAKTugas Karya Akhir ini membahas mengenai kebijakan Mandatory Sentencing Law yang diberlakukan di Northern Territory, Australia dengan memberikan hukuman wajib atau hukuman minimal bagi pelaku tindak kejahatan properti dengan melihatdampaknya terhadap masyarakat Aborigin. Melalui model penelitian kualitatif,penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari sebuah kebijakan terhadapkelompok minoritas di Australia. Teori kebijakan publik oleh James E. Andersondigunakan untuk menjelaskan dampak kebijakan publik terhadap kelompokminoritas.

"Penelitian tentang kejahatan, baik kejahatan properti maupun kejahatan dengan kekerasan, yang telah banyak dilakukan tidak mendapatkan kesimpulan yang pasti mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Tulisan ini mencoba memberikan kontribusi terhadap literatur kejahatan properti dengan membangun model empiris dari variabel sosial-ekonomi, demografi, dan variabel pencegah kejahatan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejahatan properti. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel dari 26 kabupaten/kota di Propinsi Jawa Barat tahun 2011-2015. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa variabel harapan lama sekolah, pengangguran, kepadatan penduduk, dan linmas berpengaruh terhadap kejahatan properti di Propinsi Jawa Barat.

Research on crime, both property and violent crimes, has by no means reached a definitive conclusion on which factors are related to crime rates. This paper attempts to contribute to the property crime literature by building an empirical model of socioeconomic variables, demographics, and deterrence variables by using regression analysis to determine factors affecting property crime. This research uses panel data from 26 regencies cities in West Java Province for the years 2011 2015. The results show that the variables of expected years school, unemployment, density, and society trooper affecting on property crime in West Java."
