"Dewasa ini perkembangan globalisasi sudah tidak lagi terbatas ruang dan waktu. Salah satu dampak dari globalisasi adalah kecenderungan terhadap sikap etnosentrisme konsumen. Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara Jenis Kelamin, Socioeconomic Status, dan Internet Usage dengan Consumer Ethnocentrism. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang cukup di antara Consumer Ethnocentrism dengan Jenis kelamin dan Internet Usage, namun tidak terdapat hubungan dengan Socioeconomic Status.
Today the development of globalization is no longer limited to space and time. One of the effects of globalization is the tendency towards consumer ethnocentrism. This quantitative research aims to analyze the relationship between Gender, Socioeconomic Status, and Internet Usage with Consumer Ethnocentrism. The results showed that there was a sufficient relationship between Consumer Ethnocentrism with Gender and Internet Usage, but there was no relationship with Socioeconomic Status."

ABSTRAKInternet telah berperan dalam transformasi penyebaran informasi serta barang dan jasa serta memegang peran penting sebesar 21 dalam pertumbuhan Produk Domestik Bruto PDB dalam waktu lima tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami pengaruh jangka panjang spenggunaan internet dan pertumbuhan ekonomi serta karakteristik pertumbuhan ekonomi masing-masing negara anggota ASEAN-5 di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan data time series dalam jangka waktu 25 tahun 1990-2015 dengan variabel kontrol lain dalam pertumbuhan endogen seperti keterbukaan perdagangan dan perkembangan finansial. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah adanya hubungan jangka panjang antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dengan jumlah pengguna internet. Pertumbuhan ekonomi Filipina, Thailand, dan Singapura memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan jumlah pengguna internet, sedangkan Indonesia dan Malaysia memiliki hubungan yang negatif dengan jumlah pengguna internet.
ABSTRAKThe Internet has been an important instrumental for Gross Domestic Development GDP for about 21 in the last five years. This research deeply understands the long term development of Internet usage and economic growth and economic growth strategy of each ASEAN 5 member country in the digital era. This study uses time series data within 25 years 1990 2015 with other control variables as endogenous growth indicators such as trade openness and financial development. The result obtained is a long term relationship between economic growth with the number of internet users in all of ASEAN 5 countries. The economic growth of the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore has a positive relationship with the number of internet users, while Indonesia and Malaysia economic growth have a negative relationship with the number of Internet users. "

ABSTRACTAs students of distance education institutions, the interest of Universitas Terbuka's students in following the online tutorials showed an increasing number from year to year. However, the number of students who actively following the online tutorial apparently not as big as the number of students who activated the tutorial. This showed that there were certain factors that caused students did not participate actively. A quantitative approach was used to explain the effect of online tutorial service quality on students' satisfaction and loyalty. Data collected through an online survey to all participants in the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) which selected using accidental sampling technique. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by using the regression analysis and the univariate analysis. These analyses showed that the SERVQUAL model could be used to measure the learning services quality from multidimensional. Learning support services via the Internet (online tutorial) provided by UT stated in the good and satisfactory category. However, there were aspects of learning support services that still needed to be fixed by Universitas Terbuka, especially the accuracy of tutorial services provided by tutors, the speed of time to respond, giving feedback, and answering student questions."

"[Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara keterampilan komunikasi nonverbal dan jenis kelamin pada remaja pengguna internet. Pengukuran keterampilan komunikasi nonverbal yang digunakan adalah skala Social Skills Inventory milik Riggio yang telah diadaptasi oleh peneliti. Partisipan berjumlah 222 orang remaja, yang terdiri dari 104 laki-laki (46,8 %) dan 118 perempuan (53,2%) berusia 12 – 24 tahun. Melalui perhitungan statistik dengan perbandingan rata-rata (Independent Sample T-Test) diperoleh hasil, yaitu tidak terdapat perbedaan antara keterampilan komunikasi nonverbal dan jenis kelamin pada remaja pengguna internet. Selain itu, dilakukan penelitian lanjutan tentang hubungan setiap Domain Keterampilan Komunikasi Nonverbal dan Jenis Kelamin. Melalui perhitungan statistik ditemukan terdapat perbedaan antara domain Emotional Expresiveness dengan jenis kelamin. Sedangkan, untuk domain Emotional Sensitivity dan domain Emotional Control tidak menunjukkan perbedaan dengan jenis kelamin. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa jenis kelamin hanya berbeda dengan domain Emotional Expresiveness, yaitu keterampilan dalam mengirimkan (encoding) pesan nonverbal.

Measurement of nonverbal communication skills used are scale-owned Riggio Social Skills Inventory that has been adapted by researchers. The number of participants 222 teenagers, consisting of 104 men (46.8%) and 118 women (53.2%) aged 12-24 years. Through a statistical calculation of the ratio of the average (Independent Sample T-Test) obtain resulted that there is no difference between non-verbal communication skills and gender in teenager Internet users.
