"Luka merupakan kerusakan struktur ataupun integritas kulit yang dapat terjadi dalam berbagai tingkat keparahan. Luka dapat berkembang dari akut menjadi kronis. Upaya pencegahan luka akut menjadi luka kronis yaitu dengan melakukan perawatan luka yang sesuai. Perawatan luka telah banyak berkembang, persepsi positif dari masyarakat dapat mendukung berkembangnya praktik mandiri perawatan luka oleh perawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai bagaimana persepsi masyarakat terhadap praktik mandiri perawatan luka oleh perawat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling berjumlah 432 responden yang terdiri atas orang dewasa yang berdomisili di Kota Depok. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap praktik mandiri perawatan luka oleh perawat adalah positif. Persepsi positif dari masyarakat dapat meningkatkan kepuasan masyarakat dan menjadi promosi bagi pelayanan perawatan luka oleh perawat.

Wounds are damage to the structure or integrity of the skin that can occur in various degrees of severity. Wounds can become more severe from acute to chronic. Efforts to prevent acute wounds from becoming chronic wounds are by performing appropriate wound care. Wound care has developed a lot, positive perceptions from the community can support the development of independent wound care practices by nurses. This study aims to get an idea of how the public's perception of the independent practice of wound care by nurses. This study used a descriptive design with a cluster random sampling technique totalling 432 respondents consisting of adults who live in the city of Depok. The results of this study indicate that the public's perception of the independent practice of wound care by nurses is positive. Positive perceptions from the community can increase community satisfaction and become a promotion for wound care services by nurses."
