"How should education respond to globalization? Globalization is the process of change. Global culture means modernity stressing on rationality, The process of globalization is a network system integrating global livelihood in time-space compression. It is comprised of economic, politic and cultural globalization. The relationship between globalization and education can be seen with the establishment of the knowledge-based society.
The element of modernity in the process of globalization needs to be adapted through education integrating local values. Therefore education should be adapted the global values especially in creating innovative and intelligent individuals in the knowledge-based society Indonesian society will be as competitive as other global society if they are veil trained and intelligently equipped with English and computer languages as required in the process of globalization.

"In globalization there are the development of education that is in line economic development. The influence of economic capitalism created the idea that competition is geared towards destroying each other. The motivation to collect wealth, individualism and unhealthy competition are converted into greed. The gaps between winners and the lowers are widened.
It is the role of universities to cope with the challenging issue of social ethics as there impacts of globalization. University has been oriented towards economic means without meeting the needs of the society. The universities are further away from moral education. Universities have to educate not only experts and siklled laborers, but also thinkers who are concerned with the whole problem of the society."

"Studi ini mencoba untuk melihat implementasi program Semai Benih Bangsa yang dilakukan oleh Indonesia Heritage Foundation. Studi ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi formatif dengan penekanan pada process studies dengan ruang lingkup evaluasi input dan activities. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang melibatkan sejumlah informan dari internal organisasi, stakeholder dan penerima manfaat. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa, pada aspek input yang terdiri dari penerima manfaat, fasilitas SBB, SDM manajemen IHF, SDM guru SBB, dana dan jejaring telah berhasil berjalan sesuai dengan setting up. Namun pada aspek activities terdapat beberapa kegiatan yang belum berjalan sesuai setting up yaitu pelatihan model PHBK dan pertemuan sekolah SBB. Sedangkan kegiatan pelaksanaan PHBK, monitoring sudah sesuai dengan setting up program. Pada penelitian ini juga dibahas hambatan yang ditemui dalam melaksanakan program dan upaya yang dilakukan oleh yayasan dalam menghadapi hambatan tersebut.
This study tries to look the implementation of the Semai Benih Bangsa program conducted by the Indonesia Heritage Foundation. This study is a formative evaluation research with an emphasis on process studies with the scope of evaluation of inputs and activities. This study was taken with qualitative approach involving a number of informants from internal organizations, stakeholders and beneficiaries. From the results of the study, it was found that, in the input aspect consisting of beneficiaries, SBB facilities, IHF management human resources, SBB teacher human resources, funds and networks have successfully run according to the setting up. However, in the aspect of activities, there are several activities that have not been carried out according to the setting up ; PHBK model training and SBB school meetings. Meanwhile, monitoring activities are in accordance with the program settings. This study also discusses the obstacles encountered in implementing program and look efforts from foundation in dealing with these obstacles."
