"Dalam sistem pemanas yang digunakan di industri, ada beberapa sistem salah satunya sistem pemanas uap. Pada sistem pemanas uap, alat yang digunakan untuk membuat yaitu ketel uap. Ketel uap adalah sebuah alat untuk memproduksi uap panas bertekanan yang melalui proses pemanasan air hingga mendidih. Untuk membuat air menjadi mendidih diperlukan proses pembakaran. Dalam praktik keinsinyuran ini, membahas tentang perawatan ketel dan K3L pengoprasian ketel. Dalam perawatan preventif dan K3L peongoprasian ini bertujuan menghemat biaya perawatan bulanan, mencegah kerusakan unit, dan mencegah terjadinya bahaya dalam pengoprasian ketel. Beberapa bagian yang harus di analisa dalam perawatan yaitu air umpan, bahan bakar dan komponen ketel. Dan K3L dalam pengoprasian harus diperhatikan karna masi banyak kasus kecelakaan yang terjadi akibat dari kurangnya pelindung diri, sistem keamanan yang kurang, dan unit ketel yang kurang keamanannya. Hasil analisa praktek keinsinyuran ini didapat dari data kualitas air dan kinerja pada setiap komponen ketel. Serta untuk K3L pengoprasiannya dilihat dari sistem operasionalnya dan keamanannya. Agar terhindar dari kecelakaan kerja pada operasional.
Several heating systems are used in the industry, one of which is the steam heating system. In this system, the tool used to create the steam is a boiler. A steam boiler is a tool to produce pressurized hot steam, which goes through the water heating process until it is evaporated. A combustion process is needed to create boiled water. This study discusses the maintenance of boiler and security, safety, health, and environment related to the boiler operation. The preventive maintenance and safety measures for boiler operation are performed to minimize operational costs, prevent unit damages, and prevent any potential hazards in operating the boiler. In addition, the safety measures should be conducted under tight supervision as many accidents occur due to a lack of personal protection, minor security systems, and an unsafe boiler unit. The results are obtained from the water quality data and the performance of the boiler’s components. Also, for the safety measures, the operational and safety systems are appropriately monitored to avoid work accidents during operation."

ABSTRACTWe proposed a method for measuring the temperature by using Mach - Zehnder Interferometer, one arms of Mach - Zehnder Interferometer was used as a test arms which was disturbed by an object, it's temperature was to be measured. In our experiment, we used a combustion flame and a heated welder with temperature variation as a testing object. System, contains He - Ne laser source, two beams splatters and two mirrors which form two arms of interferometer, with a length of 1,06 meter. The experiment results shows that the variation of temperature could give the difference of fringe spacing at the screen. Several photographs of fringe pattern on the screen have been successfully taken on both under temperature disturbance and normal condition. The comparison between the fringe spacing under those two conditions could give the information about temperature of the testing objects. This result was also compared with the measurement using thermocouple with digital display. This comparison gives us a good agreement."

"Kemajuan teknologi secara tidak langsung turut berperan serta dalam terjadinya pemanasan global, perubahan kondisi lingkungan yang ditengarai dapat membahayakan kelangsungan hidup manusia. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, para Arsitek mulai menyadari akan peran penting mereka sebagai agen perubahan untuk menyelamatkan masa depan bumi lewat inovasi teknologi yang terus berkembang dengan memanfanfaatkan sumber daya alam yang dapat terus diperbarui seperti angin, cahaya matahari, air, dan lain lain. Kesadaran akan pentingnya beralih ke teknologi hijau semakin terlihat dengan maraknya gagasan desain pasif yang ?sustainable?, contohnya inovasi dalam pemanasan dan pendinginan pasif dengan memanfaatkan cahaya matahari dan hembusan angin alami, cahaya matahari sebagai sumber cahaya natural di siang hari, filtrasi udara oleh tanaman, dan lain lain. Berawal dari inovasi, selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menjadi kebiasaan yang mengakar dalam kehidupan sehari hari masyarakat untuk menghasilkan gaya hidup sehat demi bumi yang lebih nyaman untuk ditinggali. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan karya tulis ini adalah identifikasi masalah, studi kasus, pemilihan solusi terbaik, dan penelitian tentang teori, teknologi, preseden dan observasi langsung, karya tulis ini dibuat dengan tujuan menawarkan solusi untuk mengoptimalkan kenyamanan penghuni melalui teknologi yang lebih ramah lingkungan yang akan disajikan dengan diagram, gambar ilustrasi dan berbagai analisis.
Advances in technology has indirectly participated in the occurrence of global warming, changes in environmental conditions that is harmful to human survival. Over time, the architect began to realize the important role they held as agents of change to save the future of the Earth through technological innovations that continue to grow by taking advantage of natural resources that could be renewed such as wind, sunlight, water, and others. Awareness of the importance of switching to green technologies increasingly visible with the rise of the idea of passive design that is "sustainable", ie innovation in passive heating and cooling by utilizing sunlight and wind gusts natural sunlight as a source of natural light during the day, air filtration by plants, and others. Starting from innovation, then expected to be an ingrained habit in the daily life of the community to produce a healthy lifestyle for the sake of the earth as a more comfortable place to live. The method used in the writing of this paper is to identify problems, case studies, selecting the best solution, and studies of the theory, technology, precedent and direct observation. This paper made with the aim of offering solutions to optimize occupant comfort through technologies that are more environmentally friendly, will be presented with diagrams, illustrations and various analyzes."
