"Panduan dari American Diabetes Association (ADA) tahun 2015 menyarankan penggunaan aspirin (75-162 mg/hari) pada pasien DM untuk pencegahan primer maupun sekunder terhadap penyakit kardiovaskular. Namun, sebagian pasien yang minum aspirin tidak mencapai respons inhibisi yang diharapkan (resistensi aspirin). Terdapat teori yang menyatakan bahwa kontrol metabolik pada diabetes berkontribusi menurunkan sensitivitas trombosit terhadap aspirin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui proporsi resistensi aspirin pada pasien DM tipe 2, serta hubungannya dengan kontrol glikemik yang dinyatakan dengan HbA1c. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang terhadap 82 pasien DM yang minum aspirin. Pada pasien dilakukan pemeriksaan agregasi trombosit dengan agregometer Chrono-log. Definisi resistensi aspirin adalah agregasi trombosit ≥ 20% dengan agonis asam arakidonat 0,5 mg/mL. HbA1c diperiksa menggunakan metode afinitas boronat dari Nycocard. Didapatkan proporsi resistensi aspirin sebanyak 14,6%. Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna antara kendali HbA1c yang buruk dengan resistensi aspirin.

Guidelines from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) in 2015 suggested the use of aspirin (75-162 mg / day) in patients with diabetes mellitus for primary or secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. However, some patients who took aspirin did not achieve the expected inhibition response (aspirin resistance). There is a theory which states that the metabolic control in diabetes contributes to decrease sensitivity of platelets to aspirin. This study aims to determine proportion of aspirin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes, as well as its relation with glycemic control that is represented by HbA1c. This study used cross-sectional design on 82 diabetic patients who took aspirin. Platelet aggregation was assessed using Chrono-log aggregometry. Resistance to aspirin was defined as ≥ 20% platelet aggregation with arachidonic acid 0,5 mg / mL. HbA1c was assessed with boronic affinity method of Nycocard. Twelve subjects (14,6%) of type 2 diabetic patients were found to be resistant to aspirin therapy. There was no significant association between poor HbA1c control and aspirin resistance."

"Diabetes melitus merupakan suatu kelompok penyakit metabolik dengan hiperglikemia sebagai karakteristik utama. Hiperglikemia terjadi karena kelainan sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, dan atau keduanya. Sekitar 50% penyandang diabetes di Indonesia belum terdiagnosis sehingga komplikasi akibat DM tidak dapat dihindari. Pengendalian terjadinya komplikasi dilakukan dengan kontrol glikemik secara teratur. Pemeriksaan kontrol glikemik antara lain dengan glukosa darah puasa, HbA1c, dan fruktosamin.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran kadar fruktosamin dan HbA1c pada diabetes melitus tipe 2 tidak terkontrol, mengetahui perubahan kadar fruktosamin dan HbA1c setelah terapi 2 minggu dan 8 minggu, serta hubungan antara keduanya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kohort prospektif pada 33 subyek yang terdiri dari 24 orang perempuan dan 9 orang laki-laki. Subyek penelitian diikuti selama 2 minggu dan 8 minggu sejak dilakukan perubahan terapi. Penelitian dimulai pada bulan Februari sampai April 2015. Subyek yang termasuk dalam penelitian adalah diabetes mellitus tipe 2 yang tidak terkontrol dengan HbA1c>7%.
Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai median dan rentang fruktosamin pada minggu ke-0, minggu ke-2, dan minggu ke-8 berturut-turut 362 μmol/L (257-711), 327 μmol/L (234-616), dan 350 μmol/L (245-660). Kadar HbA1c memiliki nilai median dan rentang pada minggu ke-0, minggu ke-2, dan minggu ke-8 yaitu 9.3% (7.1-14.8), 8.8% (6.9-12.7), dan 8.4% (5.9-14.2). Terdapat penurunan bermakna kadar fruktosamin dan HbA1c dengan p<0.001. Adanya korelasi yang kuat dan arah korelasi yang positif antara fruktosamin dan HbA1c (minggu ke-0, r=0.86; minggu ke-2, r=0.82; minggu ke-8, r= 0.84).
Pada penelitian ini diperoleh penurunan yang bermakna kadar fruktosamin dan HbA1c pada 2 minggu dan 8 minggu setelah terapi dengan korelasi yang kuat ( r > 0.8) dan arah korelasi positif. Fruktosamin lebih baik digunakan untuk kontrol glikemik jangka menengah (2 minggu) sedangkan HbA1c lebih baik dipakai untuk kontrol glikemik jangka panjang (8 minggu).

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases with hyperglycemia as the main characteristics. Hyperglycemia occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Approximately 50% of people with diabetes in Indonesia have not been diagnosed, thus complications due to diabetes cannot be avoided. Taking control of diabetes mellitus can be done through glycemic control measurements on a regular basis. Fasting blood glucose, HbA1c, and fructosamine tests are lists of key features for glycemic control measurements.
The aims of this study was to overview the levels of fructosamine and HbA1c in uncontrolled type-2 diabetes mellitus, determine changes in fructosamine and HbA1c levels after two weeks and eight weeks of treatment, and analyze the relationship between the two.
This study used a prospective cohort design with 33 subjects consisted of 24 women and 9 men. Subjects were followed for two weeks and eight weeks after the initial therapy amendment. The study began in February and April 2015. The subjects included in the study were uncontrolled type-2 diabetes mellitus with HbA1c> 7%.
Fructosamine concentration, given as median and range values, at weeks 0, 2, and 8 were 362 μmol/L (257-711), 347 μmol/L (234-660), and 333 μmol/L (235-676), respectively. HbA1c levels (median and range) at weeks 0, 2, and 8 were 9.3% (7.1-14.8), 8.8% (6.9-12.7) and 8.4% (5.9-14.2). There was a significant reduction of fructosamine and HbA1c levels (p <0.001). A strong and positive correlation were found between fructosamine and HbA1c (week 0, r = 0.86; week 2, r = 0.82; week 8, r = 0.84).
From this study, it can be concluded that fructosamine and HbA1c levels were significantly reduced at weeks 2 and 8 after treatment, with a positive strong correlation (r> 0.8). Thus, fructosamine is preferable for medium-term (two weeks) glycemic control while the HbA1c is preferred for long-term (eight weeks) glycemic control.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian mengenai hubungan inulin dan fruktooligosakarida FOS terhadap kadar gula darah masih terbatas dan hasilnya kontradiktif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian potong lintang untuk menilai hubungan antara asupan serat total, inulin, dan FOS dengan kadar Hemoglobin A1cpada wanita Suku Minangkabau dan Sunda. Dilakukan penilaian asupan terhadap 298 wanita menggunakan semi quantitative food frequency questionnaire. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linier ganda. Median serat, inulin, dan FOS lebih tinggibermakna pada wanita Sunda dibandingkan Minangkabau.Median kadar HbA1ctidak berbeda bermakna antara kedua suku. Setelah dilakukan penyesuaian terhadap faktor pengganggu, asupan serat ?=-0,011, p=0,211 , inulin ?=-0,019, p=0,733 , dan FOS ?=-0,092, p=0,357 tidak berhubungan dengan kadar HbA1cpada wanita Suku Minangkabau dan wanita Sunda.
ABSTRACT
Inulin and Fructooligosaccharide FOS are recently known to have effect on lowering blood glucose, but this finding was still multivocal. A cross sectional study was conducted to assess the relationship between dietary fiber, inulin, and FOS intake with hemoglobin A1c HbA1c level in Minangkabau and Sundanese women. A total of 298 women were selected. Fiber, inulin and FOS intake was assessed using semi quantitative food frequency questionaire. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regression. Median of dietary fiber, inulin, and FOS are signfificantly higher in Sundanese than in Minangkabau women. Median of HbA1c level was not stastically different between two ethnics. After adjustment with potential confouders, there was no relationship between total dietary fiber 0,011, p 0,211 , inulin 0,019, p 0,733 , dan FOS 0,092, p 0,357 intake with HbA1c level in Minangkabau and Sundanese women. "

"Background: World Health Organization (WHO) estimates the incidence of type 2 diabetes in Indonesia would increase to 21.3 million in 2030. Diabetes has a chronic complications, including peripheral neuropathy. The degree of neuropathy was assessed through the Neuropathy Disability Score (NDS). In contrast, haemoglobin A1c is glycated haemoglobin used to monitor the glucose levels of diabetic patients in the last 2 or 3 months. The relationship between HbA1c and diabetic neuropathy carried out by electrodiagnosis showed that HbA1c and age were the main predictors of diabetic neuropathy. However, electrodiagnosis is still considered costly. Research is needed to determine the relationship between HbA1c and NDS to reduce morbidity. This study aims to determine the relationship between the severity of diabetic neuropathy as measured by NDS with HbA1c level in type 2 Diabetes. Methods: this cross-sectional study involved correlation analysis.. The collected data were analyzed with the Spearman correlation test. Results: approximately 56 diabetic patients were involved in this study. Patients were recruited from the internal medicine outpatient ward from the West Nusa Tenggara General Hospital. The mean age was 59.55 (SD 9.48) with 57.1% female; the median duration of diabetes was 5.5 years. The median NDS score is 7.5 and the median HbA1c value is 8.65. Spearman correlation analysis shows a correlation coefficient of 0.487 with a value of p = 0.000. Conclusion: there is a relationship between HbA1c level and the severity of diabetic neuropathy in Type 2 DM."

"Pendahuluan. Kadar HbA1c tinggi berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai implikasi kesehatan, terutama berkaitan dengan penyakit metabolik dan kardiovaskular. Kualitas tidur buruk dinilai dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya HbA1c tinggi melalui berbagai mekanisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur terhadap kadar HbA1c tinggi di Indonesia. Metodologi. Desain studi penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional dengan menggunakan data Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5 tahun 2014. Besar sampel berjumlah 4223 dengan metode total sampling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif, serta estimasi menggunakan analisis multiple logistic regression. Analisis data menggunakan sofware STATA 13. Hasil Penelitian. Prevalensi kadar HbA1c tinggi sebesar 6,06%, sementara prevalensi kualitas tidur buruk adalah 15,16%. Sebesar 15,47% yang mengalami kadar HbA1c tinggi memiliki kualitas tidur buruk. Pada analisis model akhir menunjukkan bahwa mereka dengan kualitas tidur buruk terbukti secara statistik berhubungan signifikan (p<0,001) serta meningkatkan risiko terjadinya HbA1c tinggi sebesar empat kali lipat dibandingkan pada kelompok dengan kualitas tidur baik (PR= 3,99; 3,0563-5,2173). Tidak ditemukan adanya confounder yang dapat mengganggu hubungan kadar HbA1c tinggi dengan kualitas tidur buruk pada penelitian ini. Meski demikian, mereka yang berumur ≥45 tahun, perempuan, terdiagnosa hipertensi, dan memiliki IMT ≥23 kg/m2 memiliki risiko lebih besar terjadinya HbA1c tinggi pada kelompok kualitas tidur buruk. Kesimpulan. Kualitas tidur buruk terbukti berhubungan signifikan dengan kejadian kadar HbA1c tinggi. Hal ini mengharuskan adanya intervensi edukasi dan konseling kesehatan pada populasi usia produktif terkait menjaga kualitas tidur berdasarkan komponen-komponen kualitas tidur baik untuk mempertahankan kadar HbA1c normal.

Introduction. High HbA1c can potentially cause various health implications, primarily related to metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. Poor sleep quality increases the risk of elevated HbA1c levels through multiple mechanisms. This study aims to determine the association between sleep quality and high HbA1c levels in Indonesia's productive age population of 20-59 years. Methodology. This study was conducted cross-sectionally using Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5 data in 2014. The sample size was 4223 using the total sampling method. Data were analyzed descriptively and estimated using multiple logistic regression analysis. The data were analyzed using STATA 13 software. Results. The prevalence of high HbA1c levels was 6.06%, while the prevalence of poor sleep quality was 15.16%. A total of 15.47% who experienced high HbA1c levels had poor sleep quality. The final model analysis showed that those with poor sleep quality were statistically significantly associated (p<0.001) and increased the risk of high HbA1c by four times compared to those with good sleep quality (PR= 3.99; 3.0563-5.2173). There were no confounders that could interfere with the association of high HbA1c levels with poor sleep quality in this study. However, those who were ≥45 years old, female, hypertension, and BMI ≥23 kg/m2 had a greater risk of high HbA1c in poor sleep quality. Conclusion. Poor sleep quality was shown to be significantly associated with the incidence of high HbA1c levels. Requires educational interventions and health counselling in the productive age population related to maintaining sleep quality based on the components of good sleep quality for maintaining normal HbA1c levels. "

"Abnormalitas metabolisme glukosa yang terjadi pada pasien diabetes mengambarkan peningkatan risiko pada perkembangan dan prognosis kanker tertentu. Metformin yang merupakan terapi lini pertama untuk pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 telah dikaitkan dengan risiko berkurangnya berbagai sel kanker. Penelitian ini membandingkan dan menganalisis efektivitas pengobatan metformin tunggal/kombinasi dan non-metformin terhadap nilai antibodi anti-p53 dan hubungannya dengan nilai HbA1c pada pasien T2DM yang memiliki faktor risiko kanker. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian observasional dengan menggunakan metode cross-sectional dengan jumlah sampel 32 orang yang diambil di Puskesmas Pasar Minggu, Puskesmas Cimanggis, RSUD Depok, dan pasien volunteer di kabupaten Tangerang dengan teknik total sampling. Nilai rerata antibodi anti-p53 diukur menggunakan elisa kit MESACUP anti-p53 Test, sedangkan HbA1c diukur di lab klinik terakreditasi dengan metode ion exchange HPLC. Nilai antibodi anti-p53, yaitu 0,17 ± 0,07 pada kelompok metformin tunggal/kombinasi dan 0,25 ± 0,12 pada kelompok non-metformin. Namun, nilai antibodi anti-p53 pada kedua kelompok tidak memiliki perbedaan yang bermakna (p = 0,970). Analisis korelasi antara nilai HbA1c dengan nilai antibodi anti-p53 pada kelompok non-metformin menghasilkan hubungan negatif yang kuat dan bermakna (r = -0,709; p = 0,003). Sedangkan pada kelompok metformin tunggal/atau kombinasi tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna (r = -0,056; p = 0,830).

Abnormalities of glucose metabolism that occur in diabetic patients describe an increased risk in the development and prognosis of certain cancers. Metformin is a first-line therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes melitus has been associated with a reduced risk of various cancer cells. This study compares and analyzes the effectiveness of treatment in group of metformin or combination and non-metformin towards anti-p53 antibody ​​and their relation to HbA1c in T2DM patients who have risk factors for cancer. Type of research is an observational study using cross-sectional method with a total sample is 32 people in Puskesmas Pasar Minggu, Puskesmas Cimanggis, RSUD Depok, and volunteers patient in Tangerang district using total sampling technique. Anti-p53 antibody was measured using elisa kit MESACUP anti-p53 Test whereas HbA1c was measured in accredited clinical lab by ion exchange HPLC method. The average of anti-p53 antibody is 0,17 ± 0,07 in metformin single dose/combinations group and 0,25 ± 0,12 in non-metformin group. Moreover, there was no significance difference between the group of metformin or combination and non-metformin (p = 0,970). On the other hand, there was a strongly correlation between HbA1c values and anti-p53 antibody in group of non-metformin (r = -0,709; p = 0,003) but none in the group of single dose or combinations group (r = -0,056; p = 0,830).

Pendahuluan: Hiperglikemia dalam kehamilan ditemui pada 25% kehamilan di Asia Tenggara, dan jika tidak terkontrol dapat menimbulkan komplikasi serius. Hemoglobin glikat (HbA1c) merupakan penanda standar status glikemik, namun dapat meningkat palsu pada kehamilan lanjut. Albumin glikat sebagai indikator status glikemik baru yang tidak dipengaruhi oleh anemia dapat menjadi alternatif dalam kehamilan.
Tujuan: Mengetahui penggunaan HbA1c dan albumin glikat pada kehamilan dengan status glikemik normal.
Metode: Sampel darah diambil dari 60 ibu hamil dengan usia kehamilan 21-36 minggu. Dilakukan pemeriksaan HbA1c, Hb, MCV, MCH, RDW, albumin glikat, albumin, besi serum, glukosa darah, saturasi transferin, dan TIBC. Parameter-parameter tersebut dibandingkan antara empat kelompok usia kehamilan (I: 21-24 minggu, n=17; II: 25-28 minggu, n=16; III: 29-32 minggu, n=16; dan IV: 33-36 minggu, n=11) menggunakan uji ANOVA atau Kruskal-Wallis dengan uji post-hoc.
Hasil: Kadar albumin glikat tidak berbeda bermakna antara keempat kelompok (p=0.061). Kadar HbA1c lebih tinggi pada kelompok IV (4.59 ±0.28 %) daripada kelompok I (4.24 ± 0.27%, p=0.009). Kadar Hb kelompok II {10.9 (7.9 ? 11.6) g/dL} lebih rendah dibandingkan III (11.68 ± 0.84 g/dL, p=0.004) dan IV (11.74 ± 0.66 g/dL, p=0.001). Kadar albumin pada kelompok IV (3.59 ± 0.22 g/dL) lebih rendah dibandingkan kelompok I (3.82 ± 0.19 g/dL, p=0.006). Tidak ada perbedaan bermakna MCV, MCH, RDW-CV, besi serum, TIBC, dan saturasi transferin antar kelompok usia kehamilan (semua p>0.05)
Kesimpulan: Kadar HbA1c berbeda menurut usia kehamilan, sedangkan pemeriksaan albumin glikat tidak terpengaruh dengan usia kehamilan. Albumin glikat dapat menjadi penanda status glikemik pada usia kehamilan 21-36 minggu.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Hyperglycemia during pregnancy is found in 25% of pregnancy in Southeast Asia, and when uncontrolled may cause serious complications. Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is a standard indicator for glycemic status, but can show false increase during late pregnancy. Glycated albumin, a new glycemic status indicator which is unaffected by anemia, may be an alternative for pregnancy.
Purpose: To examine the usefulness of HbA1c and glycated albumin during pregnancy with normal glycemic status.
Method: Blood samples were taken from 60 pregnant women between 21-36 weeks of pregnancy. Tests were done for HbA1c, Hb, MCV, MCH, RDW, glycated albumin, albumin, serum iron, blood glucose, transferrin saturation, and TIBC. These parameters were compared among four groups of age of pregnancy (I: 21-24 weeks, n=17; II: 25-28 weeks, n=16; III: 29-32 weeks, n=16; and IV: 33-36 weeks, n=11) using ANOVA or Kruskal-Wallis test with post-hoc tests.
Results: Glycated albumin was not statistically different among the groups (p=0.061). HbA1c level was higher in group IV (4.59 ± 0.28%) compared to group I (4.24 ± 0.27%, p=0.009). Hb level of group II {10.9 (7.9 ? 11.6) g/dL} was lower than group III (11.68 ± 0.84 g/dL, p=0.004) and IV (11.74 ± 0.66 g/dL, p=0.001). Albumin level of group IV (3.59 ± 0.22 g/dL) was lower than group I (3.82 ± 0.19 g/dL, p=0.006). No statistically significant difference was found for MCV, MCH, RDW-CV, serum iron, TIBC, and transferin saturation among pregnancy age groups (all p>0.05)
Conclusion: HbA1c was different with different pregnancy age, but glycated albumin was not affected by pregnancy age. Therefore glycated albumin may be used as glycemic status indicator during pregnancy age of 21-36 weeks."

"ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan salah satu penyakit tersering pada usia lanjut. Salah satu komplikasi DM adalah neuropati otonom, dimana hipotensi ortostatik merupakan tanda dari neuropati otonom yang berat. Adanya Hipotensi ortostatik pada pasien DM usia lanjut meningkatkan risiko kejadian kardiovaskular dan kematian. Saat ini belum ada studi di Indonesia yang menggambarkan proporsi hipotensi ortostatik pada pasien DM usia lanjut. Selain itu studi tentang hubungan kadar HbA1c dengan kejadian hipotensi ortostatik pada subjek DM masih terbatas dan hasilnya masih kontroversial.
Tujuan: Mendapatkan proporsi hipotensi ortostatik pada pasien DM usia lanjut di RSCM Jakarta dan hubungannya dengan kadar HbA1c.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi potong lintang terhadap 350 penderita DM usia ≥60 tahun yang berobat di poliklinik Geriatri dan Diabetes RSCM periode Januari-Maret 2016. Hipotensi ortostatik didefinisikan sebagai penurunan tekanan darah sistolik ≥ 20mmHg dan atau tekanan diastolik ≥10mmHg dalam 3 menit setelah perubahan posisi dari berbaring ke berdiri. Pemeriksaan kadar HbA1c menggunakan alat Nycocard dari Axis Shield. Uji chi square digunakan untuk analisis bivariat dan regresi logsitik digunakan untuk analisis multivariat terhadap variabel perancu.
Hasil Penelitian: Proporsi hipotensi ortostatik sebesar 27,4% pada subjek DM usia lanjut. Median HbA1c didapatkan lebih tinggi pada subjek dengan hipotensi ortostatik dibandingkan tanpa hipotensi ortostatik (7,6% vs 7,1%; p<0,05). Terdapat hubungan antara kadar HbA1c ≥7,35% dengan kejadian hipotensi ortostatik (OR 1,987, 95%IK 1,2-3,2). Lama DM merupakan variabel perancu dalam penelitian ini.
Kesimpulan: Hipotensi ortostatik banyak ditemukan pada subjek DM usia lanjut. Terdapat hubungan antara kejadian hipotensi ortostatik dengan peningkatan kadar HbA1c pada pasien DM usia lanjut di RSCM Jakarta.

ABSTRACT
Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the commonest diseases in the elderly. One of its complications is autonomic neuropathy. Orthostatic hypotension is a sign of severe autonomic neuropathy. The presence of orthostatic hypotension in elderly patients with DM increases the risk of cardiovascular events and death. Currently there are no studies in Indonesia that describe the proportion of orthostatic hypotension in elderly patients with DM. Moreover, studies about the relationship between HbA1c level and incidence of orthostatic hypotension in subjects with DM are still limited and the results are controversial. Objective: This study aims to obtain the proportion of orthostatic hypotension in elderly diabetic patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta and its relationship with HbA1c level.
Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study on 350 patients with DM aged ≥60 years old who seeked treatment at the Geriatry and Diabetes clinic in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital from January to March 2016. Orthostatic hypotension was defined as a decrease in systolic blood pressure ≥ 20mmHg or diastolic pressure ≥10mmHg within 3 minutes after changing position from lying to standing. Level of HbA1c was measured using Nycocard from Axis Shield. Chi square test was used for bivariate analysis and logistical regression was used for multivariate analysis against confounding variables.
Results: The proportion of orthostatic hypotension in elderly subjects with DM was 27.4%. Median of HbA1c level was higher in subjects with orthostatic hypotension than subjects without (7.6% vs. 7.1%; p <0.05). There was a relationship between HbA1c level ≥7,35% and incidence of orthostatic hypotension (OR 1.987, 95% CI 1.2-3.2). Length of having DM was a confounding variable.
Conclusion: Orthostatic hypotension is more common in elderly subjects with DM. There is a relationship between the incidence of orthostatic hypotension with elevated level of HbA1c in diabetic elderly patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta.

"Diabetes Melitus adalah penyakit metabolik yang terjadi karena adanya kelainan pada sekresi insulin atau kerja insulin yang ditandai dengan adanya karakteristik hiperglikemia dan dapat berujung komplikasi berupa nefropati diabetik. Pemeriksaan penunjang untuk mendiagnosis Diabetes Melitus salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan HbA1c, yang merupakan hasil dari proses glikosilasi nonenzimatis glukosa pada hemoglobin. Korelasi antara HbA1c dengan mikroalbumin dan laju filtrasi glomerulus sebagai penanda nefropati diabetik belum banyak diteliti di Indonesia.
Penelitian ini menggunakan design penelitian cross-sectional dengan menggunakan 80 subjek yang memeriksakan kadar HbA1c, mikroalbuminuria dan laju filtrasi glomerulus ke Laboraturium RSCM. Data diolah dengan menggunakan uji spearman untuk HbA1c dan mikroalbumin dengan hasil r = 0.381 dan p < 0,001 serta uji pearson untuk HbA1c dengan laju filtrasi glomerulus dengan hasil p > 0,05. Pada penelitian didapatkan terdapat korelasi lemah antara HbA1c dan mikroalbumin serta tidak ada korelasi antara HbA1c dengan laju filtrasi glomerulus.

Diabetes Mellitus is metabolic disease with impairment of insulin secretion and insulin function which marked by hyperglycemia and could lead to diabetic nephropathy complication. Testing for HbA1c is one of the tests to diagnose diabetes mellitus. HbA1c itself is a substance that results from glucose nonenzimatic glycosylation process to hemoglobin. The correlation between HbA1c with microalbumin in urine and glomerular filtration rate is not fully known in Indonesia.
This study is using cross sectional study design on 80 subjects from RSCM laboratory. The data for HbA1c and microalbumin were analyzed using spearman test r 0.381 and p 0,001 and the for HbA1c and glomerular filtration rate were analyzed using pearson test p 0,05. The conclusion are there was a weak correlation between HbA1c and microalbumin in urine and no correlation between HbA1c and glomerular filtration rate.
