"Tesis ini menyelidiki hubungan antara praktik lindung nilai terhadap kinerja keuangan Perusahaan Multinasional (MNE) manufaktur yang beroperasi di Indonesia. Bertentangan dengan ekspektasi, analisis terhadap 59 perusahaan dalam periode 5 tahun menunjukkan tidak ada dampak lindung nilai yang signifikan secara statistik terhadap kinerja keuangan. Temuan tak terduga ini disebabkan oleh dua keterbatasan: sampel yang mungkin terlalu kecil dan kerangka teori yang tidak lengkap. Sampel yang terbatas (59 perusahaan) mungkin tidak sepenuhnya menangkap hubungan dalam populasi yang lebih luas (32.193 perusahaan). Selain itu, faktor-faktor di luar lindung nilai, seperti ukuran perusahaan, struktur modal, dan tren konsumen, tidak dipertimbangkan secara komprehensif. Meskipun tidak ada korelasi yang signifikan secara statistik, penelitian ini menawarkan wawasan yang berharga. Hal ini menyoroti perlunya teori yang lebih berbeda yang menjelaskan kompleksitas kinerja keuangan di perusahaan multinasional. Meskipun praktik lindung nilai mungkin bukan satu-satunya pendorong kinerja keuangan, perusahaan multinasional manufaktur di Indonesia harus tetap menyadari potensi pengaruh fluktuasi nilai tukar. .This thesis investigated the relationship between hedging practices and financial performance of manufacturing Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) operating in Indonesia. Contrary to expectations, an analysis of 59 companies in a 5-year period revealed no statistically significant impact of hedging on financial performance. This unexpected finding is attributed to two limitations: a potentially undersized sample and an incomplete theoretical framework. The limited sample (59 companies) may not fully capture the relationship within the broader population (32,193 companies). Additionally, factors beyond hedging, such as firm size, capital structure, and consumer trends, were not comprehensively considered. Despite the lack of a statistically significant correlation, this research offers valuable insights. It highlights the need for more nuanced theories that account for the complexities of financial performance in MNEs. While hedging practices may not be the sole driver of financial performance, manufacturing MNEs in Indonesia should still acknowledge the potential influence of exchange rate fluctuations. This study serves as a springboard for future research. Future endeavors should utilize a larger, more representative sample and incorporate additional theoretical perspectives to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between hedging practices and financial performance in Indonesian manufacturing MNEs."

"Surabaya merupakan ibukota propinsi Jawa Timur dan kota terbesar kedua di Indonesia. Dengan perkembangan kota Surabaya sekarang ini, saluran irigasi yang ada semakin sedikit keberadaannya. Hal ini dikarenakan terjadinya perubahan tata guna lahan dari persawahan menjadi lahan pemukiman, akibatnya daerah peresapan semakin mengecil dan sebaliknya koefisien pengaliran semakin besar. Wilayah Medokan Semampir merupakan salah satu kawasan penting di Surabaya.
Saluran Medokan Semampir merupakan salah satu saluran yang ada di Surabaya Timur dan saluran ini berfungsi sebagai saluran drainase. Total luas sub catchment Medokan Semampir, menurut SDMP (Surabaya Drainage Master Plan), 764.290 Ha. Lama genangan sekitar 2-6 jam dan kedalaman mencapai 10-50 cm. Kondisi seperti ini sangat meresahkan masyarakat, baik yang tinggal di daerah tersebut maupun yang tinggal di luar daerah tersebut bila musim hujan tiba, banyak kerugian materi maupun non materi yang harus ditanggung masyarakat.
Mengacu pada keadaan tersebut, analisa dilakukan guna mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh fluktuasi muka air kali Wonokromo terhadap proses pembuangan tersebut. Apakah berpengaruh sekali sehingga terjadi limpahan air dari saluran Medokan Semampir yang menyebabkan terjadi genangan pada catchment tersebut atau sebaliknya. Analisa yang dihasilkan akan memperlihatkan berapa debit oveflow yang dibuang ketika terjadi banjir di Medokan.
Penyelesaian yang digunakan adalah menelusuri tiap reach/segment saluran dari hulu ke hilir. Sehingga nantinya solusi yang didapatkan adalah memperdalam saluran hingga dua pulu persen dari kedalaman eksisting, dan menggunakan parkiran air yang dibuang dengan rumah pompa.

Surabaya is the capital of East Java province and the second largest city in Indonesia. With the development of Surabaya city today, the existing irrigation less existence. This is because the change in land use from paddy fields into residential land, consequently shrinking catchments area and run off coefficient getting raised.
Medokan Semampir region is one important area in Surabaya. Medokan Semampir's channel is one channel available in east of Surabaya and these channels serve as drainage channels. Catchments total area of Medokan Semampir 764,290 ha (according to the SDMP). The flood happen approximately 2-6 hours and 10-50 cm depth of reach. This condition is troubling of people either living in the area or who live outside the area when the rainy season, many losses and non-material matter that must be borne by the public.
Referring to the situation, the analysis done to find out how big the influence of water level fluctuations Wonokromo time of the disposal process. Does it matter that there was an abundance of water from the channel that causes Medokan Semampir happened puddle in the catchments. Analysis performed using HEC-RAS software where computer programs are specifically designed to analyze the channel system.
The resulting analysis will show how debit oveflow discarded during floods in Medokan. Solution used was traced each reach / segment of the upstream channel to downstream. So that later obtained solution is to deepen the channel to twenty percent of the existing depth, and use the discarded water park with a pump house.

"ABSTRAK
Berdasarkan data WHO tahun 2012, stroke merupakan penyebab kematian pertama di Indonesia dan kedua di dunia. Hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013 menunjukkan peningkatan penderita stroke dibandingkan tahun 2007. Sebagian besar kasus stroke yang terjadi merupakan kasus iskemia. Elektroensefalografi EEG memiliki keuntungan biaya yang lebih murah dan resolusi temporal yang baik. Kerusakan jaringan di otak menyebabkan perubahan synchrony dan variabilitas sinyal EEG. Analisis synchrony yang direpresentasikan phase synchronization index PSI diperoleh dengan metode phase synchronization. Sedangkan, analisis variabilitas melalui dua scaling exponent diperoleh dengan detrended fluctuation analysis DFA . Extreme learning machine digunakan sebagai pengklasifikasi stroke iskemia dan normal. Tujuan riset ini adalah mengetahui performa synchrony dan variabilitas sinyal EEG dalam deteksi stroke iskemia. Deteksi berdasarkan synchrony sinyal EEG diperoleh akurasi 84,52 , sensitivitas 76,67 dan F-score adalah 0,84. Sedangkan, deteksi berdasarkan variabilitas sinyal EEG diperoleh akurasi 89,05 , sensitivitas 95,00 dan F-score adalah 0,91. Deteksi berdasarkan gabungan dari keduanya diperoleh akurasi 80,95 , sensitivitas 75,00 dan F-score adalah 0,81. Deteksi stroke iskemia ringan, sedang, berat dan normal berdasarkan variabilitas sinyal EEG diperoleh akurasi 62,88 .

ABSTRACT
Based on WHO rsquo s data in 2012, stroke is the first in Indonesia and the second causes of death in the world. Results of Basic Health Research in 2013 showed an increase in stroke patients compared to 2007. Ischemic stroke accounts for most of all stroke cases. Electroencephalography EEG offers cheaper cost and good temporal resolution. Tissue damage in the brain cause changes synchrony and variability of EEG signals. Synchrony analysis through the phase synchronization index PSI is obtained by phase synchronization. Whereas, Detrended fluctuation analysis DFA through two scaling exponent used to analyze variability. Extreme learning machine is used as a classifier of ischemic stroke patients and normal subjects. The aim of this research is to investigate synchrony and variability capabilities to perform ischemic stroke detection. Detection based on synchrony of EEG signal was obtained 84,52 for accuracy, 76,67 for sensitivity and 0,84 for F score. Meanwhile, detection based on variability of EEG signal was obtained 89.05 for accuracy, 95.00 for sensitivity and 0,91 for F score. Detection based synchrony and variability of signal EEG was obtained 80.95 for accuracy, 75.00 for sensitivity and 0,81 for F score. Detection of mild, moderate, severe ischemic stroke and normal based on variability of EEG signal was obtained 62.88 accuracy."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh fluktuasi harga minyak mentah dan gas alam terhadap variabel makroekonomi (inflasi, nilai tukar, dan indeks produksi) dan stock return valuation Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) dan saham sektoral pertambangan di Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan sampel dari harga komoditas minyak mentah dan gas alam serta return variabel makroekonomi dan saham indeks gabungan dan sektoral pertambangan di Indonesia pada periode tahun 2010-2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel (timeseries). Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa, pertama, hanya nilai tukar Rupiah terhadap Dollar Amerika Serikat pada variabel makroekonomi yang terpengaruh secara signifikan oleh fluktuasi harga minyak mentah, sedangkan inflasi dan indeks produksi tidak terpengaruh secara signifikan oleh fluktuasi harga minyak mentah. Kedua, penelititan ini juga menemukan bahwa hanya nilai tukar Rupiah terhadap Dollar Amerika Serikat yang secara signifikan terpengaruh oleh pergerakan harga gas alam. Inflasi dan Indeks produksi industri di Indonesia tidak terpengaruh secara signifikan dikarenakan gas alam bukan salah satu komoditas utama untuk kegiatan ekspor impor di Indonesia. Terakhir, ditemukan bahwa return IHSG terpengaruh secara signifikan oleh pergerakan positif atau negatif kedua komoditas dari harga minyak mentah dan gas alam di Indonesia. Return sektoral saham pertambangan hanya terpengaruh signifikan oleh pergerakan harga dari minyak mentah.

This study aims to examine the effect of fluctuations in crude oil and natural gas prices on macroeconomic variables (inflation, exchange rates, and production index) and stock return valuation of the Composite Stock Price Index (IDX) and mining sector stocks in Indonesia. This study uses a sample of commodity prices for crude oil and natural gas as well as macroeconomic variable returns and stock index and mining sector composites in Indonesia in the period 2010-2020. The research method used is panel data regression (timeseries). This study finds that, firstly, only the exchange rate of the Rupiah against the United States Dollar on macroeconomic variables is significantly affected by fluctuations in crude oil prices, while inflation and production index are not significantly affected by fluctuations in crude oil prices. Second, this study also finds that only the exchange rate of the Rupiah against the United States Dollar is significantly affected by the movement of natural gas prices. Inflation and industrial production index in Indonesia are not significantly affected because natural gas is not one of the main commodities for export and import activities in Indonesia. Finally, it was found that IDX returns were significantly affected by positive or negative movements of the two commodities of crude oil and natural gas prices in Indonesia. Mining stock sector returns are only significantly affected by price movements of crude oil. "
