"Tesis ini membahas pengaruh pertumbuhan dana pensiun dengan perkembangan sektor keuangan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia. Hasil pengolahan data dengan Ordinary Least Square (OLS) menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan dana pensiun memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perkembangan sektor keuangan yang diwakili oleh variabel dana pihak ketiga perbankan dan kapitalisasi pasar modal. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dana pensiun berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kedalaman sektor keuangan melalui perbankan, dan juga menstimulasi perkembangan pasar modal di Indonesia. Sementara itu, pengaruh pertumbuhan dana pensiun terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi secara tidak langsung melalui sektor keuangan melalui model yang digunakan menunjukkan hasil yang positif dan signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan pertumbuhan aset dana pensiun perlu ditingkatkan agar perannya dalam sektor keuangan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi semakin nyata. Disarankan agar peningkatan kontribusi dana pensiun tersebut dilakukan melalui peningkatan akumulasi aset dana pensiun dengan perluasan kepesertaan dan peningkatan kemampuan pengelola dana pensiun.

This thesis discusses the influence of pension fund growth to financial sector development and economic growth in Indonesia. The results of regression analysis with the ordinary least squares (OLS) showed that the growth of the pension fund investment has a positive and significant impact on financial sector development which represented growth of bank third party fund and capital market capitalization variables. Furthermore, the effect of pension fund investment growth indirectly related to economic growth through the bank third party fund and capital market capitalization variables. The results shows that during the observation period, pension fund growth has a positive and significant effect to financial sector and economic growth. The growth of pension fund assets need to be increased so that its role in the financial sector and economic growth because increasingly evident. It is suggested that the increase in pension contributions are made through an increased accumulation of pension fund assets with membership expansion and improvement of pension fund management capabilities."

"ABSTRACTThe article addresses the impacts of remittances in recipient countries in North and Central Asia, noting the high level of dependence of many countries of the sub region on remittances. While remittances are found to produce positive short term benefits related to the reduction of transitory poverty, they also can contribute to negative impacts such as Dutch Disease, dollarization, public and private moral hazard. Few recipients make use of formal means of saving remittances, due to the lack of dedicated remittance backed products, low levels of development of and trust in the financial sector, and lack of financial literacy among recipients of remittances. Measures to address this situation are proposed and assessed for their relevance to countries of the subregion."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kebijakan anti-money laundering (AML) dan perkembangan sektor keuangan pada kelompok negara dengan tingkat korupsi tinggi dan rendah periode 2012 – 2020. Terdapat 102 negara, terdiri dari 65 negara high-corrupt dan 37 negara low-corrupt yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan indeks persepsi korupsi dari Transparency International. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi model panel data, serta regresi model panel threshold Hansen (1999) untuk mengetahui adanya efek ambang batas pada kebijakan anti-money laundering. Hasil estimasi membuktikan adanya hubungan yang positif antara kebijakan anti-money laundering dan perkembangan sektor keuangan pada kelompok negara dengan tingkat korupsi tinggi. Hal ini mengindikasikan penerapan kebijakan anti-money laundering yang efektif akan mendorong perkembangan sektor keuangan dengan tata kelola yang baik dan peningkatan reputasi sektor keuangan. Namun, pada kelompok negara dengan tingkat korupsi rendah, kebijakan anti-money laundering memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap perkembangan sektor keuangan. Hal ini mengindikasikan penerapan kebijakan anti- money laundering yang semakin ketat justru akan menghambat perkembangan sektor keuangan melalui peningkatan biaya kepatuhan. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini tidak menemukan adanya efek ambang batas pada seluruh kelompok sampel.

This study aims to identify the relationship between anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and the financial sector development in countries with high and low levels of corruption for the period 2012 – 2020. There are 102 countries, consisting of 65 high- corrupt countries and 37 low-corrupt countries, categorized based on the Corruption Perceptions Index from Transparency International. The method used is panel data regression, and panel threshold regression model by Hansen's (1999) to determine the presence of a threshold effect on AML regulations. The estimation results demonstrate a positive relationship between AML regulations and financial sector development in countries with high levels of corruption. This indicates that implementing an effective anti-money laundering regulation will encourage the financial sector development with good governance and improve the reputation of the financial sector. Conversely, in countries with low levels of corruption, AML regulations have a negative impact on financial sector development. This suggests that stricter AML regulations may hinder financial sector development due to increased compliance costs. Furthermore, this study did not find any threshold effects on AML regulation across the sample group."
