" Hasil analisis semen yang dilakukan di Bagian Biologi FKUI dari-tahun 1975 - 1980 terhadap 1000 pasangan ingin anak (PIA) menunjukkan, bahwa 32,8% dari pasangan tersebut penyebab kegagalan memperoleh anak berasal dari pihak suami (28 ). Hasil penelitian yang tidak jauh berbeda telah didapatkan oleh Shane dkk (54 ) di Amerika Serikat. Di antara PIA tersebut ada sekelompok suami yang semennya termasuk golongan normozoospermia.
