"[ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas mengenai gerakan perempuan radikal asal Ukraina bernamaFemen yang melakukan protes dengan menggunakan strategi topless. Hal menarikdalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa ide dan strategi topless tersebut mampumembawa Femen memperluas jejaring gerakan secara transnasional, khususnya dinegara-negara Eropa. Dalam proses internasionalisasi gerakan, penelitian inimenggunakan teori dari Keck & Sikkink tentang Advocacy Networks danFinnemore & Sikkink tentang International Norms. Hambatan dan tantangansering dialami selama proses internasionalisasi Femen untuk tetapmempertahankan ide dan strategi gerakan yang menganggap musuh utamanyaadalah patriarki dengan tiga manifestasinya, yaitu; kediktatoran, agama danindustri seks. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa kemunculan Femenmengindikasikan dua hal. Pertama, bahwa kesadaran perempuan terhadap opresitubuh karena sistem patriarki telah sampai pada level radikal. Kedua, bahwagerakan-gerakan yang bertujuan mengembalikan peran perempuan sebagai subjekotonom dan terlepas dari pengaruh dominasi telah menemukan titik pentingnya.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses Ukraine radical women's movement named Femen whichemploys “topless” strategy in their protests. The interesting point in this study isthat “topless” as the idea and strategy capable of conveying Femen to expand itsinfluence to transnational networks, particularly in European countries. In theprocess of movement internationalization, this study uses theories by Keck &Sikkink about “Advocacy Networks” and Finnemore & Sikkink about“International Norms.” The obstacles and the challenges are often experiencedduring the process of internationalization of Femen to retain the idea and strategythat consider patriarchy as the main enemy, with three manifestations, namely:dictatorship, religion and sex industry. Result of the study shows that theemergence of Femen indicates two things. First, the awareness of women againstoppression of the body because of the patriarchal system has arrived at the radicallevel. "ABSTRAKTubuh perempuan di dalam masyarakat patriarki dikonstruksikan berdasarkan keberadaan laki-laki. Objektifikasi ini kemudian melahirkan oposisi biner yang mengkonstruksikan tubuh perempuan sebagai yang lemah, inferior, dan submisif. Oposisi biner ini juga telah lama dipercaya melalui narasi budaya, agama, dan politik, serta menyebabkan penindasan dan eksploitasi terhadap perempuan. Namun, guna menghancurkan konstruksi ini, beberapa perempuan menggunakan tubuhnya sebagai kendaraan politik, salah satunya adalah kelompok feminis ldquo;Femen rdquo;. Guna mengeksplorasi dan memahami tubuh sebagai kendaraan politik, skripsi ini akan melibatkan teori-teori tubuh dan aksi politik dalam kaitannya dengan kekuasaan. Skripsi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Dari Skripsi ini didapatkan gambaran bahwa tubuh dapat dijadikan media penyampaian pesan dan tuntutan. Melalui bertelanjang dada, Femen berupaya untuk menumpas patriarki dan membebaskan perempuan dari narasi budaya, agama, dan politik yang misoginis. Mereka mampu menyuarakan suara perempuan yang sebelumnya tidak terdengar di Ukraina

ABSTRACTFemale body has been constructed in patriarchal society in opposition to that of the male body. This objectification of female body in patriarchal culture has created a binary opposition to both male and female. Female body is constructed as weak, inferior, and submissive towards male body. This binary finds its root deep in history, perpetuated by strict narration of sexual ideologies in culture, religion, social, and politic. It also creates the oppression and exploitation of female body that still exist today. Therefore, in order to destroy this oppressive binary and subsequent vision of female body, some women have used the female body as vehicle of political action, one of them is feminist group lsquo Femen rsquo . In pursuit of exploring and understanding the body as political vehicle, this thesis would involve theoretical decomposition the body reconstruction and political action which are understood as power. This thesis used a qualitative approach and case study methods which aims to explore and understand body protest. Moreover, the body protest can be made as media of messages and demands. Through naked body, lsquo Femen rsquo is trying to quell the patriarch and freed women from narrative culture, religion, and politically misogynist. They were able to voice of women which had not heard in Ukraine."
