"This thesis is using a non-parametric methodology, an extention of Linear Programming of what so called Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). We estimate efficiency scores for DKI Jakarta public secondary high-shcool, using data mainly for year 2004 and 2005. The input measures are constructed from the new entrance student's minimum national examination score (NEM), annual school revenue per student from the government subsidies as well as from the public, while the outputs measures are based on the national examination (UAN) score of the respective students, UAN pass rate, and the rate of students entering public universities. Using DEA we are able to separate schools that might qualify, as "performing well" from those were some improvement might be possible in terms of efficiency, and to identify the benchmarks as well as to provide the input target needed by the inefficient school in order to reallocate their resource more efficiently. Furthermore we advance the use of non-parametric rank-sum test to prove whether the population that grouped by the intensity of school revenue from public per students, would positively correlated with the level of school performance in efficient term."

"Skripsi ini ingin melakukan pengujian mengenai hipotesis efisiensi pasar setengah kuat di dalam nilai tukar tiga mata uang yaitu US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), dan Euro (EUR) terhadap Rupiah (IDR) pada periode Oktober 2003-Oktober 2008. Untuk pengujian stasioneritas diuji dengan menggunakan Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) Test dan Phillips-Perron (PP) Test. Kemudian untuk pengujian hipotesis efisiensi pasar setengah kuat (Semi-strong Efficient Market Hypothesis) diuji dengan menggunakan kointgerasi, Granger Causality Test, dan juga menggunakan Variance Decomposition Analysis. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti bahwa hubungan di antara ketiga nilai tukar mata uang tersebut belum efisien secara bentuk setengah kuat. Informasi yang terdapat di dalam peneltian ini dapat digunakan oleh regulator perekonomian mengenai kebijakan intervensi seperti apa yang harus dilakukan dan juga kepada para partisipan di dalam pasar valuta asing mengenai strategi investasi seperti apa yang sebaiknya diambil.

This research is intended to test the hypothesis on the efficiency of the semi strong market on three different foreign currencies which are US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), and Euro (EUR) towards Rupiah (IDR) in the period of October 2003 ? October 2008. The data stationerity are tested by using Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) Test and Phillips-Perron (PP) Test. The Semi-strong Efficient Market Hypothesis are tested by using cointegration, Granger Causality Test, and Variance Decomposition Analysis. This paper provide findings that show the relationship between said three currencies are not yet efficient, even in the semi strong form. Information found in this paper could be used by economics regulator to formulate what type of intervention policies needed and by participants in foreign exchanges market to create a sound investment decision.

"This research is intended to describe the efficiency level of rice agriculture in Central Java. Agribusiness approaches enable to explain the agriculture sector more comprehensively, focusing on agriculture with its backward and forward subsystems. This research employs DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) to compute efficiency level, and covers fourteen districts with land productivity above the province average level. This research finds that only four districts perform efficiency level 100 percent relative to other districts. The solution for this inefficiency problem can be achieved by employing managerial simulation generated by DEA."

"Ketersediaan dan kemudahan akses energi di daerah remote Indonesia masih belum cukup baik, hal ini merupakan suatu permasalahan yang serius. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya sistem terintegrasi yang menghasilkan multi utilitas dalam menghasilkan energi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan lokal. Sistem poligenerasi merupakan salah satu jawaban dari tantangan tersebut yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini.
Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perbandingan antara efisiensi energi pada sistem pembangkit listrik berbahan bakar gas yang beroperasi secara standalone dibandingkan dengan menggunakan sistem poligenerasi yang dapat menghasilkan multi utilitas berdasarkan analisis teknis dan ekonomi. Utilitas yang dihasilkan berupa energi listrik, pendingin dan pemanas. Sistem poligenerasi ini disimulasikan dengan perangkat lunak Unisim Design R390.1 dan dianalisis secara tekno-ekonomi.
Hasil yang diperolah menunjukkan bahwa sistem poligenerasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi sistem pembangkit listrik sebesar 26,89% dari efisiensi pembangkit listrik standalone  32,9% menjadi 59,7% setelah mengimplementasikan sistem poligenerasi serta menurunkan tarif listrik pembangkit standalone dibandingkan dengan skema bisnis Special Purpose Company dengan Insentif Finansial dan Insentif Fiskal (SPC IFN IFC) sebesar 36,2%.

The availability and easy of energy access in Indonesias remote areas are still not good enough, this is a serious problem. Therefore it is necessary to have an integrated system that produces multi-utility in producing energy to meet local needs. The polygeneration system is one of the answers to the challenges discussed in this study.
In this study a comparison between energy efficiency in a gas-fired power plant system that operates in a standalone operation compared to a polygeneration system that can produce multi-utility based on technical and economic analysis. The output utilities are electricity, cooling and heating. This polygeneration system is simulated with Unisim Design R390.1 software and analyzed technically and economically.
The results showed that the polygeneration system could increase the efficiency of the power generation system by 26.89% from the efficiency of the standalone power plant 32.9% to 59.7% after implementing the polygeneration system as well as reducing the standalone generator electricity tariff compared to the Special Purpose Company scheme with Financial Incentives and Fiscal Incentives (SPC IFN IFC) of 36.2%.

"Parabolic solar concentrator merupakan salah satu pemanas air tenaga surya yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk membangkitkan uap air dengan temperatur yang tinggi. Prinsip kerja parabolic solar concentrator yaitu mengkonsentrasikan panas matahari yang didapat oleh optik ke satu titik. Keberhasilan suatu eksperimen, diuji dengan efisiensinya. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian untuk mencari nilai efisiensi optimum dari parabolic solar concentrator dengan variasi laju aliran air. Pengujian meliputi pengukuran laju aliran air, irradiasi matahari dan temperatur fluida air.
Pengujian dilakukan dengan merangkai 2 panel parabolic solar concentrator menjadi rangkaian seri. Dengan data-data yang didapat dari pengujian akan didapatkan besarnya efisiensi tiap panel dan perbandingan efisiensi antara panel 1 dan panel 2. Kemudian hasil dari nilai efisiensi pengujian akan dibandingkan dengan hasil efisiensi perhitungan secara teoritis Efisiensi suatu alat berbasis radiasi matahari sangat bervariasi bergantung pada banyak faktor diantaranya yaitu besarnya irradiasi yang diterima panel, temperatur inlet dan bentuk parabolic solar concentrator itu sendiri baik dari segi dimensi maupun meterial yang digunakan. Dari variasi laju aliran air didapatkan hasil persamaan efisiensi masing-masing aliran berbeda-beda.
Efisiensi optimum didapat dari pengujian dengan laju aliran 0.5 LPM dengan persamaan efisiensi η = 0.41-16.02 ∆T/I. Sedangkan perbedaan temperatur tertinggi yang dihasilkan oleh parabolic solar concentrator ini didapat dari pengujian dengan laju aliran 0,1 LPM dengan ∆T sebesar 22,2oC. Pada waktu pengujian dengan laju aliran 0,1 LPM, temperatur outlet tertinggi yang terbaca pada termometer panel 1sebesar 83,30C. Dari hasil pengujian dengan membandingkan kedua panel didapat bahwa efisiensi dari panel 1 lebih tinggi dari panel 2 yang keduanya disusun seri. Hasil perhitungan dari efisiensi analitik memiliki nilai yang lebih tinggi dari hasil experimen, namun keduanya memiliki kecenderungannya sama.

Parabolic solar concentrator is one of the solar water heater that capable to generate a high temperature steam. The principle of parabolic solar concentrator is to concentrate solar from the sun by optic to vocus in one point. An experiment Succesfully tested by it’s efficiency. The aim from this experiment is to obtain the optimum efficiency from parabolic solar concentrator with variating water mass flow. The Experiment include measuring water mass flow, sun irradiation and fluid water temperature.
On experimental testing method, two parabolic solar concentrator panel is combinated to a series. The result data’s from the experiment is efficiency in each panel and efficiency comparing between panel 1 and panel 2. Then, the result efficiency from the experiment will be compare with the efficiency from the analitic method.
The Efficiency is various influenced by many factor, radiation is one of them. Others factor are inlet temperature and shape of parabolic solar concentrator due to material and dimension. From variating spesific flow rate can be obtain the efficiency equation from each spesific flow rate. With the flow rate 0.5 LPM can get the optimum efficiency. The efficiency from this flow rate is η = 0.41-16.02 ∆T/I. The maksimum temperature difference that produce from this parabolic solar concentrator is get from the experiment with flow rate 0,1 LPM. The ∆T from this flow rate is 2,2oC. From the experiment, efficiency from panel 1 is higher that panel 2 with series form. The efficiency from analitic method give higher value than experiment method.
