"Maple Syrup Urine Disease is a disparity of leusin decarboxilation and isoleusin of valin defect that is synthesized with complex enzyme systems. It is a rare disease and represents disparity. In some cases can generate ketosis that grows according to health change and can cause comma. Dental treatment of a child with Maple Syrup Urine Disease was not clearly mentioned, there is only a factor such as infection which is very dangerous at any age and can generate irregular metabolism. Dental treatment of a child with Maple Syrup Urine Disease accompanied by mental retardation must to be done continuously to avoid infections that can result the death of the patient."

"ABSTRAK
Asthma is a common chronic inflammatory condition of the lung airways whose cause is incompletely understood. A variety of disorders can result in asthma. The most common is an inheritet immunologic abnormality that allows inhalet antigens (allergens) to trigger a hypersensitivy response mediated by immunoglobulin E (Ig F) and thus produce bronchial narrowing. The circumstances leading to an episode of asthma should be analyzed to identify possible precipitating factors. In oral infection focus may be important in precipitating attacks. Asthma medications can contibute to xerostomia making individuals who use medications more susceptible to caries and periodontal disease. The goal of the dental management of the patient asthma is to avoid precipitating an acute attack. Report of case: Oral treatment for an elamination of the causes of infection focus for girls at 11 years old."

"Dental implants have become an accepted form of permanent tooth replacement. Successful dental implant treatment requires knowledge of the precise location in connection with critical structures in maxillae and mandible. Injury to the nerve canal or perforation of maxillary antrum can cause paresthesia or antral infection that may leads to failure of the treatment. Measuring the height and width of residual alveolar ridge is necessary to select the appropriately sized implant as well as to assure the adequacy of bone. Presurgical radiographic evaluation of dental implants plays very important role in the success of implant treatment procedure. Various imaging modalities from conventional intraoral radiographs to more sophisticated and modern ones can be used for this purpose. The conventional imaging modalities have very limitted diagnostic information in accordance with details and accurate in bone evaluation of the implants sites. On the other hand, modern imaging modalities such as Dental CT have been proven to produce excellent image either for measuring or detailed evaluating the sites. Selecting the appropriate imaging modality will be one of the key to success in dental implant treatment."

Congenital heart disease is a condition of heart anomaly found since birth. The most common is ventricular septal defect whereby an aperture is found in the partition of heart chamber. It is estimated that 40,000 newborn in Indonesia have this defective condition. Dental treatment for patient with such condition must be undertaken in a very cautious way. Tooth with multiple caries can potentially lead to endocarditis bacteria. As such, dentist must be watchful on dental treatment that may worsen the patient's condition. To prevent endocarditis bacteria, a prophylaxis antibiotic is required as recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA). In this particular case, a dental treatment was undertaken to a child patient with congenital heart disease. Previously, the patient has undergone dental treatment in the form of multiple extraction under general anesthesia before conducting cardiac surgery. ln this case the treatment includes mortal pulpotomy, GIC restoration, and fissure sealant - all conducted in one visit under general anesthesia. After a year after the treatment,here are no complaint from the patient and no irregularity in x-ray results."

"Dalam tesis ini dilakukan desain template pada klasifikasi bentuk lengkung gigi menggunakan regresi kuadratik. Desain template ini sangat diperlukan untuk membedakan 3 bentuk lengkung gigi yaitu Tapered, Ovoid, dan Square. Ketiga bentuk lengkung gigi tersebut mempunyai kemiripan sangat dekat sehingga dilakukan suatu desain template yang lebih spesifik agar didapat hasil klasifikasi yang baik. Dasar dari pembentukkan desain template bentuk lengkung gigi adalah lebar interkaninus, tinggi interkaninus, dan tinggi intennolar. Pengklasifikasian berdasarkan 3 variabel itu menjadi lebih baik dibandingkan hanya dengan template tunggal. Desain template dibagi dalam 4 skenario. Pertama, rahang atas dan rahang bawah. Kedua, rasio dari tinggi kaninus dan lebar kaninus. Ketiga, lebar kaninus dan keempat, rasio dari tinggi intennolar dan lebar interkaninus Metode yang digunakan pada desain template ini adalah metode regresi kuadratik. Sedangkan proses klasifikasi bentuk lengkung gigi menggunakan metode least square loss function. Uji coba dilakukan terhadap 120 citra gigi yang didapat dari beberapa klinik gigi di Jakarta. Hasil klasifikasi dari desain template yang diusulkan mempunyai akurasi 16,6% lebih baik dibandingkan dengan desain template tunggal. Desain template ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam menentukan klasifikasi bentuk lengkung gigi dari citra model cetakan gigi sehingga dapat membuat diagnosa guna perencanaan perawatan yang tepat.

In this thesis, template design of dental arch classification is accomplished using quadiatic regression. This template design is required to differ 3 types of dental arch, namely: Tapered, Ovoid, and Square. These 3 types of the dental arch has close similarity among them, therefore a more specific template design is needed in order to obtain the better classification result. The parameters of the dental arch template design are the width of intercanine, height of intercanine, and the height of intermolar. The classification based on those 3 variables yields better results than the classification based only single template. The template design is divided into 4 scenarios: (1) the upper jaw & mandible (2) height-width ratio of intercanine, (3) width of intercanine, and (4) ratio of intermolar height - width intercanine. The method used in this template design is quadratic regression method. Meanwhile, the classification of dental arch form uses least square loss fiinction method. An experiment involves 120 dental images obtained from several dental clinic in Jakarta. The classification results using proposed template design yield accuracy 16,6% better than the classification using single template. This template design is supposed to assist the decision process of classification dental arch fonn from the model image of dental mold, so the diagnosis can be obtained for convenient dental treatment."
