"The human population is heterogenous and consist of popolations of immense ethnic diversity.There are considerable allelic differences between human populations as well as individuals within each ethnic group as a result of molecular heterogeneity of the genome.This,in turn,is responsible for differential allelic expression of genes endowing then with polymorphic characters. The molecular diversity within genes is responsible amongst others, of disease resistance or susceptibility or for that matter drug response. Pharmacogenomics is the key to the understanding of diferential drug response in different patient in relation to genetic constitution. "ABSTRAKEsok Hari ??Mingtian adalah salah satu karya sastra yang dikemas dalam bentuk cerita pendek yang ditulis oleh penulis Cina Lu Xun pada tahun 1920. Cerita Esok Hari nampak sederhana, namun dibalik itu semua terdapat karakter dari para tokoh menjadi hal yang membuat cerita ini menjadi menarik untuk dikaji. Cerpen ini menceritakan tentang kehidupan seorang janda dan anaknya serta hadir sosok tetangga yang menyelimuti kisah hidup mereka. Makalah ini tidak hanya membahas bagaimana Lu Xun menggambarkan kehidupan seorang janda dan anaknya melalui tokoh-tokoh yang ia ciptakan, tapi juga mengkaji bagaimana Lu Xun mengembangkan alur cerita sehingga dapat terlihat bagaimana akhir dari cerita tersebut.

The story remains to be the simple one, but the the characters in the story make the story become interesting to analyzed. The story tells about the life of a widow and her child with character and thought also appear her neighbor rsquo s character around on her and her child rsquo s life. This paper not only describes about how Lu Hsun shows the life of a widow and her child through the characters, but also discusses about how Lu Xun plays up the plot, so that the endings of this story can be seen."

"Media memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk persepsi masyarakat terhadap agen penegak hukum. Selama beberapa dekade, mayoritas film bergenre kriminal menggambarkan agen laki-laki sebagai karakter utama dalam film sedangkan karakter perempuan jarang muncul sebagai karakter utama dan peran mereka mayoritas merupakan karakter pendukung yang mengalami stereotip dan diskriminasi di tempat kerja mereka. Namun, The Heat menjadi sebuah terobosan dalam film bergenre kriminal sebab film ini menggambarkan karakter wanita sebagai karakter utama. Artikel ini akan menganalisis resistensi karakter utama wanita terhadap tokoh-tokoh pria menggunakan teori resistensi sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kedua karakter utama melakukan resistensi sepanjang alur film dengan menggunakan berbagai cara seperti menggunakan sarkasme, penerimaan, dan penghindaran. Sebagai hasilnya, resistensi yang dilakukan oleh karakter utama wanita menyebabkan dampak yang berbeda pada masing-masing karakter.

Media has important role of shaping society's perception toward law enforcement agent. For decades, crime movie genre mostly shows male agents as the main character of the movie while women characters rarely appear as the lead character and their role are mostly as supporting characters who suffer some stereotypes and discriminations in their workplace. However, The Heat becomes a breakthrough in crime genre movie since it portrays women characters as the leading characters. This article will explore the main female characters' resistance toward male characters using everyday resistance theory. The result shows that both main characters have done resistance along the movie by using some ways, for example, using sarcasm, acceptance, and avoidance. As the result, the resistance which is done by the main female characters cause different impact to the ending of each character."

"ABSTRAKFilm Balada Awan dan Air merupakan film yang menceritakan kisah cinta tokoh perempuan Wang Biyun dan tokoh laki-laki Chen Qiushui pada masa lalu dengan latar sejarah Cina dan Taiwan tahun 1950-an. Kisah cinta mereka kembali diangkat setelah keponakan dari Wang Biyun, yaitu Wang Xiaorui berniat untuk menulis novel tentangnya. Akan tetapi, tokoh Wang Xiaorui dianggap tidak banyak berperan dalam kisah film ini karena hanya muncul dalam beberapa adegan singkat saja. Namun, kehadiran tokoh Wang Xiaorui justru tidak boleh disepelekan. Oleh karenanya, jurnal ini akan membahas dari segi penokohan dan alur untuk mengungkap seberapa jauh peran Wang Xiaorui dalam kisah film Balada Awan dan Air ini.

ABSTRACTThe Knot Cloud and Water Ballad movie is a film about the love story of female character Wang Biyun and the male character Chen Qiushui in the past Chinese and Taiwanese history of the 1950s. Their love story is reappointed after Wang Biyun 39 s niece, Wang Xiaorui has a desire to write a novel about her. However,Wang Xiaorui is cosidered only roles a little in the story of this movie because she appears in only a few scenes. Nevertheless, the character Wang Xiaorui should not be ignored. Therefore, this journal will discuss in terms of characterizations and plot to reveal how far the role of Wang Xiaorui in the story of this The Knot Cloud and Water Ballad movie. "

"ABSTRAKAsteraceae merupakan famili tumbuhan terbesar di dunia dan tumbuh tersebar di seluruh bagian bumi, kecuali Antartika. Lingkungan Universitas Indonesia merupakan salah satu habitat ditemukannya Asteraceae. Beberapa penelitian telah dilakukan terhadap famili tersebut, tetapi penelitian anatomi masih perlu dilakukan terhadap 6 tribe Asteraceae di kampus UI, yaitu Astereae, Cichorieae, Coreopsideae, Inuleae, Senecioneae, dan Tageteae. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan karakter anatomi batang atau tangkai bunga pada keenam tribe tersebut. Preparat sayatan anatomi dari 6 spesies Asteraceae disiapkan dengan teknik non parafin menggunakan hand-sliding microtome dan diamati dengan bantuan mikroskop cahaya. Karakter anatomi dianalisis dengan membandingkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data kuantitatif untuk tebal kutikula, panjang dan lebar sel epidermis, jumlah lapisan epidermis, tebal epidermis, panjang dan lebar sel kolenkim korteks, jumlah lapisan korteks kolenkim, tebal korteks kolenkim, panjang dan lebar sel parenkim korteks, jumlah lapisan korteks parenkim, tebal korteks parenkim, jumlah berkas pembuluh, panjang dan lebar berkas pembuluh, serta diameter empulur, secara umum tidak menunjukkan adanya karakter pembeda pada tingkat spesies atau tribe. Hasil serupa juga ditemukan dalam beberapa karakter kualitatif seperti bentuk sel epidermis, bentuk sel kolenkim korteks, bentuk sel parenkim korteks, tipe berkas pembuluh, dan bentuk sel parenkim empulur. Namun, beberapa karakter kualitatif, yaitu tipe kutikula, trikom, sel sekretori, rongga pada empulur, dan kristal kalsium oksalat menunjukkan adanya potensi untuk digunakan sebagai karakter pembeda pada tingkat spesies dan/atau tribe.

ABSTRACTAsteraceae is the largest plant family in the world and grows scattered throughout the earth, except Antarctica. Universitas Indonesia is one of the habitats of Asteraceae. Several studies have been conducted on the family, but anatomical studies still need to be done on 6 tribes of Asteraceae on UI campus, Astereae, Cichorieae, Coreopsideae, Inuleae, Senecioneae, and Tageteae. The study aimed to describe and compare the anatomical character of stems or flower stalks in the six tribes. The cross section anatomy of 6 Asteraceae species were prepared by the non paraffin technique using hand sliding microtome and observed with the aid of a light microscope. Anatomical characters were analyzed by comparing qualitative and quantitative data. Results of quantitative data analysis for cuticle thickness, the length and width of epidermal cells, the number of epidermal layers, epidermal thickness, the length and width of the cortex collenchyma cells, the number of cortex collenchyma layers, cortex collenchyma thickness, the length and width of the cortex parenchyma cells, the number of cortex parenchyma layers, the number of vascular bundle, the length and width of the vascular bundle, as well as the pith diameter, generally do not show any distinguishing character at the species or tribe level. Similar result are also found in some qualitative character such as epidermal cell shape, cortex collenchyma cell shape, cortex parenchyma cell shape, vascular bundle type, and pith parenchyma cell shape. However, some qualitative characters including the cuticle type, trichomes, secretory cells, pith cavities, and calcium oxalate crystals suggest potential for use as distinguishing characters at the species and or tribe levels."
