Maka perlu meningkatkan program Behavior Based Safety dan memastikan pekerja konsisten dalam penerapan program Behavior Based Safety.

The 'Behavior Based Safety' program is designed to protect workers from hazards and prevent work accidents. Despite the positive goals, implementation of these programs has often been met with challenges, including lack of participation and resistance by some workers. This study aims to examine various aspects related to the 'Behavior Based Safety' program from program implementation, analysis of accident trends, the influence of attitudes and behavior on the implementation of the 'Behavior Based Safety' program for Occupational Accidents. This research was conducted at PT. X with locations in several regions in Indonesia, between April and July 2023. The study involved 299 employees from various types of services in 35 locations of PT. X. program was assessed by analyzing accident data during the period FY15-FY16 and FY18-FY20. This study uses a descriptive analysis approach involving primary data obtained through questionnaires, measuring attitudes and behavior related to this program. Secondary data is also used to support this research. Data were analyzed using various statistical methods, including univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. In implementing the 'Behavior Based Safety' program, respondents had several good/bad attitudes and behaviors that were not significantly different or significantly different. Most of the respondents had a good attitude towards safety walk, safety observation and near-missed report and most of the respondents had good attitude towards risk assessment, safe system of work and training & supervision. The results of this study prove that the Behavior Based Safety program statistically has an effect on the number of work accidents, but the attitude and behavior of workers implementing the program has no significant effect on the occurrence of work accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to enchance the Behavior Based Safety program and ensure that employees are consistent in implementing the Behavior Based Safety program."

"Data ILO 2 juta pekerja meninggal per tahun. 2021 ada 234 ribu kecelakaan kerja di Indonesia. Industri kimia 12% dari2 019-2021 kecelakaan kerja 80.607 kasus.Program Behavior-based safety (BBS) yaitu pendekatan keselamatan berdasarkan perilaku manusia.

According to ILO data, 2 million workers die per year. In 2021 there will be 234 thousand work accidents in Indonesia. Chemical industry 12% from 2019-2021 work accidents 80,607 cases. Behavior-based safety (BBS) program, namely a safety approach based on human behavior. An approach to increasing employee awareness, involvement, and responsibility creates a safe work environment. Whether the BBS program in the company is able to increase employee compliance levels and change work safety behavior. The research was carried out using quantitative research methods, a type of cross sectional study. The data collected provides an overview of the relationship between variables. A cross-sectional research design was used to collect data regarding the Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program, the level of compliance with work safety behavior, and work safety behavior at PT. X at a certain point in time. Data were collected through questionnaires filled out by respondents. Variations in compliance level values were able to be explained by variations in BBS program values of 14.3%, while the remaining 85.7% were explained by variations in other variables outside the research model. Variations in employee safety behavior values can be explained by variations in BBS Program values and compliance levels of 49.6%, while the remaining 50.4% are explained by variations in other variables outside the research model. There is a positive and significant relationship between the BBS Program and Compliance Levels. There is a positive and significant relationship between the BBS Program and Work Safety Behavior. There is a positive and significant relationship between the level of compliance and safety behavior. The relationship between the BBS Program and work safety behavior has a direct influence. Therefore, the intervening variable Compliance Level does not mediate the relationship between the BBS Program and Work Safety Behavior"

The Study of Implementation Behavior Based Safety using STOP Program at BP Indonesia Observed from the Input-Process-Output AspectsMost of the industrial accidents were caused by at risk behavior, According to the study carried out by Dupont reported that 96% of the total accidents were caused by at risk behavior.
Accident ratio study also reported that every serious or major injury was resulted from the accumulation of 10 minor injuries, while 10 minor injuries were resulted from the accumulation of 30 property damage accidents, and the 30 property damage accidents were resulted from the accumulation of 600 incidents with no visible injury or damage. The incidents with no visible injury or damage are categorized as near miss or at risk behavior. If we control the at risk behavior successfully, the major injury will not happen. (Frank E. Bird, Jr. & George L. Germain, Practical Loss Control Leadership, 1990:21).
We realize that all jobs whether it is potential to create accident or not, all are performed by human. The specific think on the human, which can create accident, is their behavior.
The Traditional Safety Management has successfully decreasing the rate of accident. However as some of the most common and severe accidents were eliminated, the results from the traditional methods began to plateau and company looked up for new ways to address the remaining accidents. This remaining accidents or residual accidents will be controlled through the behavior based safety approaches.
The intention of this study is to observe the relationship of Input-Process-Output aspects on applying the behavior based safety using STOP Program at BP Indonesia.
So the problems that arise on applying STOP Program can be identified for continual improvement.
This study is an evaluation study with qualitative approach, the primary data was obtained from the questioners and the secondary data was obtained from the HSE Department-BP Indonesia.
The result of this study is primarily on the quality of behavior observation. The study indicates that the number of observation was increasing but the number of accident was also increasing. Positive Interaction Skill training should be designed and delivered to all workforces so the process of interaction during observation could result in improved behavior modification, which is relatively permanent.
