Limbah batik dapat menaikkan Total Suspended Solid (TSS) air sehingga melebihi baku mutu. Salah satu teknik yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi Total Suspended Solid adalah dengan flotasi gelembung. Efektifitas flotasi gelembung tergantung dari tiga hal, yaitu probabilitas tumbukan antara gelembung dengan partikel, proses partikel menempel pada permukaan gelembung dan proses partikel dibawa oleh gelembung.
