Penelitian ini mengangkat peran organisasi perempuan Aceh di tengah konflik Aceh yang didominasi oleh kelompok laki-laki. Peran mereka adalah pemberdayaan perempuan, advokasi dan investigasi perempuan korban konflik. Selain itu, dilakukan pemberdayaan ekonomi, advokasi kebijakan, dan penanganan perempuan di pengungsian.
