"Penelitian ini membahas majas metafora dalam album Wadachi oleh SPYAIR. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa metafora digunakan untuk mempermudah penutur mengungkapkan maksudnya. Namun demikian, metafora menjadi hal yang sulit bagi pengguna atau pembelajar bahasa asing untuk dapat memahami maksud penutur. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori majas metafora oleh Gorys Keraf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui majas metafora dan bagaimana pengaplikasiannya dalam lirik lagu berbahasa Jepang. Tujuan selanjutnya adalah untuk menganalisis makna di balik lirik lagu serta mengetahui tema dan konotasi dominan yang digunakan dalam lirik lagu yang terdapat pada album SPYAIR yang berjudul Wadachi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif terhadap seluruh lirik lagu yang berjumlah 6 lagu yang terdapat dalam album Wadachi. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 23 metafora yang ditemukan dalam keenam lirik lagu tersebut. Selain itu, ada 4 tema dan 3 konotasi berbeda di dalamnya. Tema kehidupan dan konotasi negatif menjadi tema dan konotasi dominan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini.

This paper discusses the metaphorical figure found in SPYAIR's song lyrics in "Wadachi" album. The problem in this study is that the metaphorical figure are used to make it easier for speakers to express their intention. However, the metaphorical figure are difficult for foreigner or language learners to understand the speaker's intention. This research uses theory of metaphorical figure by Gorys Keraf. The purpose of this study is to determine the metaphorical figure and how it is applied in Japanese song lyrics. The further purpose of this study is to analize the connotation behind the song lyrics and to find out the dominant figure of metaphor used in the lyrics that included in SPYAIR songs. This research uses descriptive analysis method of all the song lyrics which amount to 6 songs that vi Universitas Indonesia included in the Wadachi album. The analysis shows that there are 23 metaphorical figures are found in those six song lyrics. Besides, there are 4 themes and 3 different conotations of them. In addition, there are 4 themes and 3 different connotations in it. The theme of life and negative connotation is the dominant theme and dominant connotations found in this study."
