"Polianthes tuberosa L. is a potential flowering plant to be developed in Jatinangor, but, the type of soil in
Jatinangor belongs to Fluventic Eutrudepts has a lower of pH, medium of available K and potential K. New
strategy is needed to resolve these problems such as by adding the organic and an-organic fertilizer. This research
was conducted to determine the effect of the combination organic fertilizer and NPK on soil reaction (pH),
available K, Potential K, and fresh weight of tuberose (Polyanthes tuberose L.) on Fluventic Eutrudepts. The
research design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) with ten treatments and three replications, consist of:
without organic fertilizer + NPK (control); without organic fertilizer + recommended dosage of NPK;
recommended dosage of organic fertilizer + without NPK; ½ recommended dosage of organic fertilizer + ½
recommended dosage of NPK; ½ recommended dosage of organic fetilizer + recommended dosage of NPK;
recommended dosage of organic fetilizer + ½ recommended dosage of NPK; without organic fertilizer + 1 ½
recommended dosage of NPK; 1 ½ recommended dosage of organic fertilizer + without NPK; 1 ½ recommended
dosage of organic fertilizer + ½ recommended dosage of NPK; 1 ½ recommended dosage of organic fertilizer +
recommended dosage of NPK. The results show that there were effect of soil reaction (pH), available P, potential
P, and fresh weight of tuberose from combination of organic fetilizer and NPK. Treatments of 1 ½ recommended
dosage of organic fertilizer + without NPK gives the best results of 148,6 g plant-1 with an increase 63,2%
compared with no treatment.
Sedap malam (Polianthes tuberosa L.) merupakan tanaman hias berbunga indah yang sangat potensial
dikembangkam salah satunya di Jatinagor. Tanah di Jatinangor yang termasuk ke dalam sub group Fluventic
Eutrudepts mempunyai reaksi tanah agak masam, K-potensial sedang, K-dd sedang, dan KTK rendah, sehingga
perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkannya yang salah satunya dengan pemupukan. Percobaan dilakukan untuk
mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi pupuk organik dan pupuk NPK terhadap K-potensial, K-dd, KTK dan
bobot segar tanaman sedap malam (Polyanthes tuberosa L.) pada Fluventic Eutrudepts. Rancangan percobaan
yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal dengan sepuluh perlakuan dan tiga
ulangan, yaitu terdiri dari : Tanpa pupuk organik + pupuk NPK (kontrol); Tanpa pupuk organik + dosis anjuran
NPK; Dosis anjuran pupuk organik + tanpa pupuk NPK; ½ dosis anjuran pupuk organik + ½ dosis anjuran NPK;
½ dosis anjuran pupuk organik + dosis anjuran NPK; Dosis anjuran pupuk organik + ½ dosis anjuran NPK; Tanpa
pupuk organik + 1 ½ dosis anjuran NPK; 1 ½ dosis anjuran pupuk organik + tanpa pupuk NPK; 1 ½ dosis anjuran
pupuk organik + ½ dosis anjuran NPK; 1 ½ dosis anjuran pupuk organik + dosis anjuran NPK. Hasil penelitian
menunjukan terdapat pengaruh terhadap K-potensial, K-dd, KTK dan bobot segar tanaman sedap malam akibat
pemberian kombinasi pupuk organik dan pupuk NPK. Perlakuan 1 ½ dosis anjuran pupuk organik + tanpa pupuk
NPK memberikan bobot segar tanaman sedap malam terbaik sebesar 148,6 g tanaman-1 dengan kenaikan bobot
segar 63,2% dibandingkan dengan tanpa perlakuan."

"Penelitian mengenai produksi biomassa Mastigocladus HS-46 pada medium NPK dengan penambahan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak tauge dalam sistem flat photobioreactor telah dilakukan. Optimalisasi kandungan makronutrien medium NPK sebagai pengganti Bold's Basal Medium (BBM) untuk menumbuhkan cyanobacteria dapat melalui penambahan kandungan ekstrak tauge. Mastigocladus HS-46 diisolasi dari sumber air panas Maribaya pada suhu lingkungan 42 oC. Medium yang digunakan untuk menumbuhkan Mastigocladus HS-46 terdiri atas medium BBM sebagai kontrol dan medium NPK 350 ppm dengan penambahan konsentrasi ekstrak tauge 1%, 2%, dan 3%. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak tauge dalam medium NPK 350 ppm dan medium BBM terhadap produksi biomassa Mastigocladus HS-46. Selain itu, penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar lipid Mastigocladus HS-46 dalam medium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan medium NPK 350 ppm dengan penambahan ekstrak tauge 3% menghasilkan berat biomassa dan lipid tertinggi Mastigocladus HS-46 dibandingkan dengan medium BBM dan NPK 350 ppm dengan penambahan ekstrak tauge 2% dan 1%. Medium NPK 350 ppm dengan penambahan ekstrak tauge 3% menghasilkan berat biomassa tertinggi sebesar 0,1632 g/mL dengan kadar lipid tertinggi sebesar 62 %.

Research on Mastigocladus HS-46 biomass production on NPK medium with the addition of bean sprout extract with varying concentrations in flat photobioreactor system has been done. Optimization of the macronutrient content as a replacement to the Bold's Basal Medium (BBM) for cyanobacteria cultivation can be done with the use of bean sprout extract. Mastigocladus HS-46 was isolated from Maribaya Hot Spring at the temperature of 42 °C. The mediums used for Mastigocladus cultivation are BBM as control, and NPK mediums with the addition of bean sprout extract of 1%, 2% and 3% concentrations for the experimental group. The purpose of his research is to understand the effect of BBM and bean sprout extract addition with varying concentrations in 350 ppm NPK medium on Mastigocladus HS-46 biomass production. This research also aims to determine differences in the lipid content of Mastigocladus HS-46 in mediums. The results showed that 350 ppm NPK medium with 3% bean sprout extract addition produces the highest amount of biomass and lipid compared to the BBM and 350 ppm NPK medium with 2% and 1% bean sprout extract addition, producing 0,1632 g/ml of biomass and containing 62% lipid."

"Cyphomandra betacea Mart. Et. Sendt. yang dikenal dengan nama terong betanda atau terong tamarillo merupakan salah satu jenis buah yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di Indonesia. Masyarakat di Brastagi dan Tana Toraja telah memanfaatkannya sebagai bahan baku industri makanan dan minuman seperti selai, jus, dan sirup. Pembudidayaan terong tamarillo diarahkan pada program intensiflkasi yang menuntut ketersediaan bibit siap tanam bcrumur 2-3 bulan. Bibit yang berkualitas dapat dihasilkan melalui tahap pembibitan yang memperhatikan kebutuhan unsur hara melalui pemupukan. Untuk mengetahui kadar pupuk NPK yang tepat telah dilakukan penelitian di rumah kaca Departcmcn Biologi FMIPA-Ul pada bulan Febmari sampai dengan Mei 2003 menggunakan pupuk NPK dengan perbandingan N:P:K masing-masing 5:6:6. Peneliiian bersifat eksperimenial menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap terdiri alas 5 perlakuan, yaitu kadar 0; 0,2; 0.4; 0.6; dan 0,8 g/ 1 kg media' tanaman. Pemberian pupuk dengan cara tugal (7 cm dan batang) sebanyak 6 kali dengan interval waktu 15 hari. sejak hari ke-35 sampai hari ke-110 setelah penanaman biji. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pemberian pupuk NPK kadar 0,2-0,6 g/kg media meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman dibandingkan dengan tanaman konirol (0 g), sedangkan pemberian NPK 0,8 g/kg media menyebabkan penurunan rerala seluruh parameter penumbulian yang diukur. Perlakuan kadar 0,6 g/kg media menunjukkan rerata tertinggi untuk jumlah daun (9 helai), luas daun (670.8 cm2), panjang akar (15,375 cm), volume akar (3,188 ml), berat basah (=BB) tanaman (27,25 g). berat kerins (=BK) tanaman (1,412 g), BB tajuk (24,537 g), BK tajuk (0.993 g), BB akar (2,712 g), dan BK akar (0,419 g). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa 0,6 g NPK/ kg media/ tanaman merupakan kadar yang sesuai bagi pertumbuhan bibit tanaman terong tamariHo.

Cyphomandra betacea Mart. Et. Sendt known as tamarillo has become a potential fruit to be developed in Indonesia. People in Brastagi and Tana Toraja have used tamarillo as raw material for food and beverages such as jam. juice and lemonade. Crop improvement of tamariHo is focused on intensification program which needs availability of 2-3 months of seedlings. Good quality seedlings can be obtained by sequential seedling, that focus on nutrient requirement through fertilizer application. To determine the right dose of NPK. research has been done under green house condition from February until May 2003 using NPK fertilizer with a ratio of 5:6:6 respectively. The research design was a completely randomized design with five treatments, which are 0; 0.2; 0.4; 0.6; and 0.8 g/1 kg media. Fertilizer was applied by burying the NPK 7 cm away from the stem, 6 times with 15 days interval, starting from the 35th day until 110th day after sowing. Analysis show that NPK with a dose of 0.2 - 0.6 g/kg media increased plant growth compared to control (0 g), while NPK 0.8 g/kg media caused a decrease in all growth parameters. Treatment 0.6 g/kg of NPK showed the highest average for leaf number (9), leaf area (670,8 cm2), root length (15,375 cm), root volume (3,188 ml), plant fresh weight (=FW) (27,25 g), plant dry weight (-DW) (1,412 g), canopy FW (24,537 g), canopy DW (0,993 g), root FW {2,712 g), and root DW (6,419 g). Therefore, it can be concluded that 0.6 g NPK /kg media/plant was the right dose for growth of tamarillo seedlings."

"The objectives of this research were (i) to identity the ffects of combination of compound fertilizers of NPK (25:7:7) and package NPK (10:55:10) on vegetative growth Adenium obesum in stead of Japanese frangipani plant, and (ii) to obtain the best combination of dose of NPK (25:7:7) and package NPK (10:55:10) in order to improve plant vegetative growth of Adenium obesum. This expreriment was conducted in employed completely random design with factorial pattern of 4x4 and three times repetition. Factor I, the dose of NPK (25:7:7) fertilizer in 4 levels of dose: 0.0 g/L; 0.5 g/L; 1.0 g/L; and 1.5 g/L. Meanwhile, factor II, the dose of package NPK (10:55:10) was applied with 4 levels of dose: 0.0 g/L; 0.5 g/L; 1.0 g/L; and 1.5 g/L. The data obtained were analyzed using variance analysis (ANOVA) technique to identity the influence of the treatment towards variables measured and mean separation was evaluated using DMRT with 5% level of difference. The results show that the use of combination of compound fertilizers NPK (25:7:7) and package NPK (10:55:10) improves plant vegetative growth of Adenium obesum. However, the use of combination of NPK 0.0 g/L and package NPK 0.5 g/L shows unsatisfactory results. The cobination of NPK .5 g/L and package NPK 1.5 g/L provides the best result in improving plant vegetative growth of Adenium obesum."

"Untuk meningkatkan efektifitas penggunaan pupuk pada media tanam, dilakukan modifikasi terhadap pupuk sehingga menjadi pupuk lepas lambat. Dalam penelitian ini, pupuk NPK yang disintesis mengandung urea, amonium dihidrogen fosfat, dan kalium dihidrogen fosfat. Enkapsulasi pupuk NPK menggunakan hidrogel semi interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) berbasis kitosan dan polistirena dilakukan dengan metode in situ loading dan post loading. Komposisi hidrogel kitosan-polistirena semi-IPN yang digunakan terdiri dari kitosan : stirena yaitu 80:20 dan menggunakan agen pengikat silang 5% asetaldehid 0,1 M. Karakterisasi pembentukan hidrogel kitosan-polistirena semi-IPN dan hidrogel kitosan dilakukan menggunakan spektorfotometri Fourier Tramsform Infrared (FTIR) dan mikroskop stereo. Uji pendahuluan seperti rasio sweliing dan derajat ikat silang juga diselidiki. Efisiensi laoding pupuk NPK dengan metode in situ loading mencapai 92.96% lebih besar daripada metode post loading yaitu 48.91% diukur dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Studi pelepasan pupuk NPK dari matriks hidrogel kitosan-polistirena semi-IPN dilakukan secara gravimetric dan spektrofotometri. Hasil uji pelepasan pupuk NPK yang terenkapsulasi dalam matriks hidrogel secara in situ loading lebih rendah dibandingkan secara post loading. Sifat lepas lambat dan kemampuan retensi air yang baik menunjukkan bahwa hidrogel kitosan-polistirena semi-IPN terenkapsulasi NPK berpotensi untuk aplikasi di bidang pertanian sebagai material pembawa pupuk.

To improve the effectiveness of the use of fertilizer in the planting medium, the modification of the fertilizer was conducted to achieve a slow-release fertilizer. In this study, NPK fertilizer which contain urea, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, and potassium dihydrogen phosphate was prepared. Encapsulation of NPK fertilizer using the semi-interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) and polystyrene-based chitosan hydrogels was conducted using in situ loading and post-loading. The semi-IPN chitosan-polystyrene hydrogels were composed of chitosan: styrene monomer with 80:20 ratio and 5% acetaldehyde 0.1 M has been used as crosslinking agent. Characterization of semi-IPN chitosan-polystyrene hydrogels and chitosan hydrogels has been done using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy and stereo microscope. Preliminary test such as sweliing ratio and the degree of crosslinking was also investigated. Efficiency Laoding NPK fertilizer with in situ loading method was found to be 92.96% which was greater than the post-loading method which 48.91% . the efficiency loading wasmeasured by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Study of NPK fertilizer release from the chitosan hydrogel matrix semi-IPN-polystyrene was determined by gravimetric and spectrophotometric methods. Release of NPK fertilizer encapsulated within a hydrogel matrix by in situ loading was found to be lower than in post loading. Slow-release property and good water retention capability indicates that the chitosan-polystyrene hydrogel semi-IPN encapsulated NPK has apotential for applications in agriculture as a fertilizer carrier material."

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian mengenai pengaruh variasi konsentrasi medium NPK terhadap pertumbuhan Mastigocladus HS-46 telah dilakukan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh medium NPK terhadap berat biomassa. Selain itu, penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi medium NPK yang tepat agar menghasilkan berat biomassa yang didukung dengan kandungan protein dan lipid yang tinggi. Mastigocladus HS-46 ditumbuhkan menggunakan medium BBM sebagai medium kontrol dan medium NPK sebagai medium uji. Konsentrasi medium NPK yang digunakan, yaitu 80 ppm, 160 ppm, dan 240 ppm. Mastigocladus HS-46 diinkubasi pada suhu 35 C, intensitas cahaya 1500 mdash;3000 lux, dan pH awal medium sebesar 6,5. Pertumbuhan Mastigocladus HS-46 dilihat secara kualitatif berdasarkan kurva pertumbuhan dan secara kuantitatif berdasarkan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Mastigocladus HS-46 yang ditumbuhkan dalam medium 240 ppm tumbuh lebih baik dari medium BBM, medium NPK 80 ppm, dan 160 ppm. Hal tersebut didukung dengan berat biomassa tertinggi pada hari ke-25 t25 sebesar 2,09 mg/mL-1 dan kandungan lipid tertinggi 57

ABSTRACT
The study about the effect of variation concentration medium NPK to the Biomass Mastigocladus Cyanobacteria had been done. The aim of the study was to known the effect of variance concentration of NPK growth media within the biomass production. The other aim of the study was to determine the best concentration NPK growth media for Mastigocladus HS 46 to produce higher biomass with high protein and lipid content. Mastigocladus HS 46 was grown in BBM as a control and NPK growth media as working media. The variance concentration of NPK growth media that had been used for this study were 80 ppm, 160 ppm and 240 ppm. Mastigocladus HS 46 was incubated on 35 C with light intensity 1500 mdash 3000 lux and initial pH 6.5. The growth of Mastigocladus HS 46 was meausured with qualitative data based on growth curve and quantitative data based on statistic. The result showed that the best concentration for Mastigocladus HS 46 growth was in 240 ppm than BBM, NPK medium 80 ppm, and NPK medium 160 ppm. Based on the highest biomass production was 2.09 mg.mL 1 and lipid content was 57. "
