Several species of the Artocarpus genus (Moraceae) have been investigated their natural product. The secondary metabolites successfully being isolatad from Artocarpus genus consist of terpenoid, flavonoids, stilbenoid, arylbenzofuran, neolignan, and adduct Diels-Alder. " Tumbuhan sukun (Artocarpus altilis) adalah salah satu tumbuhan nangkanangkaan (Artocarpus) dari suku Moraceae yang dikenal baik di Indonesia, merupakan tanaman asli Asia Selatan, Asia Tenggara, New Guinea dan Pasifik Selatan. Dua senyawa berhasil di isolasi dari ekstrak etil asetat daun sukun (Artocarpus altilis) yaitu β-Sitosterol yang berupa kristal jarum berwarna putih mempunyai titik leleh 133-135 ˚C yang memiliki massa molekul 414 dan suatu senyawa JS7 turunan flavonoid berupa padatan kuning cerah dengan massa molekul 404, ...
