"Adenoid cystic carcinoma is an extremely rare case of the esophagus. We present a female patient, aged 76 years who present with dysphagia and weight loss for tire last three month. On endoscopy there was a luminal narrowing in the middle third of the esophagus. Diagnosis was challenging due to the stenosis and the tumor size. Histopathological confirmation was obtained by subcarinal fine-needle aspiration biopsy. This type of cancer is very aggressive with short survival time. Further studies are needed to define optimal treatment."

"At this time there is an increasing demand for an accurate pre operative staging in non small cell lung cancer. Chest Computed Tomography (CT) is one of the imaging modality of choice used for this purpose. This study evaluated the accuracy of the chest CT to determine the status of tumor and nodules in non small cell lung cancer. During the years 1998 and 1999 a descriptive prospective study of 32 patients undergoing a contact enhanced chest CT examination for non small cell lung cancer, stage I-IIIA, was conducted. Lobectomy, lu\ymph nodes dissection and postoperatice histo-pathological examination were done. CT findings were as followas a sensitivity of 100% , a specificity of 25% and an accuracy of 60% in the detection of the nodule stage were found. In 17 patients with adeno-carcinoma, the sensitivity, the specificity and the accuracy were 86.6%, 100% dan 88.2% respectively. The diagnosis of all patients was conformed histo-pathologically. Six patients with T2 dan 26 patients with T3 were detected by chest CT; the accuracy of the tumor status was 93.7% confirmed by surgical and histo-pathological examinations. It was concluded that th CT played an important role in determining the clinical stage of non small cell lung cancer. The specificity and accuracy were higher in adeno-carcinoma as compare with squamous cell carcinoma in detecting the nodal status."

Lichen planus is relatively common inflamatory disorder which may have cutaneous and/or mucosal manifestation. The maglinant potential of oral lichen planus is still debatable. Some authors are sceptical about the premaglinant nature of the disease, while other investigators have reporterd that maglinant transformation occur in 1-10% of the cases. The aim of this study is to report a case of erosive oral lichen planus which shows maglinant transformation on histopatologic examination. A man of 39 years old visited the Dental Departement of Kariadi's Hospital with pain symptom of palatum, buccal and gingival mucosa both side for 6 months. On the physical examination shows the white lesions with striae configuration and pain, red erosive area inside on the palatum extends to the buccal mucosa and the gingival. The suspect dignose is erosive lichen planus, but the histopathologic examination shows epidermoid carcinoma. lt is concluded that erosive oral lichen planus has the potential to transform into epidermoid carcinoma."

"We report a case of carcinoma of the esophagus in a 58 years old woman with achalasia, who has been diagnosed since 30 years ago, which initiated by surgical treatment (myotomy) and the symptoms recurred since 3 years ago. According to the progress of the disease, malignancy was strongly suspected due to prolonged stasis and mucosal irritation caused by achalasia (achalasia carcinoma sequence). Because of these contributing factors for the development of serious complications such as malignancy the diagnosis of achalasia must be systematically diagnosed and treated agressively. Surveillance endoscopy in patients with achalasia should be performed every 1-2 years."

ABSTRACT
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) accounts for about 3% of cancers in adults as well as 85% of all primary malignancies arising from the kidney. RCC is commonly large at presentation and symptoms may not occur until relatively late in the disease. Lymph node and distant metastases were known as the prognostic factor in renal cell carcinoma. Clinical parameters are needed to predict the metastases preoperatively. This is a prospective-analytic using medical record data from January 1995 - December 2015 at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. This study evaluate clinical predictive factors for metastatic renal cell carcinoma incidence;"

Background : Urothelial carcinoma is the most common malignancy in the bladder and mainly occurs in older men. Risk factors for bladder cancer include smoking, exposure to chemicals, radiation and schistosoma hematobium infection. P53 is a tumor suppressor gene that is involved in the cell cycle and plays a role in the occurrence of apoptosis in response to DNA damage. P53 gene mutation is one of the most common genetic changes in urothelial bladder carcinoma. The p53 gene mutation will cause accumulation of p53 protein in the nuclei which can be detected through immunohistochemical examination. The aim of this study is to see differences of p53 expression in low grade and high grade urothelial carcinoma and to see the association of p53 expression with tumor stage. Material and method : This study uses a cross sectional study design. The sample consisted of 47 cases of urothelial bladder carcinoma divided into 22 cases of low grade urotelial carcinoma and 25 cases of high grade urotelial carcinoma originating from the archives of the Anatomical Pathology Department Faculty Medicine of Universitas Indonesia/Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (FKUI/ RSCM) in 2009-2017. The study was carried out by p53 immunohistochemical examination and assessment of p53 expression using a percentage with a positive cut off value of ≥ 20%. Result : This study obtained positive p53 expression in 33 samples from 47 samples studied (70,21%). Most are found in high grade urothelial carcinoma as many as 20 cases (80%). Whereas in low grade urothelial carcinoma there are 13 cases (59,1%) with positive p53 expression. As many as 22 cases (68,8%) of Non muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and 11 cases (73,3%) of Muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) showed positive p53 expression. There was no difference between p53 expression in low grade and high grade bladder urothelial carcinoma (p=0,118). This study also showed no association between p53 expression with tumor stage (p=1,000). Conclusion : P53 expression was not significantly different with tumor grade. P53 expression was not significantly associated with the tumor stage."

Background: Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) is a common malignancy in Indonesia. Immune-related molecules that have been studied are Programmed Death-1 (PD-1)/Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1). This study aims to determine the profile of PD-L1 from NPC specimens in Indonesia.
Method: A nasopharyngeal biopsy specimen was taken to examine the concentration of PD-L1 protein by the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Immunohistochemistry (IHC) examinations were conducted to determine the PD-L1 expression.
Results: Fifty-four nasopharyngeal biopsy specimens were obtained. Thirty-five of 54 specimens were confirmed histologically for undifferentiated NPC with an average age of 51 years. The rest, 19 other specimens are histologically non NPC with an average age of 37 years. On ELISA examination, the median PD-L1 concentration of the NPC specimen was 2100.73 ± 3689.52 pg/mg protein, and the non-KNF specimen was 1010.88 ± 1082.37 pg/mg protein. At the IHC examination of 30 NPC samples for PD-L1 expression examination, all of them expressed PD-L1 positive, with details; score 1 is 7%, score 2 is 30%, and score 3 is 63%.
Conclusion: PD-L1 protein from NPC specimens by ELISA examination was significantly increased compared to non-NPC. All NPC specimens with IHC examination expressed PD-L1 positive with a majority score of 3.
