Untuk menemukan sistem religi masyarakat Nias yang digambarkan dalam novel Manusia Langit ini dan melihat pandangan apa yang dimasukkan pengarang ke dalam novel, penulis mengkaji novel ini dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra.
