"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas bentuk persaingan Amerika Serikat (AS) dan China dalammemperoleh akses energi di Asia Tengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitiankuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian inimeyimpulkan bahwa AS dan China menganggap Asia Tengah sebagai kawasandengan nilai geostrategis dan geo-ekonomi yang menguntungkan di masa depan.Terdapat perbedaan strategi dan diplomasi antara AS dan China dalam menjalinhubungan dengan Asia Tengah. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini juga menjelaskanpersaingan energi yang masih akan terus berlangsung dengan membawa kepentingankepentingandiluar bidang energi untuk saling melemahkan pihak lawan sesuaidengan kebijakan nasional.

AbstractThe focus of this study is about the form of rivalry between United States (US) andChina in acquiring energy access in Central Asia. This research use a quantitativestudy with method of literary study. The purpose of this research is to understandwhy US and China made a foreign policy towards Central Asia. This studysummarize that US and China consider Central Asia as a region with geo-strategicand geo-economic value that will bring benefits in the future. There are differences ofstrategy and diplomacy between US and China in establish a relationship with CentralAsia. The findings of this study also describes about energy competition will becontinued as long as US and China have national interest in Central Asia. US andChina have a hidden agenda to block each other in order to control Central Asia andinhibits the opposing side

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinyadinamika kebijakan luar negeri AS terhadap kelompok Uighur (periode 2002-2011). Penelitian ini akan dianalisis dengan konsep kepentingan nasional. Dengankonsep tersebut, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kebijakan luar negeri ASterhadap kelompok Uighur terkait dengan kepentingan-kepentingan AS yaitukepentingan ekonomi dan strategis. Kepentingan ekonomi tersebut adalah minyakdan gas di wilayah Xinjiang, dan perdagangan dengan China. Sedangkankepentingan strategis tersebut adalah alasan keamanan dan hegemoni AS.

AbstractThe aim of this thesis is to explain the factors that cause the inconsistency of U.S.foreign policy toward Uyghur terrorist groups (period 2002-2011). According tothe concept and theory, the thesis has proved that the inconsistency of U.S.foreign policy toward Uyghur terrorist groups related to the U.S. national interestswhich are the economic and strategic interest.
