"ABSTRACTThe Purpose of this paper is to theoretically explore the possibility of "Beauty" that contributes to the "connections" between people. This paper focuses on "Kaisho (meeting space)" in the medieval muromachi period, which is a "place" where people could gather without distinction of social status and "Doboshu" displayed their cultural skills such as tea ceremony, Noh play, incence burning, and wake poems."

"Identitas hadir sebagai bagian penting dalam kehidupan subjek. Konsep identitas hadir sebagai cara orang di luar subjek, untuk bisa membedakan subjek dengan yang lain. Seringkali identitas yang diyakini memiliki status ontologis universal, hal ini membuat terkadang identitas yang hadir terlihat tidak cocok dengan situasi disekeliling actual world subjek. Possible worlds hadir sebagai cara untuk subjek bisa melihat segala kemungkinan, salah satunya permasalahan identitas. Dengan possible worlds membentuk pola pikir subjek untuk meyakini bahwa identitas tidak hadir secara tunggal, melainkan hadir secara jamak. Hal itu terjadi karena ada kausa dan modalitas yang melekat pada subjek.

"Energi listrik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan penting dalam masyarakat pesisir terutama diwilayah pulau-pulau kecil yang tidak terjangkau jaringan listrik nasional. Untuk memenuhikebutuhan tersebut dilakukan berbagai upaya diversifikasi energi, seperti pemanfaatan potensienergi arus laut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui morfologi dasar laut dansifat-sifat hidro-oseanografi sebagai referensi lokasi yang tepat dalam pemanfaatan energi aruslaut. Lokasi penelitian di Selat Larantuka antara Pulau Flores dan Pulau Adonara ? PropinsiNusa Tenggara Timur. Metode penelitian berupa pengukuran arus, pengamatan pasang surut,pengamatan parameter meteorologi dan kondisi morfologi pesisir dan dasar laut daerahpenelitian. Penelitian menunjukkan lokasi penempatan turbin arus laut cukup memenuhi syaratdengan morfologi relatif landai pada kedalaman ± 20 meter dan dekat dari pemukimanpenduduk. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pengukuran arus dengan ADCP bergerak diperolehdistribusi kecepatan arus yang terendah adalah 0.004 m/det dan tertinggi 3.68 m/det. Sedangkandari hasil pengukuran arus dengan ADCP stasioner diperoleh harga kecepatan arus terendahadalah 0.002 m/det dan tertinggi sekitar 2.83 m/det. Kondisi ini erat kaitannya dengan tipepasang surut di daerah penelitian, yaitu tipe semi diurnal dengan dua kali kejadian pasang dandua kali kejadian surut dalam waktu 24 jam. Jadi, hasil analisis energi arus ini sangat potensialuntuk dimanfaatkan sebagai pembangkit tenaga listrik."

"The objective of this paper is to measure the effect of children’s television viewing on their performance in school. To this end, we use Japanese time use data to estimate ordered probit models with and without an instrumental variable. The instrumental variable is the number of viewable commercial broadcast channels in the prefecture where a child and his/her family live. We find that, all else being equal, the more television a child views, the more likely it is for the child’s mother to report negative performance of her child in school. However, our instrumental variable estimates provide no evidence that television viewing by children affects either the mother’s report of the performance of her child or the child’s self-report on the speed of lessons in school. This study provides no evidence that television viewing has a negative impact on children’s performance in school, although we should not overlook the possibility of weak instruments."

"The research was aimed to determine the characteristics of growth among the region, basic of sectors in province and regency/ town, regional share and national share position in deciding to the economics growth among the region during 1996 to 2002 period. The result could be useful as basic consideration to deciding the development planning in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province.The purposive metode was used to determine the sample and the PDB and PDRB data were used in according to constant price in 1993. Klassen tipology, location quotient analysis (LQ) and mix and share analysis were used in this research.In the klassen tipology analysis, were found one as the retarted region characteristics (North Aceh Regency) eight regions as the growing region characteristics. And that included in the relatively back region characteristics and one as the relatively back region (West Aceh Regency).LQ analysis resulted, that there were 3 basic sectors in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, an agriculture sector; mining and quarrying sector; communication and transportation sector. At regency/town level, agriculture sector was the basic sector for 7 regions. Manufacturing Industries Sector was the basic sector in East Aceh Regency. The electricity, gas and water supply were the basic sector for 9 regions. Construction sector was the basic sector for 8 region. Trade, restaurant and hotel were the basic sector in 8 regions. The communication and transportation were the basic sector for 7 regions. Finance, Rent of Building and Business Services were the basic sector in 5 regions. Services sector was the basic sector for 9 regions but only sector was non basic sector (North Aceh Regency).Based on the mix and share analysis were found that the economic growth of nine regions were determined of regional share and one region was determined of national share (North Aceh Regency)."
