"Skripsi ini membuktikan pengaruh media massa terhadap konsep kesempurnaan tampilan diri dalam praktek bedah kosmetik melalui teori simulasi Jean Baudrillard. Maraknya praktek bedah kosmetik pada era globalisasi sekarang ini dilatar belakangi oleh perkembangan teknologi dan sistem komunikasi, kapitalisme global, budaya popular, masyarakat konsumen serta media massa. Teori simulasi menjelaskan bahwa melalui praktek bedah kosmetik, tampilan diri berubah menjadi suatu arena tempat tanda, citra, dan kode dimanipulasi sedemikian rupa. Hal tersebut mengantarkan tampilan diri manusia kepada suatu keadaan yang disebut dengan hiperrealitas tampilan diri yang telah terputus dengan tampian diri aslinya.

This research applies Baudrillard's simulations theory to show that mass media have influenced our conception about bodily appearance which have encouraged people to do cosmetic surgery. The rise of cosmetic surgery in this globalization era caused by the development of technology and communication, global capitalism, pop culture, consumer society, and mass media. Through cosmetic surgeries, bodily appearance have become manipulation arena of sign, image, and code. This condition creates the hyperreality of bodily appearance."

"Makalah ini membahas tentang wujud eksploitasi tubuh dan seksualitas perempuan yang ada dalam film “Perempuan Punya Cerita.” Film ini merupakan kumpulan empat film pendek. Satu film pendek yang akan dikupas dalam makalah ini adalah film “Cerita Pulau.” “Cerita Pulau” menceritakan tentang seorang gadis kepulauan kecil yang diperkosa oleh pemuda setempat. Makalah ini juga membahas tentang konflik-konflik yang timbul dalam kasus tersebut dilihat dari sudut pandang feminisme radikal, terutama mengenai pembebasan diri seorang perempuan atas tubuhnya.

In this paper focus on the short story “Cerita Pulau.” “Cerita Pulau” is about a girl from a small island who was raped by local boys. This paper also discusses about the conflicts that appeal from the case, seen from the point of view of radical feminism, especially about how a woman fight for her rights over her body."

"ABSTRAKStudi terdahulu belum banyak yang memaparkan bagaimana proses seksualitasdireproduksi lewat dunia maya walaupun internet menjadi sarana baru dalammengekspresikan seksualitas. Internet berperan penting dalam mengubah interasiantaraindividu dan membawa dinamika dalam seksualitas perempuan. Penelitianini memaparkan reproduksi seksualitas perempuan di situs 9GAG. 9GAGmemiliki forum NSFW yang berisi gambar perempuan seksi dan meme yangbersifat seksis. Penelitian ini membahas bagimana seksualitas perempuandireproduksi dalam unggahan NSFW agar lebih dapat memahami dinamika duniamaya yang bekerja secara spesifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodewawancara mendalam dan analisis unggahan gambar NSFW dan meme berbauseksis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa internet tidak membawa pengaruhberarti terhadap seksualitas perempuan yang kaku. Internet mengadopsi nilai dannorma yang ada di masyarakat dan tidak membawa banyak perubahan terhadapliberasi seksual perempuan.

ABSTRACTThe preceding studies have not much to explain how the process of sexuality isreproduced through cyberspace even though the Internet became a new tool ofexpressing sexuality. Internet plays an important role in changing the interactionbetween the individual and bring dynamism in female sexuality. This studydescribes the reproductive female sexuality in 9GAG site. 9GAG has NSFWforum that contains pictures of sexy women and sexist meme. This studydiscusses how women's sexuality that NSFW has been reproduced to betterunderstand the dynamics of the virtual world that works specifically. This studyuses in-depth interviews and analysis of NSFW images and sexist meme. Thisstudy shows that the Internet does not carry any influences against starchedfemale sexuality. Internet adopts the values and norms that exist in society anddoes not bring much change to the sexual liberation of women."
