"Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan realitas sejarah sosial-politik Indonesia dalam novel Larasati karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan perspektif New Historicism. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif interpretif dengan paralel pembacaan antara karya sastra dengan teks sejarah dan desain analisis isi. Gambaran realitas sejarah sosial dan politik Indonesia (periode 1945 hingga 1966) dalam novel Larasati dengan perspektif New Historicism Greenblatt dianggap efektif untuk mengeksplorasi fenomena teks sastra. Novel ini secara langsung berkaitan dengan manifestasi politik Indonesia yang meliputi (1) struktur ideologi yang digunakan untuk memperkuat kekuatan berbasis negara, dan (2) praktik diskursif, bahasa politik yang mengacu pada konstruksi pengetahuan melalui bahasa yang memberi makna pada segi material dan praktik sosial-politik yang melingkupinya."

"Penelitian ini akan menganalisis historisisme dalam cerpen “Lasmini: Ronggeng Lebakbarang” (LRL) karya Gati Andoko dengan menerapkan teori historisisme yang dipaparkan oleh Slavoj Žižek. Cerpen tersebut menceritakan seorang ronggeng bernama Lasmini yang menjadi anggota pasukan dokter Moestopo dengan menghadirkan tokoh-tokoh dan peristiwa historis berlatar kolonialisme Belanda. Metode yang akan dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan interpretatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa kehadiran para tokoh dan peristiwa historis dalam cerpen LRL tidak berperan sebagai alat legitimasi kebenaran sejarah umum (common sense). Sebaliknya, cerpen tersebut menghadirkan delegitimasi dan intervensi terhadap logos sejarah (historisisme) itu sendiri. Kehadiran karya sastra sebagai subjek dalam hal ini seolah-olah bertendensi pada narasi-narasi subversif. Sehingga, historisitas dalam cerpen tersebut hadir sebagai bentuk liberalitas dan resistensi terhadap historisisme."
