Artikel ini dijelaskan penggunaan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran pengetahuan sosial untuk siswa SD. Sebelum melakukan penelitian, peneliti menemukan bahwa guru belum sepenuhnya melibatkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, siswa memiliki motivasi rendah, belajar suasana tidak baik dan siswa pencapaian itu sangat rendah.
