Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kyōgashi yang disajikan pada perayaan ohanami. Kyōgashi adalah istilah untuk kue manis ala Jepang yang dibuat di Kyoto dan pada umumnya dijadikan sebagai hadiah dan disuguhkan pada upacara minum teh. Secara bentuk, kyōgashi mencerminkan alam Jepang. Penulis meneliti makna yang terkandung pada kyōgashi ohanami melalui bentuk dan warna-nya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kyōgashi merupakan bentuk simbolis dari kecintaan orang Jepang terhadap alam dan menjadikannya sebagai objek penghargaan.
