"Tesis ini membahas mengenai bagaimana penggunaan perhitungan line balancing untuk menyusun suatu layout dengan melakukan pengaturan workstation pada masing-masing proses. Pada tesis ini dicoba dilakukan pendekatan untuk 2 jenis ketebalan kaca yang memegang porsi sales paling besar, yaitu 5 mm dan 12 mm.Output yang dihasilkan lewat tesis ini adalah keseimbangan proses kerja diantara semua workstation yang ada di PT. Maruni DayaSakti sehingga didapatkan penggabungan workstation yang paling efisien dan pada akhirnya bisa diperoleh suatu layout yang paling efisien.

This thesis discusses the use of line balancing calculations to prepare a layout through workstation setting in each process. In this thesis, approach to be tested for 2 types of glass thickness which holds the largest share of sales, that is 5 mm and 12 mm. Output generated through this thesis is a balance of work among all the workstations in PT. Maruni DayaSakti, so it can obtained the most efficient workstations merging and ultimately we can have the most efficient layout."

Telah terbuat sistem pengendali posisi bola pada ball balancing menggunakan
logika fuzzy. Alat ini mengendalikan putaran motor yang dapat membuat bola
besi berubah posisi yang terbaca oleh sensor kawat nikelin. Untuk memerintahkan
putaran motor kekanan atau kekiri semua telah diatur oleh komputer yang
dihubungkan ke mikrocontroller dengan menggunakan komunikasi serial dan
mempunyai kecepatan pengiriman data (baudrate) 19200. Alat ini akan
menampilkan posisi bola pada Display dan menggunakan rangkaian Driver
Motor DC yang berfungsi untuk memutar motor dc kekanan atau kekiri sesuai
dengan perintah yang dikirim oleh mikrocontroller

ABSTRACT
Have is made ball position controller system balancing ball use fuzzy logic. This
appliance control motor rotation able to make iron ball change position read by
nikelin strand of metal censor. To command to right motor rotation or to left all
have been arranged by interfaced to computer mikrocontroller by using serial
communications and have speed of delivery data (baudrate) 19200. This appliance
will present ball position in Display and use functioning Driver Motor DC
network to turn around to right dc motor or to left as according to comand sent by
mikrocontroller"

"Penelitian ini membahas peningkatan efisiensi lini produksi pada perusahan industri manufaktur sepeda motor dengan metode line balancing. Idle time yang terlampau tinggi di lapangan yang mengakibatkan ketidakseimbangan lintasan berpotensi menghambat pencapaian target produksi yang meningkat setiap tahunnya. Untuk memperbaiki hal tersebut, maka dilakukan proses line balancing. Proses line balancing dilakukan dengan Largest Candidate Rule (LCR), Kilbridge and Wester Column (KCW), Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), dan Binary Integer Programming (BIP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Binary Integer Programming (BIP) menghasilkan rancangan keseimbangan lintasan terbaik, dengan line efficiency meningkat hingga 95,36%, balance delay berkurang menjadi 4,64%, smoothness index turun menjadi 4,3, dan jumlah stasiun kerja berkurang menjadi 11.

This research discusses increasing efficiency of the steering handle production line by means of line balancing in a motorcycle manufacturing company. The high idle time causing disbalance in the line assembly can hinder the production target pursuit that increases each year. In order to prevent this, the process of line balancing is performed. The methods used for line balancing are Largest Candidate Rule (LCR), Kilbridge and Wester Column (KCW), Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), and Binary Integer Programming (BIP). This research shows that Binary Integer Programming (BIP) produces the best line balancing recommendation, increasing line efficiency up to 95.36%, lowering balance delay to 4.64%, decreasing smoothness index to 4.3, and reducing workstation needed to eleven.

"Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi mendorong setiap perusahaan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dalam memproduksi suatu produk termasuk pada perusahaan fabrikasi jembatan. Peningkatan efisiensi pada lintasan produksi penting untuk membuat aliran produksi menjadi lebih lancar dan menghasilkan keluaran yang lebih besar. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi adalah melakukan penyeimbangan lini dengan mengatur elemen-elemen kerja ke dalam stasiun kerja sehingga diperoleh keseimbangan waktu kerja yang baik.
Penyeimbangan lini yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua metode yaitu Ranked Positioning Weight dan Moodie Young. Konfigurasi awal lintasan produksi memliki tiga stasiun kerja dengan efisiensi lini sebesar 73,25% dan balance delay sebesar 26,75%. Hasil penyeimbangan lini mengelompokan elemen kerja yang ada ke dalam 5 stasiun kerja dan menghasilkan peningkatan efisiensi lini menjadi 81,80% dan balance delay menjadi 18,20%.

The development of science and technology encourage companies to be competitive by increase their productivity. Efficiency in production line is necessary to make production flows more smoothly and as the result the company produce a greater output than before. One of method to increase efficiency is line balancing by distribute work elements into the work station in order to obtain a good balance of work time.
This research using two methods to balance the production line: Ranked Positioning Weight and Moodie Young. The initial production line performance is measured. The production line has three work stations with line efficiency of 73.25% and balance delay amounted to 26.75%. The application of line balancing improve the production line performance. The work elements distribute into five work stations and as the result line efficiency raise to 81.80% and it reduce the balance delay to 18.20%.

"Baterai adalah salah satu komponen kelistrikan yang digunakan untuk menyimpan energi listrik. Pada masa kini, jenis baterai yang banyak digunakan adalah baterai bermaterial lithium. Material lithium memiliki power density yang relatif tinggi daripada material lainnya, namun material lithium sangat beracun dan berbahaya bagi makhluk hidup dan memerlukan penanganan khusus dalam pengoperasiannya, salah satunya dengan sistem manajemen baterai. Pada skripsi ini, dilakukan desain sistem manajemen baterai yang dapat memproteksi baterai dari overcharging dan dapat melakukan passive balancing pada hubung seri baterai lithium. Pada pengujian purwarupa, dilakukan uji coba rangkaian proteksi overcharging dengan memonitor nilai tegangan dan arus tiap sel baterai ketika diisi daya sedangkan uji coba rangkaian passive balancing dilakukan dengan mengukur nilai tegangan tiap sel baterai ketika diisi daya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian purwarupa rangkaian proteksi overcharging dan passive balancing yang dibuat, rangkaian mampu memproteksi setiap sel baterai dari overcharging dan mampu menyeimbangkan tiap sel baterai hubung seri dengan prinsip passive balancing pada tegangan 3.75 Volt dengan arus pengisian 0.2 Ampere.

Battery is an electrical component used to store electricity. Nowadays, the most widely used battery is the Lithium Ion battery. Lithium battery has a relatively high energy density compared to its predecessor, but is highly toxic and hazardous for living organisms and requires careful handling in its operation, one of such is to use a battery management system. In this thesis, an overcharging protection and passive balancing battery management system for series connected lithium battery is designed. The prototype testing is done by testing the overcharging protection capability by monitoring each cell voltage and current value when charged. The testing of passive balancing capability is done by measuring each cell voltage when charged. Based from the overcharging and passive balancing circuit prototype testing data, it is concluded that the prototype is able to provide cells overcharging protection and able to passively balance each series connected battery cell at 3.75 Volt using 0.2 Ampere of charging current. "

"In recent years, there is a significant increase on the demand of multimedia services. The use and delivery of various multimedia applications, collectively and continuously, creates increasing demand on network bandwidth. However, in most of the countries, the available bandwidth capacity remains very limited Majority users living in these regions are having difficulties to access such applications. A solution to this problem is by embedding the capability to dynamically change the format of bandwidth-intensive multimedia applications to a more efficient one into the network. The process which alters multimedia application from one format to another format is known as Transcoding. For example, cinepak format requiring high bandwidth is transcoded into lower format such as example H263. Since transcoding process is very demanding in terms computing resources, load balancing strategy in a newark environment heaps to share the load among the transcoder processor; and in turn, improves throughput and efficiency. This paper describes the implementation and analysis of applying transcoder with load balancing mechanism in a video streaming environment. Three load balancing algorithms are considered and real tests using various video and audio formats are performed in this environment. Eventhough the load balancing strategy improves the performance of the system, we still find that as the number processes increases the ability to deliver multimedia applications through transcoding process decreases. Moreover, we also conclude that our system still poses scalability problems and therefore further work is required."

"[ABSTRAK
VANET adalah sebuah jaringan tanpa infrastruktur yang terdiri dari entitas atau node bergerak yang memiliki perangkat wireless untuk berkomunikasi satu sama lain. VANET memiliki topologi yang dinamis yang disebabkan oleh mobilitas dari node-node pada VANET. Dalam simulasi pada vanet dibutuhkan model mobilitas yang mencerminkan keadaan sebenarnya. Model mobilitas menentukan pergerakan dari entitas/node, bagaimana node bergerak, kecepatan dan percepatan dalam VANET. Untuk mencegah kemacetan di jalan raya dilakukan load balancing/pengalihan arus kendaraan untuk membagi trafik kendaraan, dengan satu jalur jalan raya, kepadatan kendaraan akan sangat tinggi, pada topologi grid map dengan load balancing, kepadatan kendaraan dapat berkurang. Pada simulasi didapatkan penurunan kinerja pada model mobilitas grid map dengan load balancing. Pada load balancing, perubahan topologi yang menjadi lebih besar mengakibatkan penurunan kinerja dari load balacing pada model mobilitas gridmap dengan 19,3% pada delay, 5,08% pada packet delivery ratio dan 5,46% pada throughput dalam paramater AODV dan 0,01% pada delay, 12,70% packet delivery ratio dan 12,73% pada throughput dalam parameter DSDV.

VANET is an infrastucture less network that consist of entities or mobile nodes that contain wireless device for communicating each other. VANET has dynamic topology due to node mobility. VANET simulation is need mobility model that reflecting the real situation. Mobility model determines the movement of mobile nodes how their location, velocity and acceleration in VANET. To prevent congestion on the road, grip map topology is use to divide the traffic, with the one lane road map, the vehicles density will very high, with load balance grid map topology the vehicles density will separated to other road. On simulation result we get the decrease performance on the load balacing of grid map mobility model. On the load balancing dynamic topology will cause scalability of the network and impact to performance of mobility model. Perkembangan ekonomi politik di kawasan Asia Pasifik yang semakin
dinamis berdampak pada lahirnya beberapa institusi ekonomi regional baru,
termasuk salah satu yang menarik perhatian adalah Trans Pacific Partnership.
Sebagai instutusi yang disponsori oleh AS, TPP diproyeksikan sebagai high level
FTA yang tidak sekedar mencakup kesepakatan terkait perdagangan dan investasi
namun juga isu-isu lain yang lebih kompleks seperti perlindungan hak cipta (IPR),
perlindungan hak buruh, kompetisi terkait Badan Usaha Milik Negara, dan
beberapa isu-isu lain dengan standard yang cukup tinggi. Dengan persyaratan
seperti ini, maka menjadi menarik ketika Vietnam memutuskan untuk bergabung
ke dalamnya. Setidaknya ada dua faktor yang membuat keanggotaan Vietnam
dalam TPP menjadi menarik untuk dianalisa lebih lanjut, yang pertama adalah
kedekatan antar Vietnam dengan Tiongkok yang selama ini terbangun, serta
kemampuan Vietnam sebagai negara berkembang dalam memenuhi syarat-suarat
tinggi yang sedang dirundingkan oleh TPP.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor utama penyebab
bergabungnya Vietnam ke dalam TPP. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan
metode kalitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan wawancara
baik langsung maupun tidak langsung kepada beberapa pihak yang terkait dengan
keanggotaan Vietnam dalam TPP.

competition related to State Owned Enterprise, and other other high level issues.
Based on these facts, it is interesting when Vietnam finally decide to join TPP.
There are at least two factors which made Vietnam membership in TPP is
interesting to be analyzed, first is about its close relation with China, and second
is Vietnam's ability in achieving the high standard regulations set by TPP.
This research aims to find out main factors which cause Vietnam to join
