Charles Thomas Newton (1816–1894) was a British archaeologist specialising in Greek and Roman artefacts. He studied at Christ Church, Oxford before joining the British Museum as an assistant in the Antiquities Department. Newton left the Museum in 1852 to explore the coasts and islands of Asia Minor. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai tipologi bentuk alat cangkang
Pelecypoda situs Gua Kidang, Blora, Jawa Tengah. Jumlah alat yang diteliti
dalam penelitian ini adalah 97 buah. Unit analisis yang digunakan dalam
pembentukan tipologi adalah jenis cangkang yang dimanfaatkan, bentuk alat,
bentuk tajaman, dan retus pengerjaan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan delapan tipe,
14 sub-tipe, dan 16 variasi alat. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga memperlihatkan
bahwa alat-alat cangkang Pelecypoda di situs Gua Kidang umumnya merupakan
alat-alat yang menunjukkan sedikit atau tidak adanya modifikasi berupa retus
setelah cangkangnya ...
