By utilizing the data from Indonesian Family Life Survey IFLS East year 2012, this study attempts to find empirical evidence on the existence of wage differentials between indigenous and non indigenous workers in Papua, Indonesia with Blinder Oaxaca decomposition. The regression results indicate that 18.7 of the difference in the wage returns that the market yields to a unit change in characteristics remain unexplained, showing an early indication of statistical discrimination.
