"Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth (Piperaceae) adalah tumbuhan herba yang berguna dalam mengobati hipertensi, rematik, asam urat, sakit kepala dan sakit perut. Kandungan senyawa utama adalah alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tannin. Metode ekstraksi Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) yang akan digunakan untuk memperoleh kadar flavonoid total, profil flavonoid menggunakan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT) densitometri dan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan DPPH yang optimum dari herba Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth. Faktor efisiensi MAE yang digunakan meliputi, konsentrasi pelarut, waktu ekstraksi ratio sampel terhadap pelarut, dan daya alat MAE yang dianalisis menggunakan Response Surface Mathodology (RSM).Hasil analisis, kondisi optimum yang diperoleh untuk kadar flavonoid total (36, 91 mg kuersetin ekuivalen / g ekstrak) adalah konsentrasi pelarut 80 %, ratio sampel terhadap pelarut 1:12, waktu ekstraksi 2 menit, dan daya alat mae 70 %. Uji aktivitas penghambatan radikal bebas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH (28,85 %) dengan konsentrasi pelarut 65 %, ratio sampel terhadap pelarut 1:10, waktu ekstraksi 3 menit dan daya alat MAE 50 %. Profil KLT densitometri menunjukkan adanya senyawa flavonoid yang terkandung dalam herba Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth. Analisis hubungan menunjukkan tidak ada korelasi antara kadar flavonoid total dengan aktivitas antioksidan.

Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth known as ? Suruhan? is one of the potential medical plants that used for the treatment of rheumatism, gout, headache and abdominal pain. Chemical constituens contained in this plant are alkaloids, flavonoid, sapponins tannins. The extraction method Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) which will be used to obtain the total flavonoid content, flavonoid profiles using thin layer chromatography (TLC) densitometry and test the antioxidant activity using DPPH optimum of Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth herb. This study to obtain optimum conditions MAE covering, solvent concentration, extraction time, solid-liquid ratio, and MAE power using RSM.The analysis result of optimum condition obtained was the content of flavonoid was 36,91 mg quercetin ekuivalents / g extract the condition with solvent concentration of ethanol 80 %, solid-liquid ratio 1:12, extraction time of 2 minutes, and MAE power 70%. The result of antioxidant activity 28.85 % with solvent concentration of ethanol 65%, solid-liquid ratio 1:10, extraction time 3 minutes and MAE power 50%. TLC densitometry profile showed flavonoid compounds contained in Peperomia pellucida (L.) Kunth herb. The analysis showed no correlation between the levels of total flavonoids with antioxidant activity."
